    Cons -

    • Internet didn’t work, toilet didn’t flush, front desk didn’t answer my morning calls
    • Had some issues with the drainage in my shower
    • This is not 5 start accommodation. Upon check in are problems started. First our washing machine was broken, no one checked the room over to make sure everything was working. The machine was full of water and not even plugged in. Unfortunately I had thrown my cloths in before realizing this. They changed rooms for us fairly fast. But the washer dryer combo never worked properly. It never dried our cloths fully.Second they didn't fully supply the room with amenities, we had to ask for bath robes. There's no water in the rooms. Every time you want water you have to go out to the hall way and fill your water jug. The coffee supplied is the cheapest coffee available also the creamer. There's not even a microwave in the kitchen.Third the breakfast is a disaster. No professionalism at all in the restaurant. I don't think they hire professional kitchen staff. Food is not very tasty and the coffee is horrible. Maybe they should hire a barista and buy some better coffee. Very disappointing for the price of the accommodation.Fourth is the spa service. Most expensive massage available in Asia. We had a horrible experience here. My girlfriend has lived in Thailand for 10 years and said here massage was one of the worse she has ever received. After the massage the therapist hand you a rating card and ask for a tip. Also my girlfriends therapist was talking to her the whole time. I have never seen her so upset after a massage.Long story short. I think you can find better accommodation for the price of this place. Needs better management like most places in the Philippines.

Our family of 15 had four 2-bedroom apartments which were amazing! The apts were clean and roomy and included a kitchenette. Each floor had a bottled water dispenser. The location of Oakwood Makati was in walking distance to lots of restaurants and entertainment as well as a short Grab ride to SM Mall. It had a wonderful pool and gym. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

The entrance to the lobby was really pretty elevated from the main drop off. Although there were steep stairs and a long ramp to get to the lobby, this was not convenient for my elderly in-laws.

    Good staff

Located in the red light district - don’t be surprised to see passport bros with their extremely young women. The rooms don’t have any full length mirror whatsoever. It feels seedy

    The size of the room

Oakwood has always been fond of veneer, faux-wood finishes and plastic “marble,” but Oakwood Makati has truly outdone itself. If there were an award for Maximum Savings at the Expense of Human Joy, they’d be a strong contender. The entire place radiates one guiding philosophy: “How can we save another 50 cents — and maybe charge you five dollars for it?”A few highlights:-Early check-in costs about 300% of the nightly rate, because they insist on using the mythical “walk-in rate” — the price nobody in the history of humanity has ever actually paid. And even if your booking includes breakfast, the early check-in rate somehow doesn’t… another 880 pesos, please.-Late check-out? A simple extra hour or two is “not possible due to full house”… unless you’re willing to pay a half-day extra, in which case, miraculously, the full house suddenly has plenty of space (in all fairness, after enough pushing they eventually relented and let me stay two hours longer).-Want your room cleaned outside their sacred cleaning window? That’ll be 600 PHP.-Checking in solo? Expect one towel only. Second towels must be earned, it seems.-Breakfast features a daring culinary innovation: rolled-up American plastic cheese, served as “cheese.”-For coffee, they offer the unmistakable taste of Nescafé — say no more. Even the espresso is as weak as tea, presumably to save a few extra pesos on beans.-Internet: simply not workable. Not “slow,” not “patchy” — just inconsistent to the point you cannot properly work or upload anything.-Shower water that’s not really hot, duvets that are more like flattened pancakes, and bathroom amenities that simply don’t exist.-Check-out comes with a mandatory “room inspection wait,” followed by a triumphant “your room is cleared, Sir,” as though you’ve passed a major customs checkpoint.-And the staff… well. They’re friendly, but radiate the energy of people who would rather be anywhere else. Professional enthusiasm is clearly not included in the room rate.

I had a wonderful stay at Oakwood Hotel in Makati. The hospitality and service from the staff, especially at the reception, were truly excellent—they were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The room was very comfortable, and the bed was incredibly cozy, making it easy to relax after a long day. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Makati.

Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious.

The location was a bit sketchy. The receptionist was not helpful at all. The rooms echoed the sounds outside and it was hard to sleep. I got a room here because there was a deal for an hour spa trip but when I got there they said the spa voucher was only good for 10 minutes. Not worth the money at all.

hotel staff very respectful, friendly, and helpful. hotel's location is great, very close to restaurants, mall, and the supermarket.

The breakfast was disappointing and fell short of expectations I only had breakfast twice during in 10 days of my stay. There was only one type of cereal available, and the scrambled eggs were served cold. The selection of baked goods was poor in both variety and quality. Food options overall were quite limited and did not reflect an intercontinental breakfast standard. Moreover, the juices provided were canned rather than fresh. I hope the hotel management takes these points into consideration and works on improving the quality and variety of the breakfast offerings.

The view from our room is fantastic. Beds are clean and spacious. The frontdesk officer assigned during our stay was very polite and helpful (Ruffa). The staff in the pool were also nice.

Not heated pool. Not kid friendly as it’s too cold. Two of our three booked rooms were warm and having aircon difficulty despite being checked by engineering team.

    10MeghanPosted on: 5-22-2025

I liked the location, the facilities, and the breakfast buffet quality and variety was excellent. I especially loved that breakfast was open from 6AM- 11AM. So many hotels have minimal breakfast offerings and do not accommodate atypical sleeping and eating schedules. The bathrooms and bedrooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with toiletries and towels. The water pressure and temperature was consistent and perfect for us, too. The staff was very attentive and prompt to any extra needs we might have had. I would 100% book a stay here again!

Contrary to the amazing, out-of-this-world breakfast experience, the 4th floor lunch/dinner menu was pretty bad. We were hungry when we arrived and hoping to have a quick, satisfying meal before leaving the hotel. It took almost 45 minutes for our food to come, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant, and everything seemed to be appetizer-sized. I didn't like that our rooms were split between two different floors. We needed key cards to access the elevator floor of the second room we booked, but I would have preferred they both be on the same floor to make it easier to come and go from each unit. I also would have liked to have had the balcony unlocked automatically for us. We needed dish towels, dish soap, pots, pans, knives/cutting board. It would be nice if this option was presented to us at check-in, rather than finding out after we settled into the room and realized we didn't have all the kitchen equipment we needed.

My recent stay at Oakwood Makati Avenue was truly memorable. The spacious and modern suites, equipped with smart TVs and well-appointed kitchenettes, provided a comfortable home-away-from-home experience. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning city views, and the rooftop pool with its glass floor was a highlight. The onsen spa, gym, and digital photo booths added unique touches to the stay. Located near Poblacion's vibrant nightlife and dining options, it was the perfect blend of relaxation and convenience. The friendly staff and thoughtful amenities made this stay exceptional.

    8MichealPosted on: 4-22-2025

The staff at Oakwood was amazing, everyone was very friendly and helpful! The breakfast buffet selection was good, but not ideal if you were a vegetarian or vegan. The gym was equipped with decent machines and the pool was good. The onsen and sauna was amazing and a definite bonus for the hotel guests!

We went during Holy Week, so around 8pm, it got very loud outside. Our room was right across a hotel pool, so we didn't get to keep our blinds open due to privacy. The bathtub was enclosed in glass with a VERY high side, which would be very inconvenient for elderly or people with mobility issues. The hot water was not hot enough to run a bath, making the experience not enjoyable. The parking process was very tedious, as you need to go to reception everytime you wanted to leave the carpark to get a receipt. The streets outside the hotel had many beggers, making it less than ideal to walk anywhere.

    Clean, classy

Aircon was hot, it shut down in the middle of the night for a while. The wifi was slow even for registered guestsThere were staffs hanging out in the onsen making going naked uncomfortable.

I love the staff, they're warm and kind. The service was exemplary. I love how they respond to our requests, very timely and prompt.

The parking. They need to improve the parking space even the placement of the ticketing booth. Too risky for new drivers.
