SARASA HOTEL Dotonbori

Hotel cleans every 8 days and we were staying for 5 days without room cleaning. Very weird practice.

Great value hotel for a one night stay. The only thing that wasn't provided was the toothbrush and comb but I had mine anyway. On the edge of dotonburi but was quiet at night.

Could have provided complimentary water.

The hotel was very convenient in terms of location as it was only a 7 minute walk to the main streets of Dotonbori! Very accessible to trains and buses as it was 5-10 minute walk away as well. The rooms are on the smaller side as the bed takes up most of the space but we did not mind. The heater/AC was functioning well which was important to us because it was winter time so we would need the AC on warmer days but turn on the heater once the night cools down. Staff were very friendly and accommodating!

Room is a tad bit small

The location is Top. The hotel's room is as described and quiet, with a good variety of food for breakfast.

I've got three things to say.First, th toilet was leaking water. Because of the sound of the water from the toilet I can't sleep at all.Secondly, the amenities were bad i know it's supposed to be budget so they cut cost but like at the very least, put some coffee or tea.Thirdly, the receptionist was great and very polite but apparently I can't bring in guests? they're not sleeping over i was just gonna have my friend shower but they said only the one who booked can go in. I was like flabbergasted. This is the first time I've ever heard smth like this.Also, the cleaning stuffs were so freaking impolite.I've also worked as a hotel janitor as a part time job when i first arrived in japan and studied here. I know how hard it is however don't be staring down at me the customer. What the hell do u want? anyway, it was the worst experience I've had in awhile.

The room & bathroom was covered in mold & mildew with an awful stench. 10 minutes into being in the room we couldn’t take the smell & went down to ask if we could cancel. Staff was rude & said we couldn’t, they were dismissive & didn’t even offer a different room. Every morning as we walked out there was trash, a ton everywhere, towels & dirty cleaning supplies outside in the hallway. This was the worst experience my son & I ever had & we have traveled to many countries. It totally killed our Japan vacation.

Hotel is superb... Clean and safe.Though the hotel is lil away from the station but walkable to Namba and other station.The only thing I don't like about is the cost of breakfast... 1800 yen

Top location near the Dotonbori, nice and helpful staff, the cleaness, the facilities look pretty new, I like the stay very much. Breakfast Budget are very nice too. The price we got was also very affordable considering the location.

Room size are pretty small, I guess this is a common phenomenon is japanese budget hotels.

Good location, room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was outstanding. Great place to stay and staff are all very friendly.

Nothing wrong, will definitely stay here again when I come back to osaka.

The hotel is 8 mins walk to the train station and 5 mins walk to the main district of Dotonbori. The perfect stay that is value for money if you're staying in Osaka for a couple of days.

The room is small but it's normal in Japan. Other than that, there's nothing to complain about.

Good breakfast and good location.

The hotel phone kept beeping at 5am and again at 7am on our last day was annoying. We had to unplug the phone.

I spend two weeks here and was very comfortable. Check in and out both went smoothly. The location is ok, not too far to walk to America Mura and Running Man, National Bunraku Theatre is right down the block.

People leaving their towels and trash out in the corridor took some getting used to, but since I didn’t spend all that much time in my room, it wasn’t that big a deal. Only down sites were that there was an ice machine in the lobby but no container for ice in the room and that the (mandatory) flashlight and earthquake safety instructions were missing.
