Overall hotel is fine. However the rooms we stayed at need updating. Carpets were stained and the rooms smelled of smoking cigarettes.

Extremely hazardous situation with the bathroom floor. White ceramic tile EXTREMELY SLIPPERY WHEN WET. I'd be amazed to find out no one has been severely injured by this stuff. At checkout, staff took their sweet time getting to the room & we missed our cab to the airport

Every time I come to the Philippines this is my fist stop, always clean, the breakfast is beyond delicious and the staff is the friendliest people I have ever met

I ordered coffee latte and the lady said she's going to bring it to our table. I waited for a while and it didn't come. So I just went to order another one.

Rooms aren’t as modern-looking or updated as other 5-star hotels.

We have celebrated the 25th birthday of my eldest son Clever, and we really appreciate the surprise cakes and balloons for him . It was a memorable experience ,very accommodating staff and valuable for money.Special thanks to Ms. Jen for a warm welcome and her kindness to us.

Excellent hotel except for their policy misunderstanding.

I booked 5 rooms with 3 persons/room. Shangrila asked all the names and ages of the minors last July 25, 2025 ( their registration rep. John Sucgang), which I did. When I checked out, late evening of Jan. 06, 2026 with their Erik, their evening representative, everything was settled. As we are leaving Jan. 07,2026, at 3:30 am, their representative, Katrina, asked my wife to pay for my 12 yr old grandson, who was a 3rd person in one of the rooms. Why was this being asked now. We registered everyone when we checked in Jan. 03, and 3rd person was allowed in the original booking with Booking. Com. I have another grandson who was 14. He was not flagged. After arguing this, I have not heard from them.

Convenient location next to shopping malls. Incredible decor throughout. Great choices at breakfast buffet. Comfortable suite

Breakfast buffet can get very busy and guests may have to wait to be admitted. Food in club lounge gets depleted quickly and guests are often staring at empty plates while hoping for some more to arrive from the kitchen.

Very clean and good facilities plus friendly customer staff.

Breakfast was free only for direct booking.

A superlative Christmas Day experience at the Shangri-la. Food and beverages at the Club were fantastic, room was comfortable and well equipped, breakfast was excellent (although as crowded as a pop festival). Made good use of gym and sauna. A great time was enjoyed by all.

Only negative was a delay in checking in the room at 3 pm as it was not ready but at least was able to use the Club in the meantime as had paid extra for that.

Excellent staff, gracefully aging property, still top notch hotel in Manila.

Check in crew accommodated my request for early check in since the room is already available at 1230ish. Mentioned that I have 1pm doctor appointment and they gladly offered the room. Room is clean and comfortable as expected.
