Courtyard by Marriott Colombo

Breakfast was amazing. I loved the food and all the options there. I wish I could stay longer

Check-in took a while, I understand early check-in wasn't possible but it took quite a while and there weren't much to do other than waiting and exploring the mall, especially since I was there for an event.

The room/bed was very comfortable. With it being my brother and I staying, we found it sufficient prior to our departure back to Melbourne. The staff were kind enough to expend our check out to 1pm as our flight was at midnight. Overall, the staff made the stay very warm and welcoming. I think I would come again!

I didn't dislike the breakfast, but found the set up a little confusing/jumbled. The bread/sweet, cold foods (cereal/yoghurts), drinks are not within the same area, and you had to go searching for it. I'm only nit-picking, otherwise, it was fine.

Rukshala and her colleagues went over and above to make my stay as comfortable as possible after I had a challenging start in Srilanka with the delay in my bag arrivals

I would recommend a higher level room as I am a light sleeper and my trip coincided with a feast festival it was lovely to experience the celebrations but the good thing is can’t hear anything from neighbouring rooms or corridor

location was good in the sense that it was close to the temples and is on top of a shopping mall, the gym was good

was smelly in the bar area and the elevators

Perfect comfortable rooms with great friendly staff.In room dining is fantastic. Great menu.

Breakfast can be very overcrowded at time. Wait an hour and try again

Among other Marriot Courtyards I have been with is this the lowest ranked. The overall, the rooms, the pool area, beddings and towels in the room was all of poor quality garment, and design, that I have seen in other places in the Marriot chain.The team tuning is the best and very much service minded and attentive.The breakfast and food is outstanding and well made.

Among other 5 star hotels in Colombo - my favorit is still Shangri-La. I’ve tried a few of them for the past 20 years in coming to Colombo.

The room was very very nice the facilities were in great condition.

The breakfast was expensive for what it was. Communication at the front desk was lacking and frustrating at times.

Lovely room, swimming pool with amazing view. Good place for a night after a long flight.

But unclear about having a drink/ eating there (how to go about it/cost). Lots of people come from outside the hotel so very busy and buffet style.

The hotel is in a very central location in Colombo, near all the main attractions. It features a beautiful pool which comes in handy if you want to relax after arriving. The staff was nice enough to allow us to use the pool before our check in time.The breakfast buffet is extremely well stocked with international and Sri Lankan options.

Check in smooth with lovely reception staff. Rooms are beautiful with every amenity you need. Pool is excellent with attentive staff. Very secure and convenient location. Mall includes a food court and supermarket with alcohol section.

Ordering food and drinks on a pay as you go basis seemed to be confusing for the staff. The menu prices weren't up to date. Items from our order were missed so things ended up coming at different and inconvenient times. I think staff might be used to people having buffet food included in their booking, and could benefit from giving pay as you go guests a better experience.

location was great, if you're up for it, lot's to see within walking distance; food was awesome, buffet breakfasts & dinners or, a la carte, extensive menu catering for all desires; cleanliness of room very good, couldn't fault it; gym spacious with good equipment, staff attentive, kept the place spotless; shout out to Ama in the Beira cafe, and room cleaner Lakshan

one staff member in cafe didn't know what French toast was....really?

Clean rooms , good interior

the swimming pool is very cold . The food is bad, better to eat in some good restaurants rather than here. Also you can feel a really bad smell while eating or swimming in the pool , because of the lake .

The room was very clean and modern.

The breakfast didn't meet my expectations. The egg station was good, but the other stations (both asian and western) were not as good as the other hotels where I stay in Asia.I wish the shower had a fixed wall head. The above-head "rain" shower didn't work.

Nothing really

This is a beautiful, clean, comfortable, efficient hotel. While it is your typical Marriott business hotel, the pool, restaurant and lobby bar make it feel more like a holiday hotel. Staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. The hairdryer in the room is excellent.

I can say that stuff very helpful and attentive.

It was my mistake to stay here. I chosen this hotel because it is Marriott, but I was convinced that name of famous brand is not enough for this place. In fact, there is local mini lake in front of hotel, but everywhere was garbage and awful smell (walking around was mistake), even I could feel this smell stay on terrace on 9 floor near pool. Around area very poor, not for walking. Buffet Breakfast, lunch , dinner quite poor.If I knows, I would book hotel near beach. The hotel has bad exchange rate . They don't have change in dollars! For what me roupees, if I going to home today!?

Breakfast not that effcient ..& a few staff as if they are doing us a favour.

Breakfast was lovely. View was great. Bed very comfy.

Shower has no shelf. Water pressure could be better.

The rooms were clean. Location was great (there is a mall next door). Pool is nice

Food options (whether buffet or room service) were not great - could definitely be better considering pricing. The rooms need to be soundproof - you can hear everything that next door is doing which made it difficult to sleep early or sleep in.

The hotel and staff are nice.

We tried breakfast, dinner and high tea at the hotel. Unfortunately food was bad. We tried everything at the buffet, the only ok thing was the omlette. I suggest go eat somewhere else.
