Hotel Links Namba

I booked this hotel as an emergency backup after discovering late in the evening that I was given a proverbial "lemon" at a closeby pseudo hotel.Despite the late hour, the staff was kind and helpful.

The previous tenant of the room had left an automated wake-up program on the smart TV so I was woken up at 6.00am by the TV running local News at high volume. I reported the issue to the lobby staff the next morning and they proceed to remove the program, but it still sucked being woken so early since I was tired.

The air conditioner is noisy and cannot be adjusted to the desired temperature.

Good location, bathroom was clean and had provided amenities, comfortable and spacious bed with AC. No real complaints.

The shower head was slightly broken and leaked water out of the sides and the overall water pressure was too weak. The floor could be a little bit more cleaner but was expected to not be spotless for what I paid and a standard hotel like this. The air vent / conditioning had lots of dust accumulated which I feel like could've been easily cleaned for guests. I can understand maybe others complaining about the lack of space in the bathroom / the room in general but I'm small and didn't have much luggage so was not an issue for me, but I guess it's something to be aware of.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Love the ice machine. Room was exactly how described. Dryer was very quick and efficient. Location wasn’t far from the major shopping strip but far enough that you’re away from hustle and bustle. Lots of convenience stores nearby and train station isn’t too far. Would recommend!

Breakfast was not great, probably would recommend going to a convenience store or something instead. Breakfast tasted like it had been sitting out and the next morning at 6:30 saw it already out (breakfast started at 7) but a good option if you just want to try a few local things.

The location is good, about 10 min to Namba station that provides you connection to all directions.In the room there are many essential goods, everything for hair and body care.The staff is super helpful!

A decent hotel in a corner of Namba, quiet and convenient

The central heating was extremely hot during winter and my room was 29 degrees Celsius at times, I had to open the window to reduce the temperature. There was also difficulty in getting your room cleaned, the sign to clean your room is a small magnet hidden behind the door you needed to place at the front to notify them to clean.

It is a bit far from the subway. Yet if you take Exit 31 from the subway station, you don't have to walk through most of the street. The staff is polite and helpful. The room is spacious when compared with other major city's hotel rooms and the room price is reasonable.

Breakfast is a bit modest. It is better to have more varieties. However the food tastes good.

Great location with several different stations close by, whereas the biggest one would be the Namba JR one. Also conveniently located to explore Dotonbori on foot with being approx. 15min away. Great selection of bath Facilities, both in the room itself or for pick-up based on personal preference in the lobby. We also appreciated the free drink selection in the afternoon.

Though the window was shut in my room it didn't isolate well.

Provisions in the bathroom was more than adequate and price was ok.

Because there wasn’t anymore non smoking we had to book the smoking room. It smell horrendous, I had asthma attack From this. The breakfast so simple, not worth it. The washing and drier machines were small so laundry took for ever.

Pleasant

We booked the hotel based on a high rating. The rooms are super tiny and bed is stuck against the wall. For a couple this was a nightmare. Bathroom very very small but compact.Location was out of the way but easy walk to most places.

It has everything I need for a solo traveller. The room was also super comfortable and everything worked (and had the only fridge, of the 9 hotels I stayed in on this trip, that didn't hum loudly in the middle of the night). Bathroom has many different bottles of cleaners for hair, face and body. Breakfast was repetitive but for this price, it sufficed. The hotel also has free drinks service between 3pm and 12am which was a blessing when needing to work or waiting for laundry.

There was only 1 coin laundry and drier and you typically need 2 drying cycles to properly dry a 4-5kg load.

Decent location, a few minutes walk to Namba and Sakuragawa stations. Room was very quiet. Not sure if it was because the adjacent rooms were unoccupied or if the soundproofing was just that good, but I did not hear a peep from anyone else during my stay. Clean room as well. Hot coffee and tea are offered in the lobby 24/7.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The hotel is located in a 15 minutes walk distance from the subway Namba station.

While booking, I chose a room called "single use". There was no spcecification whether the room was for smoking or non smoking guests, nor was there any other option for a single room. Upon arrival I was told I had booked a smoking room, that had a smell of smoke very uncomfortable to a non smoker. The immediate surrounding of the hotel was not very nice - there were some run down buildings and costruction/demolishment work in progress

The city was crowdy and the Hotels were fully booked. We understand the price paid was a bit higher than other days but not the price we paid for the service we recieved

Wonderful quiet location very close to 2 metro lines (Namba JR and Sakuragawa line). The staff are friendly and very helpful. They have a free bicycle rental for day use and free umbrella rental for day use (make sure to bring them back!). They also have free drink service for the majority of the day with coffee, tea, water, and soft drinks. Amenities are lovely with extras in case you forgot things like razors, etc. The rooms are what I expected for a Japanese hotel room - small but every space is utilized efficiently, with a nice deep tub in bathroom. The room and common areas are clean. Bonus: Dotonbori and Namba Walk are just a short walk away, easily walkable with hilly areas or stairs, thus accessible for most people.They also offered a makeup touch-up station in the lobby for people who forgot their makeup, etc. I thought it was a nice, thoughtful touch to their service.Highly recommend staying at Hotel Links Namba! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

If you have big luggage, it will be difficult to store/unpack and organize in some of the rooms due to space. This isn't a reflection on Hotel Links, just a general find in Japanese hotel rooms. Pack lightly!
