The location is good, the little enclosed balcony has nice view.

The room should be non- smoking room. But it has strong smoking smell. And the stuff told us all rooms were full so we can't switch. Very disappointed.

Nice people on their reception of us, we were able to store our luggages for free before and after our stay. Such beautiful room and view.

There is never a thing you will not like here. Everything is special.

Location was great, except for when the tourist boats were running in the evenings, when a lot of outside noise penetrated the double-glazing.Staff was so friendly.

No reading lamps in the room.Futons were very low to the floor (to be expected). We managed to get up and down but it was a struggle.

Bathroom small and outdated

The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, which we truly appreciated. The location and the view were both amazing. Staying in a traditional ryokan right in the heart of Dotonbori made the experience truly unique—a must-visit!

There were no properly sized towels, and the ones provided seemed quite old. I didn’t enjoy the breakfast, although I believe that’s more due to the traditional Japanese breakfast style—with items like pickles and fish—rather than any fault of the hotel.

The location is literally 3 minutes walk from Dotonbori, but it looks like you are lost in traditional Japan. Staff is always available and helpful for everything. We appreciate the tatami in the whole room and the futon experience.

A warm welcome from the reception staff and some good advice on transport local food etc. The room was massive by Japanese standard with a great view of the canal from the balcony. We loved the stay here. I made use of the Onsen

We stayed in a japanese style room with 3 beds next to each other. The beds were comfortable for us. The balcony section was just great , looking down to the canal. Some noose in the evenings due talking tourists, music; but when you close the windows, it was just quiet. The location cannot be better, just in the city center, walking distance to almost everything. Very lovely and helpful staff. We loved it.

The location was great for the Dotonbori area which is very lively. Loved the small adjoining room overlooking the canal. It was a useful space for luggage and to look out onto the canal below. Asian breakfast was lovely. The owner who greeted us on arrival was very friendly and helpful. All the staff were equally helpful and friendly.

Nothing we didn't like. Would definitely recommend the property.

The Location was perfect at the Center of the City. The Staff was super nice. The room was huge and comfortable.

This is the perfect stay in Osaka! We wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, especially with transportation. It was a quiet room even with music and noises outside. Very comfortable beds! Great experience.

Kaneyoshi Ryokan was the ideal base for exploring Osaka. The location is unbeatable—right in the center, with a stunning view of the river in a quieter part of Dotonbori. It almost felt too good to be true!One of my favorite things about this ryokan was its retro, Showa-era charm. If you love that aesthetic, you’ll adore this place. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we slept wonderfully on the futons in an incredibly spacious room—especially by Japanese standards.The onsen was another highlight. Around 5 PM, it was completely empty, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day of walking.Lastly, the staff was fantastic—always helpful and ready to answer any questions. The man at the front desk even gave us great tips for both Osaka and Kobe!If you’re looking for a well-located, nostalgic, and comfortable stay in Osaka, this ryokan is a great choice.

Location was fantastic - right in the canal minutes from DOTONBORI. The room was very comfortable and clean and the public bath onsite was great. Staff were very engaged and helpful.

Bathroom shower was low for anyone over 6’.
