The staff were great, super friendly, and helpful. But that was about it.

The hotel looks nothing like in the pictures. It is old and run down. It is located next to train tracks so don't expect to sleep past 5am because it is so loud. Also there was construction next door and a karaoke bar which went on until 2am.

One of the most unclean hotels I have ever stayed in Even the basics like Air Conditioning was non functional and when told the management had a standard answer¿ we are looking into the same¿ , so I ended up staying only for one night though booked for 2

We took three rooms and all of them were not very clean. Loads of mosquitoes under the beds. There were some patches on mattresses and some sheets.Rooms were not comfortable at allThere were no access gate to the beach unless you go round from the front

Have to be careful about balcony set up and should keep proper toiletries and hairdryer in the washroom. Need to change some towels.

Housekeeping manager Mr Manoj Chathuranga did a good job and managed roomcleaning and commodation very well.

There should be a chairman who is checking always inside and outside the hotel, restaurant, rooms etcThe owners are in responsibilty for investing money in renovation !Guests like this hotel. It should not come down and damaging.

The pool but the pool bar not manned or equipped. The garden well kept. Good laundry service.

The standard of cleaning and general maintenance needs attention. The whole place needs painting, it really did look shabby. The jacuzzi not working and overgrown. Pool side lunch took over 1 hour to arrive, when it did, wrong order. Tablecloths poolside dirty need washing. Kept awake by trains!! Tv not working fridge not checked and switched on.

The location , staff responsive, good food but provide more of some of english food. The room location was very good. Staff make the visitors welcome. Cleaning is up to date.

The ac was leeking the last two days of stay.Did not like when the finished food plates were put on the floor of the walking passage even cats came and ate the remaining food on the same food plate.Use more air freshners to the bath rooms

The location beside the beach provides attractive views and is only marred by passing trains (about one every half hour) but it is otherwise peaceful. An attractive private garden and pool. Easy access to the beach with beach cafes.If you are looking for a modern "western" hotel, this is not for you, but it is generally clean tidy and well presented. Most of the staff understand some English.Good range of local food at breakfast, I particularly liked the fresh fruit.

Not enough "European breakfast food" eg yoghurt, cheese, and cold milk for tea.

the location was perfect .love the view from the room.the food was good the outside bar was perfect

the cleanliness .shower cubicle was really dirty ,specialy the walls.even after requesting for a cleanup they didn't do the cleaning properly.the glasses were full of dust

The location is good facing the beach.Breakfast spread was good. Many choices.

Noisy hotel right next to train line

Very old hotel that requires a lot of work. Inside the lift was very smelly and hot.Nothing mentioned about the hotel being right next to train line. Trains operates throughout the night and due to noise its hard to sleep.

Staff is very kind

Hotel maintenance is poor. Need a bit more work. Train track is near to the hotel .

nice old style hotel right on the beach front. rooms were a good size and comfortable . overall worth a stay. staff were quick to respond and helpful at all times

Food and location are excellent. The staff was very friendly.

The rooms weren't as clean as they could have been, we also had a cockroach in our room. We were moved when we explained what was happening but the room was less clean and dated.

Rooms need renovations and upgrades. Not the best rooms for the price charged. Staff and breakfast was very good.

The room and toilet looks very old and not maintained.

A very bad experience and will not stay there again.

Service was bad. A/C not good. Repair men had to come twice to fix it. The phone in the room did not work despite our request to fix it. The safe did not work. Provided only one towel. I booked a deluxe room but was given a regular room on the ground floor. When complained, I was told there is no difference between the two.
