Lamphu Tree House Boutique Hotel

I love everything at this hotel it was my second visit. The staff is nice, the food is great and the bed was very comfortable. The location is very good and you can get where you need to go easily from the hotel. I love staying here in Banfkok!

It was perfect

The location is fantastic. Walking distance from many sites but nested in a very calm area. The river in front gives that serene atmosphere.

The rooms were quite basic but still good value.

The staff is incredibly kind. They let my friend store her baggage for more than a week in Bangkok, even though we will return to a different hotel. The neighborhood is lovely and the intricate wooden decor in the hotel is lovely.

The location was some distance in terms of walking to places. However it was easy to use the rideshare "Grab" to get around.

Stairs. No way to access hotel by car so if you have any accessibility issues forget it. elevator landing is 5 stairs above or below your floor so you always need to carry your luggage. Door safety lock didn't work from the inside. "Boutique " hotel was a misnomer. We went looking for dinner at 8 pm and EVERYTHING was closed in this neighborhood. If you only have one night in Bangkok (on a once in a lifetime trip to SE Asia) pay a little more and get a proper hotel. I was misled by previous reviews here.

Our room with a balcony was good.The staff were fantastic.The breakfast was modest but tasteful.The location for us was good as It was not far from most attractions, by foot, tuktuk or (grab) taxi.The dining/seating area was great which also included all-day complimentary coffee/tea, water and bananas.There was also a bar, pool and restaurant.

The shower cubicle was a bit on the small side and the shower head needed an adjustable height slider rail.Poor tv signal.This is just nitpicking really but others may find this helpful.

Very traditional hotel, lovely decorated comfortable rooms. Staff are all so helpful, great value for eating and drinks. Yes you can eat cheaper at street food venues but worth having dinner there at least one night. Lovely pool area to cool off with towels provided. Opt for the suites in main building for extra comfort.

Amazing and welcoming staff, location! Walk up a few steps and there's a stop to wait for tuk tuks or Grab if you need it! About a block away from a hub of restaurants!!! So, so good! Fresh and great breakfast!

The location is great, walking distance to nearby bustling main strip. The rooms are so gorgeous and the bathrooms are stunning. Big tv, fridge, everything you need. Pool is warm, and you can smoke on the balconies and in the communal areas. The breakfast buffet each morning is so generous and delicious. I can't wait to go back!

We had a very good experience at Lamphu Tree Hotel. The location is ideal if you're planning to explore Old Bangkok — it's within walking distance of major sights like the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and Khao San Road. There are also several excellent restaurants nearby, a small local market, and a 7-Eleven close to the river, which adds to the convenience.The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, with a charming small pool area that’s perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, making the stay even more pleasant. They also have a restaurant on-site that serves a good breakfast, which was a great way to start each day.Overall, the highlights are definitely the proximity to key attractions, dining options, and local markets — all easily accessible on foot. Plus, it was very good value for money, making it an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in Bangkok.

There’s really nothing we disliked about Lamphu Tree Hotel, but one thing worth mentioning is that the hotel is not directly accessible by car. Taxis need to stop on a nearby bridge, and from there you take a short staircase down and walk a few steps to reach the hotel. It’s not difficult, but travelers with heavy luggage or mobility issues might want to keep this in mind.That said, we actually saw this as a plus — the hotel is located by a peaceful canal with a walking path in front, which adds to its charm and quiet atmosphere. Taxis had no problem picking us up or dropping us off, so it was never an inconvenience.

Good location, comfortable and clean rooms though a bit dated, particularly the bathroom. Lovely pool though it closed at 9 pm and I 9 to 10 is when I would have been most apt to use it.

The breakfast quality was ok but I was disappointed by the service and availability. 2 days out of 3 when I arrived most of the food I wanted to eat was out and I had to wait 15 minutes for more for it to be refilled. All the juice was gone and not refilled. This is sloppy and don’t offer brekafast if you can’t provide it. Especially when you advertise a sign to outsiders that you have a breakfast buffet for 300 baht. If I had paid that I would have been furious.

It was clean, the layout is kinda weird as there are stairs before the elevator but not the end of the world. The bathroom could use a remodeling. There is a coin laundry matt very close by and it was a life saver

Perfect location and very friendly staff. The pool and bar provide a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.

Nice quiet spot on the canal with a couple of nice restaurants nearby but also close enough to find some more lively areas nearby. Hotel suites on top floor were really nice and had a great view.
