The hotel was in the heart of things so it was easy to get around. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Personally, I found the music each evening not to my taste and while loud, it did not go too late

Everything was wonderful!

I do wish the windows opened, or showed outside. But they were beautifully colored, and didn’t ruin the stay.

Wonderful location for night market and live music nightly. They had an afternoon tea with musician in HanFu. Every corner was Instagram worthy. Excellent experience.

Such a cool decor. What a great ambiance. Really feels like you are in pre-Communist China. While room is small, bed was huge and maid service was excellent. Live music was a treat. Special thanks to General Manager.

Yeah, by giving a great review, I'm likely to not be able to stay as easily or inexpensively. Hahaha

We were told after booking we had a complimentary taxi to airport. They knew nothing at check in and this made check in long and tedious

The Shanghai Mansion is right in the heart of Chinatown, but our room was large, comfortable and very quiet.

The atmosphere, and yhe hotel itself is set up so you don't get the sounds of Yarowat even when busy too much, but still have easy access to it.The staff (M, One, Ying, Piit, Paula) also went out of there way and were quite nice. Would definitely go to this hotel again.

One small comment: would've been nice if there was a nightstand for both sides of the room.

Location, interior design and service

The staff are excellent. They are so hospitable and caring. They couldn’t do enough for us.

We stayed 5 nights. Our room didn’t really have a window or a space for us to sit other than the bed. After the 3rd night we weren’t that comfortable. This hotel is perfect for a 2-3 night stay.

It was beautiful just as pictured and in the center of China town! The town really came alive at night. Friendly locals and so much to see just blocks from the hotel.

The staff genuinely just seemed confused the entire time. I requested early check in, arrived at noon and was told to wait. After much time has passed, they said they never got the request. As we walked away, they said wait your room is ready. Stuck us in a smaller room than booked. We went and explored for several hours (5 hours) and when we came back the staff rushed at us and said our room was ready although we had a room already? So we moved in a rush. The rooms also don’t have ANY windows. Very dark.

This hotel was amazing. We only stayed one night and wish we had stayed longer. A comfortable and truly unique hotel — with an amazing lobby and bar!

The hotel and rooms were beautifully designed. Staff was friendly. Nice extra touch to have free afternoon tea, snacks and performance though the snacks were rather average.

Should have power outlets on the left and right side of the bed so that it is easier to charge the electronic devices. Too few power outlets in the room.
