The price was decent and the check in process was easy.

The floor I was staying on smelled horrible. Maybe the smoking floor was right below or something, but it made my stay very unpleasant. Also the mattress was super uncomfortable.

Breakfast is included, it’s good and filling. Everything is very clean.

GREAT HOTEL!Nestled in a quiet area, away from the city's hustle and bustle, this hotel is an ideal base for a vacation in Osaka and nearby cities. The subway stations are within a 5-15 minute walk (purple, green, and red lines). For the shortest walk, take the purple line and get off at T22 Temmabashi. It’s about a 20-minute walk from Osaka Castle, and in the hotel’s surroundings, you’ll find plenty of restaurants of various types and convenience stores (konbini). There’s a designated smoking area just a short walk from the hotel. As for the hotel itself and its services: - The staff is incredibly kind and highly responsive. - Excellent breakfast buffet (mostly savory), with a variety of options that change daily. - Great Wi-Fi. - Washing machines and dryers are available, but no laundry service. - The room we stayed in wasn’t huge, but it was comfortable and functional. If I ever return to Osaka, I’d gladly stay here again!

Checking in was a problem as I had to check in one room at a time using machine. Need to improve. Booking. Com stated address of your hotel has an error. It states Ote-dori1-4-15. The 1 is connected to the word dori and I could not use it well for Google map, and could not use it when booking hotel to airport transfer.

Hotel was great just further from city centre.

Metro station within 2-3 minute walk and Osaka castle within 10 minutes. Quiet area with many nearby options for food

The humidifier in the room was busted. That's about it.

It was conveniently located for my work trip. There's a nice little Mexican restaurant 3 minutes walk away (called La Fonda).The hotel staff was friendly, and did their jobs well.

I have stayed at the Toyoko Inn in Kanayama, Nagoya, which was much better. This room at the Otemae, Osaka location was much older than in Kanayama, and there weren't as many outlets for charging, plus the USB port next to the bed was non-functional. Breakfast was a bit strange. 1st mornings, dry bread (no butter/jam available) tamagoyaki which was OK, no meat of any kind, mayonnaise pasta, and soup. The second day there were little sausages, but no eggs, plus the other things like day one. The third day was scrambled eggs, but no meat, and some strange mini okonimiyaki type stuff. Weird combinations as if decided by random. The Kanayama location is much better, newer, more outlets, and a much bigger variety of food choices at breakfast.

Amenities: There aren't any instant coffees, nor are there any spoons to mix the drinks. Room: No safe box. There's only one cup for warm and cold water. The mirror in the toilet fogs during bath.Location: It's quite a walk to the station. At night there are close convenience stores but not much restaurants to eat at.Service: Coffee service ends at 10am. (I'd at least appreciate an instant coffee option to bring up to my room)

The value is great. Everything is clean and has great staff. The location isn't far from the metro stations. The breakfast was decent, better than expected. Seems they have improved based on previous reviews.

The beds were unexpectedly firm. We weren't used to that.

It is within walking distance of a metro station and the castle. Lots of places to eat nearby. Friendly and welcoming staff 24/7

Having stayed at other toyoko inn hotels the breakfast was not as good with a limited choice of foods.

I didn’t use breakfast, because it was not halal, the price was really good, but the room was not sound proof so there was a lot of noise.

The hotel was very clean, well kept. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was quite varied and had tasty things.

They don't clean rooms every day.

We were visiting from India. In tokyo our hotel had Western breakfast options also. I felt the breakfast options were very limited to japanese food so we had to skip the breakfast. You should add some western breakfast options (eggs, bread, roasted potato, cornflakes etc) also.

the room was supposed to be cleaned in 16th May but there was some confusion and it wasnt cleaned.

Free breakfast! It's close enough to the station but if you're not used to walking a lot, it can be tiring. And lugging around your baggage from the station to your hotel is so tiring.

No head to toe mirror. No safe in my room. Windows are hard to open... It was a bit of a walk to the station. it's fine when you're not bringing lots of luggage but it can be tiring when u just wanna get to the hotel after a long day

fron of hotel car parking so expensive i was pay for 2 hours2400 something, because that parking dont have hours option,if park for 24 hours maybe its ok,but there have a Lawson on the corner just turn left and park your car for 24 hours only in 600 hundred yen

Very good breakfasts. Fresh every day and always something different. In the room clean, friendly staff. Super!

Late check-in time, but you can leave your luggage early and go to Osaka Castle
