- Fantastic little hotel in a great location! We are a family with three children that stayed in the Family Suite for three nights and had a lovely time here. Wonderful staff that is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms and lobby/restaurant is all very clean and cozy and beautifully designed. The breakfast was extremely tasty and worth a visit in itself. Would gladly stay here again and highly recommend!
- The Old Capital Bike inn proved to be a wonderful stay. The hotel is in a very central location in easy walking distance from many of Bangkok's main sites. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning - it was delicious! The room was on the smaller side but that makes sense for the location and charming nature of the property. My two teen boys and I were in the family suite and fit just fine (teen boys should tell you something!). The room and bathroom were spotless and artfully decorated. In fact the whole inn is charmingly decorated with a lot of curated pieces and artwork. The biggest shoutout, and what really makes the stay, are Jason and his staff. The are so kind and helpful. Any question we had whether it was logistics or for recommendations was no trouble at all. Our family also took advantage of the bike tour and had the best time. Jason not only guided us through Bangkok streets' safely but was very patient with my excited 11-year-old who rates it as one of the best experiences ever. We will come back to Bangkok and hope to be able to stay at this wonderful place again.
- Could not recommend this place enough. It is absolutely beautiful, in a great location, and the team is so helpful, welcoming, and attentive. Breakfast is delicious, too. I would absolutely book again!
Cons -
- We were super happy with the Family Suite but the limited storage space for clothes was a downside. With five people in the room it was difficult to unpack so we lived out of our suitcases which made the room feel cluttered.
- Nothing - everything was great.
- We loved everything. The staff were so helpful with ideas on how to spend the day. Jason’s bike tour was a very unique experience, cycling in the evening when everything was quieter. Loved seeing the sights lit up at night and Jason was very knowledgeable about what we were seeing.

Breakfast was made to order and everything was delicious.

I dont have enough time to explain how great this place was for us. We arrived way early in the morning after getting off the islands real early. They took care of us from that second on. Made us breakfast even though we were'nt even checking in until 2pm. Gave us amazing area local dinner advice, chatted with us at breakfast about their lives and their paths that led them to this amazing Inn. I cant even describe how mindful and with care they set up the rooms for my family of 4. I could go on and on but its all the same they're amazing. AND THEN to top it all off they sent me 20% back from my stay because theres a construction project near the hotel. Metro Bangkok i think has like 20 million people.... anyone who lives in or near a big city should know sometimes things get fixed or built. Its literally a tunneling job to improve infrastructure in the area..... didnt even come close to disturbing us.... unreal gesture by them. 10/10 @ Capital Bike Inn ..... would be hard to imagine what anyone could say negatively. God i almost hit send without mentioning breakfast....... and the coffee. Worth the price of admission just to sit down there and connect with ppl from all walks, with different plans heading in opposite directions. Just pure human experience if theres anyone out there still looking for that.

Unique and beautiful property with thoughtful touches. Staff, especially Mobi, were so kind and shared local info and recommendations.
Nothing!
We had such a wonderful stay at OCBI and it truly felt like home. Every detail was thoughtfully done from the beautiful room to the delicious breakfast that we looked forward to each morning. What made our stay extra special was the amazing staff. Everyone was so kind, warm and genuine and they always went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Our experience was so good that we almost canceled our other hotel booking in BKK just to stay at OCBI again. Sadly they were already fully booked. We will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Bangkok and will always remember how special our time here was.
Nothing. Mosquitos are part of the ecosystem
We really enjoyed our stay at Old Capital Bike Inn. The location is great for exploring Bangkok, and the atmosphere of the hotel feels cozy and full of character. The staff was very kind and helpful, always happy to assist with recommendations and directions. Breakfast was good and a nice way to start the day before heading out to explore the city.Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and we would happily stay here again.
Amazing staff - always willing to help and we got a lot of great suggestions. Perfect location for exploring this area of Bangkok. Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance.
The staff. Location
Upstairs bedroom on a precarious flight of stairs. If you are older. Avoid at all costs
Good breakfast
No elevator so we had to carry our bags up some narrow stairs.didn’t have help when we arrived. The room had a bed which was a loft and those stairs were pretty steep. Not great for older people who might have to use toilet in the middle of the of the night.
This is a quirky place. Each room is different and loaded with character. But the owner and staff really make this place stand out. All were informative and did everything possible to make my visit wonderful. Never less than a glowing smile. Definitely take the nighttime bike tour if you are lucky enough to be staying on the days that it is offered. It is a great way to get familiar with the surroundings.
I liked everything really. a word of caution though. If you are even a bit uncomfortable with stairs, pick other than the loft room. The stairs are a bit tricky and I wouldn't recommend them for older perhaps unstable individuals. No problem for me however.
Amazing staff and absolutely darling boutique hotel.
Only one thing. No tea or coffee in the room.
It had this sense of home and charm. Great decor and all the mini touches of Thailand and bikes
Quirky small hotel with great ambience.
Honeymoon suite bath stairs a little steep. Not a big problem. But guests should be aware.
Jason the owner was great. The women at the reception desk, PK, Patsy, and Pat we’re the best! Awesome place to stay and will be even better once all the construction on the street in front of it gets done for the subway. Loved the evening bike tour!
First and fall the service, the care, that the staff gave us was above and beyond, they were available, responsive, and politeWe stay there for four nights and we felt like home from the moment we went in Jason, the owner and his staff were very knowledgeable and caring Breakfast was special and superb. We needed to choose from the menu and night before and we received an amazing set up at the table with delicious food in the morning. We will be arriving here again the moment we can and we highly recommend the place
Some of the furniture and the place needed care, but it wasn’t interrupting our stay or our enjoyable moments
Authentic! vintage inn with bicycles sure, but the staff and owner personally making us feel like family made this purchase most unique stay in many many years. Thank you Jason and team. The bicycle tour was the highlight of my trip!
As warned, the construction - we’ll be happy when it’s over. Noise was no issue, just the sidewalk detours outside.
This is a period property oozing with charm and character. Our room was on the side of the main road where all the works are currently ongoing but as the owner has installed sound insulating windows, the noise was not a problem. The breakfast was perfect, with both Thai and international choices, all cooked to order. The location was fantastic, it was close to everything and at the same time this was a reasonably quieter part of Bangkok despite being central. The owner is very keen to share tips and things to do outside the beaten track so it is great to have this insight at hand. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Bangkok.
Cute bed and breakfast! Charming and quirky in every way. Lovely welcome and great breakfast! Our stay was cut short due to issues but I can see what people love about this place.
Quirky often comes with odd features but this one tipped in the direction of disappointing. The doors to the room didn’t feel like they locked securely, our bathroom didn’t have a door on it for privacy within the unit, and we ended up having to move hotels because our bathtub overflowed the entire lower half of the room. I was lucky enough to have just moved the suitcase off the ground but it would’ve left many things soaked. The desk was relatively unsympathetic about it, “the girl who checked you in should’ve told you that could happen, we will have to make sure she is trained better.” There was certainly an issue with the tub as it leaked from underneath…enough to pull this room off the market till it gets fixed, but that wasn’t considered. When we decided to move for the second night they waived the unused night but when I asked for any compensation back for the night we stayed due to the bathtub incident they said there was nothing they could do. I worked in hotels at the desk for many years…there is always something you can do. Sad this didn’t work out for us, especially with how highly rated it was.
