I loved the food and the atmosphere.

Lack of personal assistance.

No elevator, pictures of rooms posted on Internet were phony, the bathroom was on the balcony, and the hotel is in an ally - my taxi could not get in to deliver my luggage.

Been staying here off and on for 25 years. Great location, good variety of rooms (although prices have gone up), lovely pool area (not on hot sunny roof like some places).

Not a huge fan of the bathroom / toilet being outside on the balcony (but she rooms have been this way since the beginning), and it's a little tight quarters getting the entire bathroom wet from the shower in the middle of the room.

The location and previous ownership were excellent...the place has fallen into disrepair.

the rooms smelled like mold...the property was in disrepair. I couldn't stay there and had to seek other accommodations. and, due to no cancellation policy also ended up having to pay double

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful stay with the kindest staffWe absolutely loved our stay at Wild Orchid Villa. The staff were what made it so special, especially Cham, the hilarious night attendant who always made us laugh, Opor, the lovely and welcoming day concierge, and Ju, the incredible tour coordinator who truly went above and beyond for us. As first-time visitors to Thailand, Ju saved us from a tuk tuk scammer and helped us find well-priced and reliable alternatives. Her kindness and honesty set the tone for our entire trip.Opor was so polite and patient. She even helped us with our beginner Thai phrases and made us feel so comfortable right from the start.The building itself has a bit of age to it with some chipped paint and a little laminate peeling here and there, but that fits the charm of Old Town Bangkok. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the bathroom was clean with no unpleasant smells, which made a big difference after long hot days out exploring. For the price, it’s an absolute win if you’re not expecting luxury finishes.The location is unbeatable. It’s tucked just far enough from Khao San Road to avoid the noise, yet only a five minute walk from all the energy, food, and fun. It’s the perfect balance if you want to be close to everything but still get a good night’s sleep.We’d absolutely stay here again and can’t recommend it enough for travelers looking for great value, friendly faces, and an authentic Bangkok experience.

The location is great, close to everything but not on the Main Street so it was quite at night

The bathroom is on the balcony outside of the room, it made it really weird and uncomfortable to take a shower and it was also unpleasant since of how hot and humid it got in there

The location was good and the housekeeping was very nice.

The cleanliness of the building was decent but there were tiny ants all over. Luckily none that we noticed in the bed.

Perfect location. I found this hotel is quiet for me. My room was on 4th floor. There are a lot of local restaurants , massage shops. 5 min by walking is boat pier.

Unfortunately, I have to write some negative about hotel. Hotel has no lift. Staff was very kindly to help to pickup my havy suitcase upstairs (4th floor). The biggest problem was for me is low ceiling unclude in the room. You have to bend down every time in the room. Room is suitable for people with height till 180 . :-(

Location was great, good value for money and nice clean hotel.

We arrived really early before our check in and the staff members who were around at 6am were not very friendly or helpful. Some other residents were really noisy at 3am in the morning while trying ro sleep.

Travel desk was really amazing, able to get a very cheap deal for all tours we wanted, food and drinks amazing and were allowed to play pool for hours waiting for our flight

There is no lift if you are unable to take stairs

The room was small but ok (no cupboards). However, the toilet looked a bit horrible. I didn't realise that there was no lift in the building, so if you have bad knees like me, not recommended. Restaurant nice. Pool ok. Good location for touristy stuff.

Before Covid, I stayed at Wild Orchid for 2 years, collectively, since 2008. I loved it. Since 'renovation' it has lost some of it's Thai charm and become more 'same same', a real shame, but nonetheless the place is an excellent choice for budget conscious travellers and first-time-Thailanders

Convent to the river boats and lots of restaurants. Quiet away from the party scene.

Stayed 4 nights . Place is clean and Mr win and staff so friendly and helpful. Bus stop short walk away on main road and runs every 30 mins into town centre so location for us was excellent as didn't want to stay in town with huge construction projects going on.
