Pros +
- Ryokans are the best way to experience Japan, and this one was superb. Comfortable rooms, spacious and clean Onsen, delicious food and snacks which is included in your stay. The hotel staff are fantastic, helpful and spoke great English. From the moment you step in its very zen and peaceful - the whole hotel feels like a spa retreat. Lawson rights around the corner and metro only a few minutes walk.
- The location was wonderful. The first time I felt like I was in old Japan. Wonderful street restaurants and very lively but not noisy. It is just off the main street so quiet but a few steps for all the activity. We loved the onsen! Modern hotel right next to old Japan. I will go back! We loved this hotel! The staff were helpful, kind and patient! We felt like we had person service.
- The onsen was a beautiful experience with several different pools to try, including two outdoor tubs, a sauna room, and a unique waterfall shower head. The attire given at checkout was extremely comfortable (if you are larger than L size, they do have LL size!) and it felt great lounging in the reading area with the complementary ice cream. The ramen included with the stay is delicious. I really appreciated the scale in the lobby so I could make sure my luggage wasn't overweight before departure.
Cons -
- Nothing!
- After staying in other hotels that had smart TVs with access to all kinds of apps, this one was a let-down. Thankfully, we weren't inside much anyway. The massage chairs were always occupied, which makes sense, but it was a shame we didn't get to use them.
- The staff was a bit impersonal. Check in requires interacting with an touch screen instead of a person.

We liked the traditional Japanese character combined with modern amenities and aesthetic. The onsen stood out for having hot and cold. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. We also appreciated the complimentary ramen, ice cream, ice and fountain drinks.

We loved the onsen! We used it every day. The room was comfortable and the staff were lovely!
The traditional tatami floors really made our Japan trip feel all the more authentic. The staff were also all so kind and welcoming and always patient with us despite the language barrier. Their breakfast was also exquisite and offered so many delicious options!
Nothing at all to dislike
Immaculate small hotel with a wonderful Onsen and breakfast buffet. Tatami floors throughout the hotel keeps it pristine. It has a nice aesthetic overall. My only quibble is that the room was quite small. To be expected though.
This was our first trip to Japan and we truly enjoyed the hotel. The staff were very kind and accosting, the hotel offers lovely complimentary treats such as an ice cream bar or miso soup in the evening. The hot spring experience is amazing. Clean and fully appointed. I truly felt special. The location was near some great food, Osaka city hall and metro tracks that made travel easy. I would go out of my way to stay here again! It was fabulous’
Lovely onsen hotel in the middle of Osaka city, only a few stops from major train stations. The rooms were cute, comfortable, and relaxing, the onsen was a great bonus, and the breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
LOCATION
STAFF PROVIDED INCONSISTENT ANSWERS, SOME OF THEM DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH. HAVE TO REMOVE SHOES AT FRONT DOOR.
I really appreciated the friendly and attentive front desk staff who kindly helped me take care of my bike in the lobby — it made check-in feel effortless. The onsen was easy to use and well-equipped with several washers and dryers, though it’s worth noting they only take coins. The free evening ice cream and noodles were a delightful touch, and the location was incredibly convenient with two subway stations just a short walk away.
While everything was clean and Onsen is really good, I found the rules absurd! The breakfast was fair at best—all the eggs were slower cold and stiff, the fish too fishy, and overall not great. Metro is close by but there’s nothing in the area and staff is not really helpful in that department.
they had an onsen open until late and free ramen!!!
room could have been slightly bigger
Good combination of traditional Japanese lodging and modern hotel amenities. The onsen was very relaxing, the breakfast is DELICIOUS and has good options. The double room is larger than average for a Japanese hotel.
Although our room was beautiful overall, there were small imperfections, like torn wallpaper or dusty decorations on the wall. While this may be very minor complaints, I mention them because I enjoyed this hotel SO MUCH I would like them to be as close to perfect as possible. The only other thing that could improve would be the ability to log into streaming services in the room TV.
Value for money - onsen - friendly - free yokult - laundry and dryer very practical - nice breakfast and really good coffee.
The room is not big but it’s comfortable with Japanese style furniture and is comfortable. the natural hot spring on top floor is really a nice add on for our stay. Hotel location is good, easy access to Osaka prime area and to Kyoto
Breakfast is good however not something that you want to pay and everyday.
Our daughter who living in Osaka wasn't able to visit us in our room. The furo was was too small and the was not same as Kyoto.
A very comfortable and cozy room with everything you need and a bit of classic charm. The staff were extremely helpful and took care of shipping our bags to the next hotel.
Standard Japanese-like decoration with tatami mats and minimalistic design. Free ramen service at night and free ice cream and welcome drinks.
My room was spacious compared to other similar places I have been in Japan but the A/C was not functioning correctly. The Onsen area is very small. The hotel is advertised as a hot springs hotel, but the Onsen area is too small to accommodate enough people. I went there during summer where you usually do not spend a lot of time in the hot bath. The congestion was not bad. I am wondering if however what’s the situation in the winter when bathing is more popular and lengthy. Finally, the room was overpriced for what it offered. On the other hand if was clean and the breakfast was just OK.
The soaking tubs were amazing. Great location with lots of restaurants and walking to many tourist spots. Cute little room, in a big hotel with a traditional Japanese feel. We adored it!
Soaking tubs and that it felt traditional.
