Celyn Hotel City Mall

I received the same room that i have had before and i like the fact they accommodated me

room smelled of stale cigarettes

Electrical plug under the table is not helpful especially to boil the water. , no clothing iron available, no available rags to dry your feet after shower, toilet tiles very slippery,

Location, free parking, very close to shopping and food, free wifi

Older facilities and cleanliness could be better

Location, free parking

Old hotel, old facilities

Location

Oily floors, moldy seat, bathroom door wouldn’t close, blanket was abysmal, musty smell in the room and corridors and I have no idea why but only 1 towel was provided in the rooms meant for 2 pax

Location, location, location... we've stayed in Celyn Hotel, City Mall lots of times before, and will continue to stay there in the future. Strong wifi, free parking, near to shopping mall, cinema, entertainment outlets and eateries.

Aircond not so cold, No foot mat for bathroom, please improve on your TV channels.

The location of the hotel is within the building of a shopping mall called City Mall. As expected, almost everything I need is available within walking distance away. This includes a small cinema, bookstore, music store, entertainment outlet, Chinese, Halal and Fastfood restaurants, grocery stores, gadget and electronic shops and what not. Celyn has affordable price for its rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. One elevator available. Free and safe carpark area available as well as paid parking in the basement. Location not far from Kota Kinabalu city centre as well as other public areas like Likas, Inanam, Luyang, Lintas and Penampang. Airport and railway station also not that far away.

Hotel parking is limited and had to park in public places. The rooms are old with lots of wear and tear. Housekeeping and management are not serious in keeping the rooms in pristine condition as there are rooms that not been provided with foot mat outside the washroom, and several times I nearly slipped on the tiles. No air suction inside the washrooms. The flooring, furniture, mattresses inside the hotel rooms are old. Stains on towel, pillowcase and sheets. Dusty curtains. Smokey smells in certain rooms labelled as non-smoking rooms. Old TV with limited channels. Insufficient electrical sockets in the rooms. No breakfast or room service option.

location near eateries, shopping, bookstore, cinema, free parking

dated furnitures

Location, free parking

Dirty and dusty. Housekeeping is terrible. Please improve!

The location is very convenient for shopping and eating.

It's free parking but it's first come first serve, which is actually full pack and jam.

Can’t beat the location with great convenience, easy access to and fro QE and KPJ hospitals.

Stained towels! Felt disgusted and I had no clue it had been washed. Hotel needs to provide brand new ones if washes won’t rid the stains. Air conditioning did not function well, even with 17c setting. Fridge radiated hot heat, suggest it to be switched off if don’t intend to use it.

Spacious room. Attach to shopping mall. Has lift although 3 floor only. Has small fridge. Quiet and comfortable stay.

No floor mat provided to bathroom. Location of socket so hard to connect. Low end of the wall and behind the heavy table. Literally one has to crawl to reach the socket...??

Convenience to stay as near with mall and restaurant

The sheet of bed not that clean however still can improve

It was very clean the moment i stepped in, favourite one is how spacious it is and there is more than enough cabinets to store your things, they also provide 2 cards for the room which for me is very convenient if staying with more than 2 people, free parking is available near the hotel

Great location - it’s in City Mall so there are several of options for food. Staffs were polite, check-in process was smooth.

There was a stain on the blanket. Wi-Fi wasn’t especially fast.

Affordable & Clean

No Porter

The rooms is very comfortable, and because it is situated at city mall, finding place for meal is convenient. We stayed here during CNY (public holiday) so the traffic is not heavy, going everywhere is practically a breeze.

Convenient location , easy access to restaurants and shopping mall, easy to get share rideFriendly staffGood value for money

Sound proof in the rooms aren’t great. We can hear screaming kids running outside our door, people turning on and off light switch next door, the mini fridge in our room was noisy.

clean, receptionist is cheerful.

bell boy on leave. so have to bring bags ownself. Parking is very difficult coz have to compete with shoppers
