    Pros +

    • If you want to have a view of the castle this this is a PERFECT hotel. The view is amazing, the breakfast is very good, great variety and also the great view of castle/grounds. The room was clean and maybe slightly larger then the normally small Japanese room. There is a hotel shuttle that will take you to the train station which is great once you know where it picks up and drops off (see below) because this hotel is not directly on a train/subway line. For the view I would give this hotel a 10 overall I think a 7-8 is about right and my person experience (see below) I'd give it a 6 just because of staff
    • Staff was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The views of Osaka Castle are amazing.
    • Nice area, and nice room and facilities

    Cons -

    • Well before even arriving I got the feeling the staff here just didn't care. I messaged the hotel to see where the shuttle picks up as I was expecting rain. I received no response twice yet when I checked in they asked if I found the shuttle ok so they saw the messages but never responded?? Thru my stay I had a couple of other instances with the staff just not being responsive, I am one of the least need guests ever, I don't get housekeeping etc but they just didn't seem friendly or helpful. On this 27 day trip this was the least friendly, helpful staff I encountered. To add this this experience, when I left the hotel, I accidentally left a jacket (I didn't need during my stay and forgot it) in the closet, totally my fault. I messaged the hotel, no response, my friends who were still at the hotel tried to get it, they wouldn't allow them. I messaged the hotel again telling them my next hotel (knowing we could get the jacket to me) no response, 3 messages and friends trying to get this item and NOTHING. Sorry but from the previous experience I know these messages are read and ignored. Regardless of my personal experience, the other thing I think people MAY not like. If you haven't been to Osaka before (I have, a few times) the view, as I mentioned is fantastic but this hotel is a bit out of the action so if that matters to you this is NOT a good location but if you are looking for a great view and a quiet area this 100% is a great spot just don't try and get the shuttle on arrival or any kind of valuable customer service.
    • No middle-end dining facilities were open, only a high-end japanese restaurant on the top floor. Would have enjoyed having a bar and reasonably priced food. Request a castle view room, because there is nothing to see on the other side. Sort of a hike to the train station and shuttle service is limited.
    • The pillow is filled with some hard materials, perhaps grain husks which is uncomfortable to sleep on. The size of the room is tight. After opening two suitcases, we hardly have any space left.

Clean and efficient. Easy access to Osaka castle and transportation.

The shuttle bus service is a great help to save us 15 minutes of walking to/from Morinomiya Station. The shower head has adjustable spraying. The Osaka Castle is just opposite our room. A great view and easy access to visit the compound.

The pillow is filled with some hard materials, perhaps grain husks which is uncomfortable to sleep on. The size of the room is tight. After opening two suitcases, we hardly have any space left.

The location. Just crossing the street and you are in the castle. My room had the view of the Castle. Is near to 2 subway/train lines Well connected. The room is in good size comparing with standard in Japan. Near the hotel there are few nice caffes for morning and afternoon.

The coffee shop in the hotel close early and by night you have no restaurants nearby.

Location was unbeatable! Exclusive view to Osaka Castle is priceless. Overall great stay! Food at restaurant is great too!

The tub was a bit small, if you weren't careful you could step wrong on the sloping side and fall.

Central easy beautiful walk to castle and museums

    9Tomek_OPosted on: 2-11-2025

Proximity to the Osaka castle, free shuttle bus to metro station. Shops, Restaurants and a small shopping mall within a short walking distance. Free luggage storage.

Breakfast not included in the room price.

The location was as close as you can get to the Osaka Castle, and the room had a spectacular view of the castle. And the breakfast amazing, we had the best hotel breakfast of our lives! So many delicious options of both Japanese and western-style cuisine. And of course, we ate breakfast all while enjoying that amazing view of the castle. Will definitely return to this hotel!

This was very minor, but it would be great if the TV was a Smart TV so guests could stream different movies and TV shows.

The view was one of the most attractive thing about this hotel. We booked 2 rooms next to each other with the castle view and they carried out the request correctly. Although the size of the rooms were a bit small, it was quite reasonable with the location and the amenities.

We were trying to look around at the restaurants in the hotel but didn't intend to eat at that time and the staff did not let us in. We might take it too seriously but it was not very pleasant.

The hotel is very close to the Osaka Castle and the JR line circle with easy access to the airport and the JR line to other cities for day trips. I recommend you choose a room with the view to the castle

The room is small, but we knew that from the description, this is the standard in Japan

    nice view of the castle

    far away from the subway

    9ClaesPosted on: 1-4-2025

Room size above average for Japan. Fantastic view to the castle if you choose castle view.

Poor sound proofing from corridor. You can ealisy hear other guests and their conversations through the door.

I loved the location! It's right across the street from the Osaka Castle grounds. I got a view of the castle from my room, and what a beautiful view it was. The room was very spacious and very clean.

The beds were a little hard, it felt like a sheet was laid over a block of wood and made to be a bed. It is also kind of far removed from the city portion of where it's located in Osaka. About a 20 min walk from a lot of the restaurants and a 10 minute walk on a busy street from the nearest station entrance. However, if you don't mind walking (like I didn't) you should be fine.

Location was perfect. The reception staff were nice and polite. The room was clean and had everything you could need.

Breakfast restaurant manager was very rude. I went to talk to my son and his wife who were having breakfast and he was very angry telling me to leave if I was not buying breakfast - there was no one else in the restaurant!
