KOKOL HAVEN RESORT

Breakfast selection was not much, but adequate. Payment was at the counter and there was no need for any deposit.The scenery was awesome overlooking Kota Kinabalu during day and night, as we stayed for two nights. The location was midway to Kundasang, so we took the opportunity to explore Kundasang which took another approximately 2 hours.

Television was just a static photo and when we complained, the technician mentioned that the service was unavailable.There should install a vending machine near the accomodation, because the Cafe closes by 9 pm. No seven-eleven nearby, the nearest town of Manggatal takes more than 20 minutes downhill.The toilet door and toilet seat need to be fixed.

good location, not too far from the city to enjoy staying at the mountains. 40mins journey only. awesome view, can see the sea sunset from the mountains and Mount Kinabalu.

Food can be better. only the fish fried noodle, fish porridge is good. the rest can improve.

The location is superb, great view of Kota kinabalu, from the rear top view , sunset lovers recommend to come over

The food service waiting period takes an hour before we could eat our food , food is not that bad

The majestic sunset and the mountain view from my room was lovely. The receptionists were also very warm and friendly. The room was comfy with all the basic necessities.

There was a youth group event during our stay, and the kids were a bit noisy. But thankfully they quietened down during the night. In terms off sustainability, the resort can consider the use of reusables glass bottles for water instead of the plastic ones.

The staff tried their best and was very helpful. The facilities are old and looks dirty. The bedsheet was stained, the roof leaks terribly at the "chessboard" area, nothing was on TV (only 2 blurry channels working), water heater takes forever to warm the shower water, etc…Dining was a major disappointment. We had to wait so long for dinner as somehow our order was "misplaced". And when my char kueh tiaw finally arrived, it was missing the fried egg. And when the fried egg came, it was over cooked to the extend that it was crunchy. The chicken chop even had burnt taste. The breakfast the next day was terrible. Very limited choice and long wait for refill.The facilities and the food is not worth the stay. For that amount, I expected much better facilities and dining experience.

Hot rain shower did not function.. the staff show us how to use but waiting about 10 minutes still hot shower did not function properly.. water really cold at the top of kokol hill during stay..

Nice place to stay for a short staycation at Kota Kinabalu city area. The view of likas bay is magnificent.

Should have a better restaurant menu.adding more variety of food choice coz the location far from town.and should have a convinient store.for guest at the resort

Breath taking view. The room is spacious and clean.

Staff are very responsive, helpful and accommodating. Truly exceptional.

Very noisy. The Christmas function very noisy until 5am can't sleep at all.

location is nice near to kk. cold weather at night is refreshing. good for short stay

The electricity gets cut off when there is strong winds, hopefully they will inform the guest beforehand they stay

Not worth it

we booked a family room but were transferred to the honeymoon suite due to a ceiling leak in the room. during check-in, we brought food to eat in the room but the employee who was in the restaurant was talking to each other in a rather loud tone and yelled "go after" until other guests heard.. the employee chased us to the stairs of the room and finally left (we won't bring food to the room if there is a notice not to bring food but during check-in at the counter they didn't tell us) and why can't we bring food to eat in the room because we paid a lot to stay there??? the employee disrespected the guest (i told the employee that my food had fly eggs and he just looked and left without saying sorry)...the room was full of ants, the tv didn't work, the fridge was watery and the toilet smelled…the restaurant is too pricey (a can of drinks worth rm12 and they use tenomCoffee that they provide in your room and cost it rm 8??

Environment

The room is dirty. Toilet smelly. Tv not really functioning. Too expensive.

i dont know what to comment on this part.

1. the FO staff did not explain details which building what I stay2. the buggy is complimentary for in house guest, but the receptionist didnt exolain on it.3. there is no signage or map to my room4. my room really dustythe windows, the didnt clean wll. still have spider web. u can see like been a while haven't clean it. and i've to call up the housekeeping to clean it my room. 5. shower area clogged.6. the bed side lamp not working & i wondering, how long they not keep it maintenance?7. tv remove to dusty & phone too dirty. refer my picture.not worthy price that i pay with what i get my room. and no in house guest discount for f&b.walkin guest, you charge entrances fees and normal.price. but it is better you give in house atleast 10% off.

The mesmerizing view..

The quality of food can be improve..It takes time to properly lock the door from inside and outside..Suggest to provide a notes instructions on how to get it done..

the view is awesome, room is clean and tidy and quite.

the cost of food is way too expensive. its not normal.
