Everyone was kind and helpful.

I reserved the room for 3 adults but once at check in, I was told I had to pay an extra charge for an extra person. I clearly only had 3 people and I listed it when booking.

I recently stayed at this hotel. While there were many highlights to the stay.The hotel facilities are truly excellent. It is a grand property with a fantastic fitness center and great breakfast options. What really stood out, however, was the service. The staff was excellent—everyone I encountered was incredibly nice, professional, and helpful, which made me feel very welcome throughout my stay.Perfect Location and Park AccessThe location behind the central park was the best part of the trip for me; I really enjoyed walking over every day. It’s a wonderful way to escape the city’s hustle and bustle without having to travel far.Overall, the excellent staff, top-tier facilities, and the beautiful park next door made for a great stay.

Room SizeThe only real negative aspect of the stay was the room. I found the rooms to be very small, especially compared to the scale of the rest of the hotel. If you are traveling with a lot of luggage or prefer a more spacious living area, the compact nature of the rooms is something to keep in mind.

The hotel team I interacted with were incredibly kind and thoughtful — something you don’t always expect from a hotel of this size. The rooms were spacious, and the twin beds were surprisingly large and very comfortable.The food at the hotel was consistently very good, and guest services and the in-room dining team went above and beyond by sending a complimentary birthday treat and ginger tea when I wasn’t feeling well. These small, thoughtful gestures truly made the stay more memorable.I also had a fantastic massage with Khun Beth, and Khun Peach was extremely helpful at reception. The rooftop bar offers great views paired with excellent music.The hotel’s location is another highlight, with easy access to the BTS, metro, and nearby malls, making it very convenient.

The pool size was disappointing for such a large hotel, and elevator waits were very long even with eight elevators.

The rooms are old and need renovating The fitst four rooms we were shown were shabby or smelled bad. The breakfast room is large and noisy so we sat outdoors which would've been charming except for pigeons that ate food off the tables. The pool was very cold and should have been heated. Was also closed early (16:30) for a conference on our last day which was inconvenient and unnecessary as the pool area wasn't being used for the conference.

At check-in we were told that the hotel is taking a security deposit that exceeded the price of the stay with the breakfast that we requested. They put a block of over 36k Baht on the bill that would be 28k in 5 days, 4 nights. They never informed us that this deposit would be returned only up to 2 weeks after departure. This shocking information met us at the counter at checkout. They also haven't told us how this would go. My ratings are bottom, because the deposit is STILL NOT returned after 1 MONTH! Though after 1 month we can't see the proper evidence of this. We can't see on the bank statement that the deposit was for 36k and the only transaction that shows is the 28k. Therefore I'm not sure if we were taken for 8k Bahts or not.

The food, the breakfast buffet had great variety and the music in the various restaurants had the right style and volume for each. I liked the extra water given in my room (much appreciated). The staff and uniforms were perfect. I had exceptional service from May at reception who was extremely knowledgeable on your products and membership services, she guided me through the sign in/ up process and recommended that I add my extra night booking through your app instead of using an OTA (booking.com.The next day, I went up for more assistance, and she remembered my room number from the top of her head. She's super smart, and although she's new, she'd make a good supervisor material.The other staff member that I noticed was in the Sian tea room. Overall, the staff were friendly, confident, and attentive, and the food was great, but I noticed great control over the whole room from Tubtim, who also would make a good manager. She asked me if I had any feedback and was open to criticism, which I didn't have. Trust me, my background is F&B for over 40 years, and I now own and operate a very successful luxury hotel in Bali called Ulaman Bali. I've attached photos of these 2 below. I was also impressed at the breakfast buffet that the male greeter asked if I wanted coffee or tea to take away. Nice touch!

However, there were 2 staff members in the buffet that could use improvement. My background is also a chef, and I noticed a nonchalant work ethic from one of your cooks at the egg station who seems unfocused and uninterested. My eggs Benedict hard a hard dry muffin and very little smoked salmon. I did mention this to the egg station order taker (pic attached)The other is the girl from Indonesia (because I asked and also pic attached)When I arrived at the dining table, I was not escorted this time. She was joking and playing with her coworker, and it seemed like that was more important. It's not a big deal, but I noticed this kept happening, and I even saw the floor supervisor give her a light push telling her to go back to work. But then I was impressed that she ran after a guest who forgot something b at their table and gave it back to them before they left.

I had stayed at this hotel many time and always have many good stays. Close to Sky Train, Shopping Mall, Park and etc. Easy to access Bangkok via Sky Train or Underground Train. Choice of Breakfast is great. Must try all hotel's restaurant.

It all feels a bit dated and in need of an upgrade. Showers that have spots, mats with holes in them, older generation usb ports.
