As a solo traveller this place is not a great place of you're wanting to socialise. Staff were polite but didn't go out of their way to communicate with you.

The location is very close to the khaosan market. There are nice eateries nearby. If I have to express a disappointment then it will be that i didn't get the river side rooom.

The balcony to the water canal is great, gives the room extra feel of spaciousness. It’s very clean and the beds are comfortable. A nice fresh coffee facility is a bonus.

This purely subjective but for me the breakfast was poor in comparison to my experiences of Thai hotel breakfast. For example the eggs did not look appetising and apart from fresh fruit and yogurt, there were only plenty of stale reheated Asian dishes options.

The hotel is beautiful. Clean. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Good proximity to Khao San/Ram Buttri Road.

Good location, just 8 minutes walk from Khaosan Road, very friendly staff, every day cleaning, clean rooms. Pool looks okay (did not use it). Did not take breakfast so don't know about that. Daily 2 water bottles for free. Great shower, no water leaking!! ?

Just like most hotels in Thailand, this one also doesn't have soundproof walls. So at night I could sometimes hear crazy drunk people coming back to their rooms. But that has mostly to do with those people.

I don’t understand some of the low scores, hotel has everything one needs, it’s comfortable, the whole staff is beyond polite and friendly, pool area is super nice and the location also perfect.

The AC was not working well, and sometimes the reception and halls had a not so pleasant smell.

It was a surprising nice little hotel well located.

For some reason, what they sell there for instance at the bar, is a price plus taxes not a price including taxes. I saw that nowhere else in Thailand. It's stupid, we gonna pay it, we can't claim the tax. Just advertise the price!

Room was hard to cool, and every time you leave the room air conditioner turns off so you come back to a very hot space.

Great location for visiting sites in Bangkok Old Town, also close to good restaurants. Staff were very friendly and super helpful. Room was large with lovely bathroom.

Fantastic property in every way. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, great room; large with very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Pool and pool bar much appreciated and drinks a fair price. We loved Bangkok and we loved Casa Vimaya Riverside. We will be back!

Close to all the action but not too close that it’s noisy at night. Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful. Kohsan Road around 5 minutes away.

The staff were very kind. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The roof top pool was nice and a good way to cool off in the afternoon.

The smoking area is right as you enter the hotel, and it is a kind of cave/garage, so all the smoke enters the hotel. We could smell the cigar odor on the elevator. It was really disgusting. This is the first, and only place we stayed in Thailand where we were not offered water or tea as we checked in. This was the second most expensive place we stayed. The balcony is not really a balcony, more of a balconette. You can stand on it, but it is not wide enough for a chair. The hotel is very loud and the walls are thin. We could hear the man coughing next door all night. The doors slam shut, so you also hear people coming and going all night because of that.

The Rooms need a lockable screen door for the veranda- so can sleep without air conditioning.Careful not to slip on the shinny pool tiles

Oasis in a unique setting on a canal, with all activities we sought at a stones throw. Loved breakfast spread and outlook watching locals go about their day. Rooftop pool and a bar a bonus.

Slippery pool tiles but positives in every other aspect far outweighed this small issue

Great location, great hotel and staff, good buffet breakfast and pool bar. All up really good value for money.
