R Hotel Honmachi

It was a last minute booking so we went there without checking anything. You can get free amenities like brush, toothbrush. The room was really cosy.

I loved that the front desk staff was always so polite and helpful. Several of them went out of their way to help me! My room was very comfortable and the hotel even gave me free pajamas! Last, the hot water turned on very quickly whenever I took a shower so that was such a nice thing to look forward to every time I bathed!

I wish I had gotten a room with only one bed in it, but everything else was wonderful!

i liked the staff and location

there are no windows! I mean, there was one window with a tv attached in front of it so it barely lets light in. On top of that the window itself is opaque so you can't actually see outside. I asked to change rooms and the very kind desk lady brought me to a different room to show me that all rooms had the same window situation. Terrible design.

Convenient location not too far from closest station, three konbinis within a couple minutes walk. Staff was very kind, accomodating, and spoke good English. It was very comfortable and modern and easy to figure out how to access and use all services available.

It was a bit of a walk from any station, which was hard to deal with after non-stop walking for three days straight. Plus, there were a couple of hairs in my shower, but that's a very quick and easy fix.

The hotel provide a good facilities, the room is nice and include a mini fridge.Staff is good and responsive and the room is very clean.

The bathroom is quiet small.

Helpful staff - we reached out in advance to ask about their luggage moving facilities as we were wanting to organise that for a few cities. They can accept but not ship but were equally helpful in finding appropriate facilities. Small but functional rooms.

Its a very nice little hotel 500 meters away from the heart of osaka , everything was clean and neat! Staff was very friendly, you really cant beat this price quality !

I like the location. Not too far from the subway, 7-11, and laundry. Staff were helpful and friendly.It's about a 15-20 min walk to Dotonburi/Shinsaibashi but I don't mind it.

Overall, the room was a bit small. Not a lot of space to maneuver. It wasn't much of an issue as I was travelling by myself but it could be an issue if you're not a solo traveller. Also, the bathroom had a bit of a smell even after it was cleaned through room service.

The room was super tiny and the bed as well. I do not recommend it if you are not used to 120cm beds.

Clean and tidy. Not far from convenience store. Surrounded by many gorgeous restaurants. Find one to have late dinner was not difficult.

A bit far from Metro station

The location is good, near several metro stops and different convenience stores. The hotel lobby and the hallways are well decorated, and the staff was very nice and helpful.

The room was too small, which is kind of normal for Japan, but the bed especially was too small. My partner got tendinitis on a shoulder because we couldn't fit properly in the bed (2 average sized men). I don't know if this was due to the Expo happening, but we feel we didn't get an amazing value for our money. It looked better than an APA chain hotel, but the end experience was worse as the room was even smaller. Pay attention to the square footage of the room before booking, as we couldn't even enter the room at the same time.

I stayed at the hotel for one night as I was preparing for my departure trip. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. Besides, the location is great as it’s located in Namba. The metro stations are few minutes away as well, so it’s a good choice combining location with affordable price.

The rooms are small as well as the bathrooms.

Quietness, location (easy to get from the airport, walking distance to main street at Shinsaibashisuji), cleaniess and facility.I accidentally found this accomemdation on the day I arrived in Japan and wished to stay longer. Osaka is so welcome by the tourists and I went during world Expo. After being out a long day, I really cherished the quietness in the neighborhood and felt relaxed.

I arrived early in the morning and was able to leave my luggage without any problem. The staff were helpful when I asked about early check-in they said it's not possible but they kindly informed me as soon as the room was ready around 2 p.m. Everyone I spoke with was polite and responsive to my questions. I was able to borrow an umbrella the day its was raining.

The hotel is not very close to major tourist attractions, so it may not be the best location if you plan to explore Osaka’s main sightseeing spots. Otherwise, it’s a comfortable and well-managed place for the price.

Not a deal breaker for most people, but myself and my travel buddy are both tall men. The bathroom was a tight squeeze, but manageable. Rooms are very close quarters as well. But like I said not a deal breaker for most people I would assume.
