Kokotel Bangkok Surawong

The location is good, close to 3 train stations (walk around 10 minutes). Close to night market. Found a local morning market nearby for breakfast. Location definitely good.

The room smaller than I expected. but over all not a big deal

We are returning guests in Kokotel Bangkok Surawong. Whenever we are in Bangkok, our kids want to stay here because of the slide in the lobby. The members of the staff are lovely, and the breakfast has a nice variation of Western and Asian food. There is also a Korean BBQ place nearby, and I think it's the best Korean restaurant in Thailand. The hotel has a cute sheep-themed design, and they always update the facilities: there are plastic-free drinking bottles and water, amenities. You can reach many sights by a short bus or cab ride, or even on foot. It's a great value for money, all in all.

However, our latest stay here was the last, and it's absolutely not the hotel's fault. I'm talking about the absurdly loud motorbikes. During our last stay, 3 out 4 members of our family couldn't sleep because of the noise. The 4th member is a young child, and can sleep anywhere. Again, it is not the hotel's fault. During our previous 5 stays it didn't happen. The hotel has rooms that face the street, and rooms that don't, and previously we have stayed several days in both types of rooms, and it wasn't a problem. And if anything, the hotel has updated the soundproofing, and our hearing just got worse as we age. And, btw, we sleep with military-grade earplugs. But falling asleep was impossible because of the noise. In the previous years we could see a huge upgrade in the vehicles in Thailand, there are more and more electric cars, so traffic noise should decrease, but no. Bikes are getting louder. Why? So sorry to say this, but if I'm unable to have a good night's sleep, I won't return.

Lovely rooms, convenient location

Be aware that you might not be able to sleep at night in this hotel.Two years ago, it was fine, but now the road near the hotel became a lot busier and half of the night you'll hear noisy motorcycles and tuk tuks. Also, there is a junction at the road, so vehicles accelerate and makes more noise.Rooms don't have much soundproof (single glass windows), even earplugs don't help.I paid for one week and during the first night tried to change the room for something quieter, but the stuff told me that there is none available. After two days I've checked out and moved to nearest hotel away from the roads.And I didn't get a refund for the rest of the days from the hotel.

Room is spacious. Location is great for me since it's where I want to be near.

Seating isn't enough for 2 people.

Comfortable beds. Kids had fun with the slide in the lobby. There’s also a play room for small kids that’s nice. The location was great, close to everything. Would recommend

The bed was very comfortable. Value for money as I booked after songkran. The front desk are very nice and helpful. ❤️

More walk to BTS station but u can take motor bike instead to the place u wanna go. The hotel should put gym Instead of playground. ?

Friendly staff, specially Ms. Wan and Woonsen, they are very friendly and helpful, always smile. The room is not large but modernly and facility. Very clean. I recommend travellers who like Japanese hotel-style should book the hotel. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The aroma in the lobby is very fresh.

The washing machine was not so clean

Dark room, the thick curtain i really liked. Space of the rrom is big enough.

Some noise from next room at late night. But its ok.

We booked quadrupole room which had bunk bed in addition to 2 single beds. My kids liked bunk bed and we each had enough place to sleep/ rest. Breakfast served was good with some variety each morning. My family enjoyed it. Small kids play area near reception was blessing for kids. Hotel location was quite central to many famous tourist spots and malls in Bangkok.

Bed corner at entry was blocking the way to room and had risk of hitting in foot if not careful. Corner could be made round shaped.

The location was good and stuff extremely welcoming and supportive. Kids really enjoyed the kid’s room, and breakfast was good.However, the rooms really need improvement. It was also quite noisy.

Gr8 facilities for family...near by looks of good easy accessible places.

All ok..just some dishes needed for veg diet

Exceptional staff service, delicious breakfast and coffee, variety of meals at the restaurant, comfortable (but not too spacious) rooms, great location, overall good value for money.

The rooms could be a little bit more spacious, it was bit tight for family of 5, but still considering the price and breakfast included it's good value.

Stains on the walls from possible smokers spit Disgusting. Tried to clean it ourselves but it had been there to long

It’s family friendly so can be a bit noisy in the play area.

It doesn’t look like on the photos. Maybe I was just unlucky, but my rooms had hair balls on the floor and cobwebs on the ceiling. It was dark and gloomy and the view looked at a wall with a dirty balcony full of bottles and dust. You must open windows to get fresh air, but immediately invite in mosquitos. The bedsheets were worn off with holes and stitches to cover them. Didn’t feel comfortable at all

Size of room is cozy, strong water shower, thick curtain for good sleep. The location is good.

Cockroaches came up in our last days.Thin walls.

The room was a good size for one person, the bed was comfortable and the room felt cozy. There was a water fountain, which was very useful as it avoided me to buy too many plastic bottle.The hotel felt very cozy and nice with the atmosphere and the little playground on the entry hall. Station for tube is not that far, as well as close bus stop coming from the center directly to the hotel. Staff was very nice, and had a little to go breakfast for me when I left early on my last day
