Nipponbashi Luxe Hotel

Moderately close to the dotonbori area.

No laundry. No lounge with tables. No lounge coffee. Room had minor stains on the wall and floor. Room service was still cleaning after 7pm and I could hear them cleaning through the walls.

So close to Dotonburi and across is a 24 hour laundromat which is super convenient! Great location and clean rooms.

We’ve been to Japan several times and compared to most hotels, the rooms are spacious. We had 3 large luggages and 3 small carry ons, and we still had room to actually have one open on the floor to fix our stuff. Shower head had that misty feature which was nice as well. Toilet was also seperate from the bathroom which was also nice.

Floor in the bathroom was a bit slippery when showering, so be careful. And we wanted our luggages shipped to Tokyo 2 days ahead, but one of the staff did not let us. Another staff did helped us was able to assist us out and shipped our luggage

This is a budget hotel that is located near Dotonbori, Kuromon and Namba. The Shimbashi metro station is nearby, and you can walk almost entirely underground to Namba Station. The queen-size bed was a bonus, and the bathroom, though a bit oddly designed, was comfortable and made the room seem larger than it is. The fridge and AC were super cold, the shower had great pressure and was scorching hot, and the room was dark and quiet. I would stay there again.

The room was small, even by Japan standards. The towels were pretty poor. There are few amenities in the hotel (hence the price). But the positives certainly outweigh the negatives here.

Central location

Housekeeping request is really cumbersome. Bedsheets won't be replaced, only at additional costs. Worst part was probably all the business men using the hotel for 'deliheru' services.

Clean room, big size bathroom and friendly staff

Clean and spacious room with wooden floor.

Some nights other guests were quite noisy, and we were woken by raven crowing in the early morning. The towels seemed quite thin and old.

Close to transport. Not too expensive. Clean. Good toiletries.

Small rooms even by Japanese standards. The double was two single beds pushed together. Only one pillow per person. No real hanging space, just a rail with coat hangers over the bed. Noisy aircon. No breakfast. Not much choice for breakfast in the vicinity.

Location was great. Close walk to dontonbori and off the main busy areas. Lots of toiletries and extras provided for your comfort. Bathroom was very big and spacious - the bath was adult sized and well appreciated after all the long walks to come back and have a soak. They hold / store your luggage pre and post check in/out which was really great. Laundry mat across the road, convenience store around the corner.

The pillows were very thin and only 1 per person provided. Very dark inside the room as there is no natural light really coming in from the buildings being close to one another.

The Location was good. The staff was nice and helpful. The room is smaller than expected but it was clean and worth the price. I would recommend for short stays.

The walls were quite thin so you could hear people in the hallway but it was okay.

Price and location

Cleanliness and smell of the corridors. You can smell the curry spices (more like Indian curry than Japanese) in the hallway, from morning till evening.

Very nice, overall it is a pleasure staying at the Luxe. Loved that they have separate bathroom and toilet and wash area, spacious too!

Good location close to Dotonbori (5 minutes walk)

During our stay, they never cleaned the room/provided new towels/changed bedsheets.

"Standard" room really small, barely can open one suitcase (I recommend to book the "superior" room).No cupboard (understandable as this hotel is designed for "short stays").Polite yet not very friendly staff.No laundry service (but there is a laundrette across the street).

Bathtub was the largest I saw in Japan. At 1.82m tall, it was very comfortable.Very close to the heart of Nipponbashi.

Good location near Dotonbori, but quiet and peaceful. Comfortable bed and pillow.
