The staff and service are good. This was a one night stay with my arrival being past 10pm, Sri Lanka time.

Yes, upon touring my room on the 4th floor, noticed a cockroach on the bath floor. I asked the porter to remove it. Management was notified.

Location was great. Our room was quite spacious and comfortable. The service was good.

Our laundry was not delivered on time as promised which delayed us for over 2 hours. There was no hot water on one morning.

Overall, the staff can be a bit more kind and friendly. There were few who were fantastic, but others could learn. The welcome i got when i first arrived felt like i was not needed there. A stark contrast to my stay at tge Marino beach hotel check in experience, where I felt i was wanted.

Very spacious room. Excellent location - 2 minutes walk from Dutch hospital shops and rstaurants.

Breakfast Menu was good but limited. They should think of providing a buffet.

The property is close everything. I walked to Galle face, tuktuk to all other places and local bands at night next door.

We gor the premium room which was so big and comfortablethe bed is comfy , I got deep sleep for couple of hours before my flight homethe bathroom has very hot water the location is perfect near to the mall and the sea the view to the lotus tower is nice

So loud and noise in the street because of the restaurants across the streetthere is a bad smell in the lobby and cooridors which you would notice for sure no matter what. My guess it is because the dining area the kitchen are all together with the reception and lobby

There was a fire accident during our stay. But the hotel staff taken care of the situation very well and provided alternative accommodation immediately which is also very good.

the room rate in booking.com was $59, but actual room rates paid were $72.29. I want booking.com to investigate why the increase in rates.

I arrived over an hour past the 14:00 check-in time, yet I still had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my room to be ready. Despite the spacious room, it showed clear signs of neglect, with peeling paint on the walls. To make matters worse, no one offered to help carry my luggage to the room—a basic service I’d expect from this type of establishment, especially when even smaller hotels in Kandy provide this. The shower was only lukewarm in the morning, despite producing hot water the night before. At check-in, the receptionist neglected to provide the WiFi password, so I had to call back to request it, only to find that the WiFi was practically useless. Neither my phone nor the TV could connect to Netflix or YouTube due to the poor internet quality. Overall, this stay was marked by disappointing service and maintenance issues that fell far below expectations.

The hotel is old, the photos on booking do not correspond to reality. The rooms are dark, there are no lights, you feel like you are in a bad hotel. The price is very high in relation to the quality. The hotel does not deserve 4 stars. Average breakfast buffet provided that there are guests, if there are no guests then a modest breakfast. An additional fee is required for early check-in, there is no possibility of late check-out. Two days before they asked what time we were leaving, it was unpleasant - they wanted to get rid of us from the hotel as soon as possible. The rooms have no ventilation, there is a musty smell. I do not recommend, look for another hotel.

Large rooms.

Excellent place to stay, spotlessly clean, the best matresses in 18 days trip. . We had a problem with some rude and noisy neighbours and the 2 young men in charge promptly gave us another room. ???That was during the night of 17 November. We are very grateful to these employeés.

The location is excellent, right next to the Dutch Hospital and Galle Face Green in walking distance. We used it as a convenient stopover to spend the afternoon and evening before heading to the airport at 11 pm. We received a room upgrade due to the issues mentioned below. The upgraded room was spacious with a good shower.

Check-in was a bit harsh and unfriendly, requested our passports twice without explaining the situation. Our initial room smelled strongly of smoke, despite all rooms being non-smoking. The second room was better, but had been heavily sprayed with air freshener before we could move in.
