Rockwell Colombo Hotel

Clean rooms, spacious bathroom and very polite and friendly staffs!Check in was pleasant and staff there was always willing to assist you with any queries or trouble you have.

No lift so you got to walk up the stairs (If you get the third floor and you have heavy bags, eeer! - but the staffs do help you)A plug point in the room kept tripping the main switch board so I guess that needs to be fixed

I think the rooms needs to be worked on more and put more effort in the cleaning but overall was ok

The location was good. Staff was friendly.

The hotel closes by 10:30 making it inconvenient to order or stay outside as everytime we have to enter or exit we have to call. There is no privacy in the room as the curtains do not completely cover the window, which means people from down can see you. The bathroom window as well does not have a curtain. We did find a lizard as well in the bathroom and the WiFi does not work at all despite complaining twice.

The room was spacious. The hotel representative allowed one hour late check out.

The room curtain was not sufficient for full privacy. From the bed and the washroom, the roadside was still partly visible because of its small size. The staff mentioned they would replace the curtain soon, which should improve the situation

Waiting for an early check in that was promised and never materialized . At the normal check in time , we received a message that the room was ready but we had already found other accommodation

The hotel accommodated my late arrival. Clean room and bathroom; comfortable room and bed; good A/C; balcony area. The staff was very help, courteous, and attentive. Good, healthy breakfast. Very kind host; provided food outside regular hours when they found I was unwell. Central location - close to shops, launderette, dining locations.

Stay was good; we had stayed only for 2 days since we were to visit other parts of Sri Lanka. Our special thanks to Chithru, who was very very helpful with all information even before we came to Sri Lanka. Very kind and polite person and was always ready to help in addition to suggesting what will work out best for our trip. We planed to visit Kandy as our next stop but he suggested we cancel since it’s super crowded at that time and it turned out that he saved us from trouble cause when we reached Ella, we had a guest telling another guest about the hassle and chaos they had to go through in Kandy and even had to overstay a night since they couldn’t get train tickets.Besides this, even after we checked out, I was still in touch with him to advise us what is a better option and he was ever ready to help with anything so we are really grateful to him for suggesting us and helping us in the best way he could

Staff very friendly, they go extra length to help

After staying for 11 days they don’t allow an extra couple of hours to remain I. Your room as my flight was late in the evening I had to sit in their lobby for 3 hrs.They done have elevator so people with stairs problem had to suffer a lot .You have to eat same breakfast everyday.There is no restaurant so you have to order from outside each time you want to eat .

Great stay for one night in ColomboThe bed was really comfortable. Clean , fresh sheets used. Light and good breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Better / brighter lighting can be used in the bathroom.

Staff friendly. Local shopxs restaurants nearby Manager very knowledgeable & helpful. Nice big room, big bed very comfortable. Lovely towels & bed linen etc.

No lift. Can be a bit noisy with early morning traffic if you're a light sleeper.I suggest taking a room away from the front road. Unfortunately, in my room the Wi-Fi was not strong & difficulty in connecting. Faulty kettle.

there’s no elevator, and the breakfast was shocked me because we was eating in the kitchen and was not clean also the taste is very bad

It's a home stay. Room is spacious, well cleaned with small kitchen facility (only microwave and kettle). Very spacious bathroom. Day time reception service is good. Overall, stay was pleasant.

No utensils are available in the room. We have to ask from ground floor. Forget to give us a blanket and body wash. Then, they give us a dirty blanket, and after some argument they give us a clean blanket. Night time reception person has little idea, if you face any issue. Only english breakfast option is available.
