Backpackers Hotel Toyo

Economical, good location. Nice amenities given the price. Private room, and safe area. I liked the rooftop, and the other amenities such as the game room and laundry room.

Perhaps i would recommend to replace the old couch on the roof and add a few more chairs for sitting in.

The hotel is located just around the corner from a metro line and has a charming interior full of beautiful wall art. The rooms are tiny and spartan, but that's exactly the thing I was looking for while doing a quick overnight backpacking trip.

Private rooms and clean showers with amenities. Right next to multiple stations, shinsekai, the zoo, and not too far of a walk to nipponbashi.

There’s no elevator but staff will help you carry luggage.

Hotel sometimes provides activities on Friday’s. Can be a lot of fun!

Rooms are kinda small but for the price can’t complain.

The experience was how I expected it to be. I only stayed for 2 days. But the experience was good for a backpackers lodge. The room was small but still spacious for yourself and your luggage. Futon bed was provided, but was still comfortable so no complaints there. Location was also convenient as it was located near the train station, main road and also alleyway full of restaurants and shops. Place looks old, but clean. The shared bathrooms definitely exceeded my expectations as they were always clean and spacious for big people as well. Staff were wonderful and helpful.

Can be a bit noisy outside if you are looking for peace and quiet. They only accept cash, not contactless payments if you are needing to rent towel, laundy etc.

One of the best hostels you will ever stay at if you are a solo traveler or like socializing, a lot of friends to make in the common room, you get a small room for yourself for a great price, also front desk were so helpful

All (bedroom, toilets, shower rooms, common room) are good, cean and well decorated.

The provided slippers for using inside the hostel are tooooo big fo me and no smaller size available. Lady's shower rooms open only 7:30-24:00.

Good communal areas, super friendly staff and a very quiet neighbourhood.

This hostel is the best deal in Osaka! Three things made my stay perfect: the SUPER friendly staff, a comfortable individual room, and a convenient location. The hostel is also fully equipped with kitchen facilities, an iron you can rent, and a paid laundromat. I can't recommend it highly enough to all travelers!

Everything was perfect

The staff were very nice, the bathrooms, showers and bedrooms were really clean, a lot of facilities, good price, good vibes overall.

I had a problem finding good pricing hotels and then I found this place, so cheap but it is decent for its value to be honest…More or less Also close to the station

Well you get what you paid for, walls are basically paper, theres no chair in your own room…Theres also no air conditioner but to be fair it is hot oe humid in the room so surprisingly it wasnt a problem

exceptionally cheap solo room , more than guesthouse!!! The cheaper solo room doesn’t have an ac but a ventilator. It’s enough to get through osaka august night. Really good looking hotel with painted wall. Next to the shinsekai and the midosuji line which is amazing

Very convenient location connecting airport and Expo 2025. Only 3-4min to 2 stations. Many convenience stores nearby

Kitchen and refrigerator are not clean. Coin laundry close too early at 10PM.

Kitchen is unclean Laundry closed too early, better add door to extend closing time. Travelers normally use daytime as much as much for trip, come back late.

The room had everything necessary, with convenient room for luggage and clothes, and the futon was very comfortable. The shared bathroom and shower were clean, and the shower rooms were spacious and had a door for additional privacy when showering. The location is conveniently close to Shinsekai and the bus/train stations.

The room felt a bit old, some maintenance may be needed.
