Good location, clean, no frills

Incomplete toiletries, required a deposit, old aircon, bad sound proofing to outside traffic

The property is near to my husband’s agency. Walking dinstance fast food.

For a one night sleep, the hotel is ok. Breakfast served was good, and the staff were amazingly kind and helpful.

There is nothing to dislike.

My 1st time to spent an overnight stay and exceeded my expecfation. Room smells good and neat. Though strict with the check in time, i undrrstand, its all worth it. I so loved the paintings.. simple art yet ooozing. So relaxing and serene. I will do definitely book another stay.Also ... hotel is smoke free whick i so loved. And secured rooms with their card key..

Hmmm.... there is one of the staff that is not customer friendly. The brreakfast I asked to be serve in the room. And the knocking wa so hard, I understand no doorbell. But as soon as i opened the door, no greetings of good morning at all.. Also the breakfast served, i would rate 6/10. Overall hotel stay still good.

Location wise was great and staff was amazing.

AC was not working well. It's hot most of the time. Internet is very slow.

They didn’t provided and room slipper, blanket. When we ask for it they said it’s chargeable. But for any room with AC should provide blanket. That's normal facilities. Asked for a can opener and they said they don’t have. In a hotel can opener is should available. They charge 5000 Peso if smoking in the room but they don’t have any place to smoke

Away from the traffic in Manila. A supermarket verry close. A nice and friendly nightguard and staff. My 8th time at the solace hotel. And nice craft beers at the taproom

first and last stay.

The ac is old and doesn’t work well. bed sheets and duvet are of poor quality. Isn’t comfortable at all. Bed foams are even outdated doesn’t meet the standard of coziness. It’s not sturdy. Staff are not friendly.

It’s convenient with lots of establishments nearby. Commute options accessible too for when we want to go somewhere near.

Bed is a bit too soft, lacking support for back.

not clean, we had two rooms and in one of them there were some cockroaches...I don't think the towels or the bed sheets were changed prior to our arrival...Both rooms on the front and there is noise from the street.They did not open the Aircon before we arrived so the there was a high temperature in the rooms, we waited some time before could go to sleep due of this. Is nice when the hotels make this kind of preparations for the guests...

Cleanliness and Location

I waited for almost an hour for a room to be ready, The staff should be proactive on explaining to customers what is happening rather than waiting for the customer to ask for an update. Overall the stay was good.

I am a repeating guest at this hotel. It is quiet, clean and comfortable (If you purchase the extra bedding). There is a grocery market, fast food and gym within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Staff was responsive to requests. The neighborhood is somewhere in the middle for Manila; it is Safe, but it is not the Makati Greenbelt, that it is not the best, but certainly it is not the worst.

As mentioned I have stayed at this hotel several times. On this stay there was a foul order that seemed to be emanating from the bathroom drain and/or a poorly vented toilet drain. Hotel maintenance placed a towel over the floor drain which helped somewhat, but did not eliminate the odor. I had not encountered this issue on previous stays or rooms, so it may just be a one off. Standard bedding is only a sheet. Blankets and extra pillows are charged 200 php and 100 php each respectively. Oh well.

The place was clean, aircon was working good, big tv.. location was in makati even though there was no store close by.

We wend to solace hotel after we checked out the other hotel, but it was not allowed to checkin early even I wanted to pay for an extra hour, after waiting for more than one hour we finally wend to our room, the person of the lobby apologised later on.The shower was not very warm.Only 2 small bottles of water each day for us, they could put a dispenser in the hallway like many other hotels do.Breakfast was simple, not much choice, it was ok.

The location is accessible to the purpose of travel

Not clean. There were small roaches in the cabinet and toilet. I cancelled the remaining 2 nights of my stay coz i was not comfortable with the roaches but they did not refund me due to it was booked through booking.com site. They didn’t have a working website where you can book. All will route you to booking.com

Ms. Iya at the front desk was always helpful and also very knowledgeable about any questions I had about the city.Mr. Donald was very polite. Any time I had an issue with my water temperature even at 3 am he always had a smile and worked quickly.Mr. Hill the door greeter was helpful when I had bags or mail.There are guards on duty 24/7. I felt safe my entire stay

A few bugs here and there

Fast wifi,big screen tv,hot water and good waterpressure,working toilet,small fridge which is always welcomed,water kettle,lots of lights you can adjust how you like,plenty of pillows,small table and a chair,many electric outlets for your devices chargers,breakfast available for extra charge from 6-9am. Very helpful staff with our big luggages when arriving and leaving,big thanks. (We ended up staying 4 nights.)

Noisy nextdoor neighbors outside their room,got a call from hotel pest control late evening at 10:15pm that they wanted to come spray (the man said its smelly),i was confused and i declined. For those who want early check in,their fee is 500peso,we rather waited then1,5hours.Without those 2 happenings i perhaps would have given little higher overall rating.

The hotel staffs are very friendly and polite. Specially Macky! I'll definitely go back to this hotel and I had the best experience with them!

Room 513's phone is not working. And some of the power outlet are not working as well. But I hope they were able to fix it.

This was our 3rd time staying at Solace. The location is great. The room was clean.

The previous front desk officer was great, but the ones who assisted us yesterday was so-so. I hope she smile and greet the customers just like the usual staff do.
