Hotel Kansai

The stuff was very helpful in figuring out the best and least stressful way to get to ITAMI Airport. It was difficult to find the way out from Osaka station. It would be helpful if the hotel provides some directions on how to get out from Osaka Station. Google Maps were not helpful at all. It was our first time in Osaka

Rooms are a bit small, but compared to other places in Japan, the room was big enough for 2 people

Easy to reach. Walkable from the subway/JR Osaka. I walk with a 28-inch luggage and a backpack. Even from the Umeda Sky Building, because I took a bus from Tokyo to Osaka, it takes me around 20 minutes to walk from the Umeda Sky Building to this property. Doable!

They have free welcome drinks and accommodating. Their hotel is easy to find but a little bit far away from train

Cleanliness and noise

The staff were really helpful and polite.

The hotel rooms were very old, smelly, dusty, damp and suffocating. The walls and windows were not noise proof which made sleeping in at night very difficult due to loud noises from the streets and noisy neighbours. We turned on the Aircon due to suffocation but it made matters worse since the room was very dusty and triggered hay fever and allergies. The owner should really need to look at updating the rooms to make the space clean.

Good location but that’s about it. Old facilities, paper thin walls and mattresses, dirty… I’ve stayed in better hostels. Moreover, I’ve never been charged a fee for storing my luggage before.

The hotel (past the main lobby) is quite disgusting and the room was also quite disgusting, and in need of a deep clean or serious update. Don’t be fooled by the hotel lobby photos. The rooms are gross and it’s located on a street surrounded by strip clubs in a pretty nasty area. What was most disappointing about our stay is the fact that it cost much more (in some cases twice the price) of other much more lovely, well located, clean, comfortable hotels in Osaka. If is was dirt cheap than we could have accepted the poor condition of the property, but the high (completely unreasonable) price was difficult to accept.

The room was really really dusty, I found so many hair in the room. Bathroom is old.

Very fast breakfast service and the food was always good, mostly traditional Japanese breakfast and a bit of western.

The elevator was very slow so there was a line a lot of the time. The laundry room has only two washing machines and two dryers so there will be always people waiting (i did laundry at 2am). They charge A LOT to keep your luggage after check-out (2,500) and somebody stole all our umbrellas.

The hotel was clean and I loved the breakfast buffet!

The room was small and dated, but since I only used it for sleeping, it was fine.

Defy the worse hotel I have stay at in Japan. The room felt like a prison cell. Small, no window, dirty, smelled like cigarettes. The staff did not accommodate or go above to help. One staff member was so rushed and inpatient with checking in she grab my friend’s passport out of her hand and dropped it on the floor. The breakfast was ok but overall was disappointed with the stay

This is a perfectly fine accommodation. Do not expect a spacious room, this is a central city Japan busy hotel located right in the middle of everything.

Hotel is a bit run down and a bit worn out.

During my one-night stay, I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but they were quite helpful and had on smiles. There were three check-in devices, which would help speed up the check-in process during crowded times.

The hotel room floors above the lobby were a bit run-down (paint chipping off of doors, etc.). The room door had a bit of a gap, so if you're a light sleeper, earplugs are must.
