Near the train station and mega don quijote.

It’s in a not so clean neighborhood

My friends and I chose this hotel for our visit to Universal Studios Japan. It was a good location, an easy walk to a train station. Only 30 minutes from the park, in an area close to Osaka nightlife. The room was clean, and suited 4 guests very well. Check in was easy and simple. The staff spoke customer service English well, although my group can speak some Japanese this was appreciated.

The neighbourhood was described to me as 'unsafe' and I can understand why. My group of young female travellers did see that the streets were dirty and the area seemed rougher. However we never felt unsafe or in any danger. Many cities have central areas that are very 'lived in' and the value for money was high, so we did not see this as a problem. However less confident travellers may want a warning about the street conditions in the neighbourhood.

Room was very clean and tidy. Spacious enough for 4 adults. Ample plug points in the room. There is also a laundry area on the ground floor.

The location is fine during the daytime, but when we came back to the place after dinner, there were a few drunks on the street leading up to the hotel. While they did not disturb us, it is advisable to not go out alone after dark.

Good place to stay overall. Peaceful area. Bed was comfortable. The washing area was useful. Nice toilet.

Takes about 20-30 minutes walk to the nearest train station. Since the area is near the train tracks, the trains pass every now and then near the location, and that might be disturbing to some guests who are sensitive with noise. Pillows need improvement, though, very light and need at least 2 per person.

Location was great. It’s near train station can walk around 2 or 3 mins.

It’s not about the property but the around hotel quite bad smell by smoking.

The room is clean, the staff is friendly, and most importantly, the location is near 3 train stations, very convenient for us to choose which station to go flexibly.

Room was good size/ layout for our group of four. Bunk beds were very comfortable. Had our own shower and toilet which was good. Easily accessible by train and lots of convince stores near by which was good as we arrived late and needed food quickly. Late checkin was easy as well.

Wouldn’t want the 4 bed room if I was sharing with strangers as could get cramped especially with the bathroom, but definitely good for if you were with friends.

Very bad experience! We cannot go inside our room as the battery for the electronic door lock got busted. They should have checked it prior to assigning the room to a guest. There’s no staff to support guests needs from 6pm onwards. No one’s answering the instagram account they’ve posted at the reception and the number stated in the card. One staff from other Doyanen hotel arrived. He was very helpful but can’t do much since he is not assigned to this hotel. Called the manager but not of help as well. Rated zero customer service for the manager. She said there’s a back up manual key but there’s no proper tagging, hence, they staff cannot find it. It took him almost an hour to find the key. Requested for a room to rest but unfortunately the hotel is fully booked. Very bad service!! Not recommended. Do not stay here. Also, carpet inside the room is stinky and ionizer is not working. Like to commend though the staff who helped us, Himal Randika (Himaru) for assisting us. He ran from one hotel to the other just to get help. He recommended a good restaurant for dinner also.

Clean and decent location although the surrounding area was kind of sketchy but still nothing serious and felt safe throughout.

Room was slightly dusty and had a certain kind of smell when first entered. Pillows were too soft and uncomfortable personally and would recommend to bring an extra pillow or something.

The room was spacious and clean. Helpful people. Heard about our complaints for cooling and rectified it.

The location, getting up to the morning metro speed ing by, the room temperature cant be controlled, one of the worst location in whole japan “ buraka” wildly known for old age population shoved into the apartments. Unsafe of females.

Right let's get started with this... Homeless people everywhere, not good for anyone travelling alone or families. Smell of urine all around almost makes you sick!AC in the room did not work throughout our stay! It was 24-26 degrees for our 4 night stay. When mentiond to staff they had informed us that during this season the AC stays off. This made no sense at all since it was boiling hot every night, made it very uncomfortable when trying to sleep. Every other hotel we have stayed in had the AC on, so what's this about season??.Room did not get cleaned, when asking them to clear the bins they cleared out only one. The bathroom bin was left full. The hotel is very close to the train tracks, they're so loud that you even hear them in your dreams!In the bathroom, the water pressure for the tap is very low, so filling up a water bottle or washing your face takes a while.Last but not least, misleading information given when asked if the hotel provides luggage transfer. We asked the hotel online through booking.com if they do luggage transfer from hotel to hotel, to which they replied they did. When the time came and we asked the receptionist can we do the transfer... Huge language barrier confused everything and they told us that they cannot do as it is difficult! So please do not ask for transfer you won't get it. It's very disappointing how their communication online vs face to face is different. After experiencing all that I can say with confidence that i DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. Even if it is cheap, anyone who is reading this PLEASE DO NOT BOOK.

Parts of the rroms was unclean. There was a moldy smell when we first entered and a lot of dust built up in the corners and edges of the room.

The rooms are nice and clean and good for friends traveling together. The beds were comfortable.

The location shocked me when we first arrived. The hotel is basically located in a slum area with a lot of homeless people. When getting from the subway we also walked down a street with essentially a wall of trash on one side. While I have definitely been places I felt more unsafe (people were mostly just minding their own business here) was not prepared for the area to be like that and we took care to make sure we were always walking together at least two and two when leaving of going to the hotel. I’d say it was still worth booking here because of the low price and easy connections (and the rooms were really nice), but just be aware that the area is quite seedy. Also our fridge was basically a freezer so I had frozen yogurt for breakfast every day.

The place is nice but around 5 pm you can hear the densh1a.

Beautiful building with really new facilities. The room was amazing for the 4 of us, comfortable and pretty.

The location feels a little bit dodgy, but it’s safe.
