Chillax Resort Khaosan

The staff was great, it was clean and quiet. It was in a relaxing chill area.

It was a little far from the MRT and BTS stations.

The room was big and clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. It was my partner’s birthday and they brought him a little gift on the house. The swimming pool is beautiful and the gym is well equipped.Breakfast had a lot of options too!Lots of great restaurants walking distance from the hotel. We are very grateful for everything they did for us.

The location is excellent, with easy access to major tourist areas such as Khao San Road, nearby temples, and Rajadamnern Stadium. It’s very convenient to walk around the neighborhood or take a short Grab ride to most attractions. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay, which made check-in and overall experience smooth and pleasant.

The breakfast was underwhelming. Hot items such as bacon and potatoes were served cold and not kept on warmers, the pastry selection was very basic, and the coffee was unfortunately not enjoyable. Improving the breakfast quality would make a noticeable difference to the overall stay.

Stay away from 5th floor where the water flows from the pool (located at 6th floor) all night or where you can hear the elevator motor.

The worst thing I can say is that the shower hose was not adjustable and depending on your height - where the water hits can be uncomfortable.

We had 2 rooms as we were 2 adults and 2 children, and they were able to give us communicating rooms which was very appreciated. We also were able to have 1 room with a double bed and one room with 2 single beds which was perfect for the kids. Rooms were big, clean and quiet. Bathroom was well equipped and provided with enough shower products. Breakfast was possible in the hotel, but cheap alternatives can be found just across the road. Localisation is just perfect : close to Khaosan road, easy to walk to the grand palace and the emerald buddha, nice restaurants and bars right across the street or slightly further (I recommend the Samsen Center bar and the Eat Me). The swimming pool on the roof is just incredible with a beautiful view on the city, though in high season it might get crowded as it is rather small.

To enable the communicating doors between the rooms we had to move a low table, that then used up a lot of space. TV channels were very limited and without any international channels, nor kids program. Not really an issue for holidays, but still troublesome to occupy the kids in between activities. The bathtub was not very practical as the water was spilling onto the floor. The view was not very nice : directly onto a building wall. The cocktails at the swimming pool bar were not the best.

Very comfortable hotel. Strong WiFi connection. Very delicious breakfast and friendly staff.

they write it’s 0.9km or something like this from the center of town well it is not you’ll have to take an uber of 40 minutes for literally everything that isn’t khaosan and metro is far away from it

I loved the location of this property to the proximity of the markets! Staff was super friendly, and I love the setup of the room. The red lights at night were also a plus

Generally, it was a good hotel. Location was good, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly.

The bathtub should be cleaner. We couldn't use it because it wasn't that clean. The window view of our room was wall.

My room is big, clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and able to communicate well in English, which was needed for taking car rides. There were plenty of good restaurants around. Make sure to walk to the nearest ferry stop, called 'Prat Athit' (a 15-minute walk). The blue line ferry takes you to several sights for as little as THB40, which you can get at the ferry station. The restaurants next to the hotel serve delicious food! The hotel provides a decent breakfast for THB299.

The air conditioner was really loud. Since it wasn’t that hot in the room, I slept without turning it on, but the air conditioners from the other rooms, which were mounted outside the hotel, were loud.

Good option if you want affordable luxury in the middle of an area with the major sights (wats and palace, KSR, riverside, etc) well within reach as well as many nice restaurants and walking streets right around the corner. Own taxi/grab lawn and 7-11 just in front of the door.

If I have to say something which could be improved, but I did not mind: you hear people talking when they walk past the door and you hear the whirlpools from other rooms when the jets are turned on (no other sounds).
