Staff and prime location

Fantastic location.Loved breakfast served on the river.Large room. Very friendly staff.Room 202 was VERY quiet.So many great restaurants nearby.Wat Pho Original Massage nearby!Many temples nearby as well as Grand Palace.Stayed 4 nights. Needed more time!

No laundry service. That was a surprise. Not a deal breaker. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very nice. The location was good.

$200 a night for this room was too much compared what I’ve been paying in Thailand. Would not pay this much for this room in the future.

Very convenient location, short walk to subway, walking distance to the main attractions. Very good set manual breakfast with nice view of the river.

Very homey and welcoming staff. Rooms were very clean. A lot great restaurants within a 2-5minute walk Great breakfast place.

Not enough facilities like a gym or pool.

The locations was fabulous. Pan treated us like family, made us feel welcome, and gave us local insights. The breakfast was fantastic and with a beautiful view. The room was comfortable and clean.

The location was amazing and the staff, particularly Pan at the front desk, were warm, friendly and helpful. The water pressure was very good and the room was very quiet, despite its proximity to the river and Grand Palace.The included breakfast was excellent!

Pan was such a remarkable member of the staff. She greeted us warmly and gave us attention - in fact the whole staff was greatThe breakfast was perfect

The river view room really made our stay nicer! You can look across at the temples and then at night watch the light show. But “ Aunty Pan” ( as I lovingly refer to the front desk woman) made our stay amazing. She is very thoughtful and funny. The Free Breakfast was also nice at the next door cafe with riverside view.

The step down into the bathroom was a bit surprising and will catch you off guard. The shower water temperature was inconsistent, either too hot or cold.

No one spoke English, the concierge couldn't give dinner recommendations and when we couldn't find a local seat at 6 was no help All the wait staff was nice and breakfast on the river was nice with a good view of Wat Arun especially at night.

Great Thai Breakfast. Near MRT and river ferries, etc. We had nice room overlooking the river. The staff was fantastic!

Everything was good.

Breakfast was served with views of the river. Pan at the front desk helped us throughout our stay with helpful advice. We never heard a sound when in our room and we had views over the river which was nice.

Our room was perfect with one exception - a step down into the bathroom is a tripping hazard!

We tried to communicate with the facility through booking.com and always got an error message. We were able to communicate by telephone

I enjoyed all aspects of my stay at Aurum the River Place. The location was ideal for me and the property offered everything I needed. The room was comfortable, and the included breakfast at the cafe overlooking the river and Wat Arun was a nice way to start the day. I walked almost everywhere from the hotel, with exception of taking the metro to Sukumvit (which was easy as the metro stop was a short walk from the hotel). The best part of my stay was the staff -- specifically Pan at reception was a delight! This sweet lady was so very kind and helpful and always brought a smile to my face when we chatted, as she was just a drop of sunshine. She always offered great advice and even helped me set up an airport transfer when it was time for me to catch my flight. All in all, I have no complaints, only praise, for my stay at Aurum the River Place.

Setting up of breakfast

The location was great, walking distance to the main temples and The Palace in Old Bangkok. It’s a boutique hotel with some rooms with view to the river. The breakfast was Ok, it’s prepared for each guest daily from 3 different options; Thai, American and forgot the third option. The staff was great, everyone was nice and attentive, specially Pan, she went out of her way to make our stay the best!

Did not like that the room had worn sleepers. They looked like they were made out of leather and they are reused with every guest. For us this was not an issue, since we had our own sleepers.

The location of this hotel was great. The breakfast area had a fantastic view to Wat Arun across the river.

Overall, this location fell short of what we wanted. The staff was grouchy and short with us. The property had a tall building built in front of it blocking the river views and so the hotel had a feeling that it once was lovely but now was past its prime. The room was dated. The lobby was not inviting. The Breakfast area had a lovely view across the river but awkwardly laid out (and old cobwebs laced the railing). I wish that we paid a little more and stayed at another nearby hotel.

The included Breakfast along the river was a fantastic and romantic way to start each day on our trip. The building was nestled away in a quieter part of the neighborhood, felt very safe. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating - a wonderful hotel experience.

1. The owner Ma'am was so lovely and kind all the time. Thank you for your service. 2. We loved the Thai styled breakfast. It's also interesting that the hotel gives us 3 breakfast choices (American , Thai, Sandwich ) . Last day we had to check out early , thankfully ma'am made us sandwich in advance ?3. The hotel is near Watpo and Wat Arun.

* There were nothing bad things about the hotel and owner?-------1. If you want to get alot of massage I recommend to move near China Town or Khao San road. There are few shops near hotel but little expensive. 2. If you tour to shop a lot, you should take a cab or sidecar to 5km East for a big shopping mall.
