Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

Breakfast had lots of options and very good in quality. Great service with the hotel staffs. The room was spacious and beautiful contemporary decoration. It located by train station which made it easy for going to places and lots very good restaurants .

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel and it is just as good as it was last year when we visited Japan.

It was so close to Shin-Osaka Station and very easy to find the way. Breakfast was excellent as there are so many varieties. Room was large and well designed. Furniture was very comfortable and practical.

The street level entrance, which is not used unless you are using a taxi, is not very welcoming. It can use additional wayfinding signage.

Great location for those who need to travel to another city in Japan. Close to JR. But, hotel should provide more direction (sign) to their hotel from the train station.

Very Clean, spacious, and friendly staffs

The location, room, bathroom, and cleanness were great.

The laundry service was very bad. I paid for dry clean and had to send it back twice cuz it wasn’t cleaned properly. Also, the staff weren’t very nice.

Location location location is the best after long day walking you just want to get down the metro and arrived and staff also very helpful

The location was near the station, very professional, clean and comfortable.

Location was great for traveling to and from other cities as well as into Universal studios. Literally just steps away from the Shin-Osaka station but it was not noisy.

Very convenient location, the closest to ShinOsaka JR station.

While we understand Marriott’s commitment to be eco conscious, save energy and water water ,we wouldn’t like to have used bed linens for three days, which reduces comfort and cleanliness when getting in the bed,the end of tiring day. Should hotel guests be much aware of environmental issues?

Staff really incompetent, asked me to change my booking because I travelled alone instead of being in a couple (booked king room) and they charged me only the first night at check in. Once booking confirmed that the reservation couldn’t be amended, they asked me to settle it without rush. Then the next day they asked me to settle it and I requested to do it at check out as I came back late everyday and they said no problem. The last night when I came back my card didn’t work and I found out that they locked it because I had to settle it. I had an urgency and for this stupid thing I couldn’t access my room. I asked to talk to the manager and they told me he had to call me few minutes later, but this didn’t happen. Never here anymore

The hotel is clean and perfectly located next to the Shin Osaka station. Staff are attentive and happy to help where possible. Only note would be that there is not much security in the elevator, so anyone can access any floor at any time. This could be mitigated by key cards only enabling guests access to their floor.

We chose Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station for it's location. We knew it would be a great standard, being a Marriott hotel, but it was so much better than anticipated. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable we had during our 3 weeks in Japan, and the room size was very comfortable for 3 adults and all our suitcases. We didn't eat at the hotel. The location was excellent, using Shin-Osaka station as our base, we travelled very easily all over Osaka and beyond, and it was great being able to walk very easily back to our hotel after a long day. It was also fabulous to be able to transport our bags easily onto the train to Kansai Airport - brilliant. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. I have seen others complain about the train noises - we didn't find this an issue at all, and quite frankly, don't stay at a hotel literally AT a train station if you don't want to hear them.

The shower stall covered only half of the shower area so there was water spilled on the floor outside the shower area.

Nice breakfast and perfect room service. Very closed to Shin Osaka Station, one of the best choices in city for family with small children

Excellent English breakfasts. Impressed when staff retrieved an item left in room and arranged for it to be mailed to me in UK.

Club sandwich from restaurant on arrival: served on a skewer! Difficult to eat because filling falling out! Not very tasty and rather expensive.

Convenient location, easy access to restaurants and public transportation.

Hotel lift: lack security , bathroom: bathtub with half door, bathtub floor is slippery.
