Pros +
- Very good staff.Awesome location with respect to train and metro proximity. Also it is beside Tennoji Zoo and very near to the Park. Very, very nice location.Laundry and everything we needed.
- Very polite and nice staff.Location is really good. Near to JR and Metro Stations and with many convenience stores nearby. It’s next to Tennoji Zoo. Bath and bed sizes are good and WiFi works. Laundry is convenient and well organized.
- The room and the location is good but I was so dissapointed with the breakfast, there is not much to choose and the dinning area location is bad.
Cons -
- Simple coffee break but it is nice. Kitchen staff was kind and lovely and (for me) it’s important, mainly, in people who take care of my meals. ??Soups and oniguiri.
- ¥200 per day announced in checkin. Breakfast has only oniguiris and a sort of soup, we missed some protein and salad or fruits.Even with all these reviews, we liked it so much we extended our stay by two more days.
- There was a stay tax of 200¥ per night that I paid when I arrived that I wasn't informed (or at least didn't take notice) when I booked the room. There is only one elevator for someone to go up and down so if you are in a hurry you will either have to wait a bit or take the stairs. The latter can't be done when you need to move your luggage as the stairs are on the outer side of the building and quite narrow. My luggage was on the bigger side, so I couldn't put it under the bed and it filled the gap between the bed and the bathroom. This might be a problem if there are two people in the same room. The bathroom is on the smaller side as well and the stand is behind the toilet seat, so if you bring many toiletries, make sure you always close the toilet lid. The breakfast didn't have many options, there were a few types of onigiri, two types of soup and some bakery goods as well as coffee, tea (you make these two yourself I think, I don't drink coffee) and two types of juice. For me this was enough, but do not expect a big buffet.

The hotel is located near the Tsutenkaku Tower and there are two stations nearby (Shin-Imamiya Station and Dobutsuen-mae Station) to go easily anywhere you want. The staff is very helpful. They held my luggage until it was my check-in time and helped me with the procedure both for the self check-in and self check-out. At the reception there is a vending machine with some drinks and a few amenities someone may need. The room was a bit small, but quite comfortable for me as a single person. It could be locked from inside in 3 ways so I felt really safe and the little fridge allowed me to have food and snacks taken from outside. Everyday at 10:00-15:00 someone came to change my towels and collect my trash, so it was always clean, while on the 3rd day of my stay there was a whole cleanup of the room. If I didn't want them to come in, there was a magnetic sticker on the door that said so.

Toyoko Inn Osaka Tsutenkaku Mae is a great value-for-money Japanese business hotel. It may not have a lot of facilities (gym, pool, all-day dining, etc) but it is a very good hotel in a very good location. Within a short walking distance, you have access to plenty of train and subway lines, good food, and things to do. The hotel is clean, convenience, comfortable and cost-effective
Check-out time is at 10am, which is a bit early. I wish it could be at 11am or even 12pm. The pillow is a bit too soft for my liking (but that's just personal preference). A bit more variety for breakfast would be nice.
The location was very central with a lot to do and see close by. The room was a little tight, but had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with mostly Japanese food. There was alo on-site laundry facilities (coin-operated).All-round a great stay.
Close to several options for transport.Fun area to be in. Quiet in the mornings for going places and busy at night due to lots of little restaurants. Hotel has quiet entrance and always a lovely staff greeting on entry and leaving..On arrival in Natita we stayed at Toyoko, moved onto Osaka and now Nara. All hotels have been great.
it was so nice, tidy and very comfortable.staff are kind and hospitable.
Good location and free skin care for the ladies, also breakfast included was good and you could also get takeaway. Onsite washer and dryer
Only 1 lift so you had to wait if it was busy, we took the stairs a couple times so no big deal.
Great location for food and metro station.
A distance away from Dotonburi if you decide to walk but metro station will bring you there
comfort, clean and staff very helpful
Good location.
Is not accessible by taxi. The breakfast was free, however, it was bad - just onigiri (riceballs); some pastries (without jams) and soup. It is a poor Japanese style breakfast.
The room was comfortable and the location was great with easy access to transport, food and groceries. The room had a good layout and was well equipped. A daily towel change and the option for daily house cleaning was also provided if required. Great staff - attentive and hardworking. Breakfast was simple but tasty.,
The breakfast area was too small, but luckily, the rice rolls (onigiri) were individually wrapped and could be easily taken to the room. Coffee was only available in the morning for a couple of hours in the lobby area. Wasn't a big issue until that much needed coffee fix to catch our early flight.
Good location with access to trains and busses. A good place to stay for a night or two.
I would not consider the bed comfortable. Now if you like a firm bed then you are in luck.
Good location from the plethora of eating choices and distance to the subway if you wish to make it to the city centre have to walk for 10 min which is fine. Very clean and the best public bathroom located in the lobby, I have ever seen. Free printing services with public use computers. Free breakfast.
The location between the local restaurants and nose wise is not quiet if you wish to open the window. The free breakfast served as baufett but with no warmer facility and goes cold fast. No toiletries in the bathroom, you have to get them from the lobby. Also venting machine and washer and dryer In the lobby only. The worst thing is, you have to provide your own sponge, there's only one elevator and the hardest mattress you can find in the whole of Osaka. I asked to change my room but staff assured me there's the only one type of mattress they have. Super hard.
Location right in the middle of tourist area. Less than 5 minutes walk to metro station. With loads of restaurants near the hotel. Convenient stores round corner. Even Mcdonald just behind the hotel! But we not gone once. Daiso and Don quixote all near the metro station.
The hotel noise outside corridor was not concealed enough. Can hear everyone going in and out and talking outside. Bed was a bit hard too. Lift was very busy during breakfast hour between 8-8.30am as breakfast closed at 9am. Also no bin in the bathroom not very convenient.
Helpful staffShopping street is just downstairs
It’s very noisy and loud in the evenings and I heard it from the 6th floor. Breakfast is nor very good
The complimentary breakfast was always delicious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I also loved the location of the hotel, almost everything I wanted to do or see was within walking distance.
Staff were great, they provided all the basic stuff. Food was okay. Room was very clean. Location was ok, it was right in the middle of shinsekai
They only provide room service every 3 days
Japanese style breakfast with steady choice and healthy options.Excellent location in Ebisu and Shinsekai; good for evening dining meetings.
Receipt was hand-written, which is hard to pass by the accountants.
