    Pros +

    • Very clean room with all amenities needed. Coffee and tea in the lobby. Nice bath tub for soaking with full private bath - nice for family traveling. They were generous with clean towels daily.
    • very clean. Decent sized rooms. Loved the free massage chairs and available laundry facilities (machines had built-in detergent dispenser so didn't have to buy)
    • Hotel was clean and comfortable and staff was very kind.

    Cons -

    • It was a bit further away from some of the attractions but close to the train station so simple to get there. Given the cleanliness and value of the room this made up for the extra train connection.
    • No nearby restaurants.
    • The rooms are pretty small.

    The rooms are pretty small.

We were able to fit a family of 5 in one room. The hotel staff were very helpful. They had bikes to use for no extra charge. The location was in a quiet area next to a park and the river.

The staff (specially Mr Osugi) were very courteous and even went out of their way to book a taxi for me to retrieve a lost item at Kyoto at 10:30 PM.Big shout out to Osugi, thanks for all the help !The housekeeping was good. We stayed on level 6, the topmost floor.Arigato

So clean, big bathrooms, comfortable beds

Breakfast disappointing and hard to accessLack of English with many of the staff but all were willing to try to help

Nice hotel, kind of odd neighborhood. But at times there were several people at the reception and none of them English at all. Didn’t expect this. We asked for arranging a taxi to pick us up and drop us off at the airport limousine bus place (15 minutes drive) because we would head back home and they made a big deal out of it, while we had no issues with getting a taxi in Kyoto and Tokyo. It looked like they just didn’t want to put any effort in calling taxi companies. They told us to just take the subway (yeah, with 2 big suitcases…). Only after complaining and asking over and over they finally arranged a taxi.

The location seems unattractive on walk from station, but is GREAT being so close to the river, especially at blossom time. We had a good river view from room. The castle is a nice 2km riverside walk. The room was very spacious for Japan. Some useful facilities, including Espresso coffee m/c downstairs.Friendly staff.

Very limited English spoken or displayed in this area (e.g. restaurants).

    9ThomasPosted on: 4-6-2025

The room was really spacious and clean. We had a nice view from our window to see the sunset. The staff is really nice and helpful. Good coffee for free. The bed is really comfy too

The next train station is 10min walk away and there are not much Restaurants around

Extremely clean, very kind support, calm surroundings

It's good that we can take the breakfast in the room. The toilet area is fantastic. Room is wider than standard 3-4 starts hotel in Japan. The whole hotel still looks new.

I was told by the staff that there is no available parking at the hotel. I paid for my parking fee. The good news is, there's coin parking in front of the hotel.

Most luxurious room of our entire trip, despite being budget friendly and one of the cheaper places we stayed at. A very nice surprise! Super friendly staff as well. Although they didnt speak much english, they did their utmost to help us. all necessary info was available on paper in english

A bit of a walk to the castle and main sites, but we didnt mind

The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The free coffee and water / ice downstairs was great and we enjoyed using the free massage chairs. Extra pillows are available on request and housekeeping left the room very clean and fresh every day.

I was expecting free use of the sauna (this is not free) and the breakfast is served pre plated up with a variety of different and sometimes unusual elements. My husband has a food allergy which meant he couldn’t eat most of the breakfast which was a shame. Buffet option would have been a lot better for us.

The room and bathroom was spacious. We had a shower and a tub, water pressure was great. Check in was fast and efficient. 7 mins walk to nearest station which contains an Osaka Loop Line and a direct line to the Kansai Airport making it easier to travel.

Could hear so much noises from other guests and from outside. It was to the point where I wanted to ask for a different room, but I was only there for a night. Elevators are not secured with key card.

This hotel is beautiful, the communal areas are lovely and the rooms were spacious with a really nice big Japanese/onesen style bathroom. Place was very clean and the staff were very helpful. Location was ok, it felt a little bit off the beaten track, but wasn’t too far from the station I’d say about 8mins walk. It’s on the Osaka loop line and just 2 stops from Osaka station. Also a 25min journey to universal studios. There’s restaurants, convenience stores and a nice park close by so still has everything you need. The best part about this place was the massage beds! Such a nice treat and completely free to use. After a lot of travelling this was perfect!

The breakfast wasn’t great. There was no choice at all and due to a food allergy i really couldn’t eat much of it. This was quite disappointing and we only eat there one day and found breakfast else where for the rest of the stay It would be very easy to offer a choice of maybe 2 or 3 options or maybe offer a bit of a buffet service to add some variety. The location may not be for some if you want to be in a lively area. Not a big problem for us.

I’ve never complained about a property before, But this was the most expensive hotel I’ve stayed in Japan and the service was average the receptionist didn’t speak a word of English and couldn’t help me out with anything she also wouldn’t let me purchase breakfast I was extremely sick and just wanted to get a simple breakfast and there was no willing to help me out the room also came with no towel and I checked in at about 10pm so it was extremely frustrating to have such a top end hotel not accomodate the basic needs and essentials of checking in
