The lighting is terrible, kind of spooky. Too dark everywhere, kind of spooky.

Overall great stay, quiet and comfortable and was happy to stay here

Check out time is too early between 12-1pm but if you check out late you will get charged NOT much but mostly hotels will not charge if your flight delay or something different reason

The city with train passing by the window. The bed was comfortable and the AC was cold enough.

The trees outside the room blocked the view and the curtains also blocked the view partially. There should be a rope to bind the curtains so that it won't block the view.

Breakfast, environment and the concept is good/

I liked the interior design of the building and location. Staff is genuine and helpful in the kitchen/dining room . Except during checking/out, the front desk seemed alouf and unable to spend to any request I had during the visit.

Rooms are too tiny to use except to sleep. The chairs in the room actually created a more dysfunctional space by not being able to walk around them . They host events that interfere with regular guest ability to use the facilities which ruined the overall experience of my stay.

Location was good, food was good.

The check in process was way too slow. Shouldn't take that long to issue a room key. But the worst part was the first room we had the AirCon didn't work. The front desk sent up a technician to change the filter and then it started working. But the very next day it stopped working again. A new technician was sent up and he couldn't fix it so they gave us a new room for the night, but even that new rooms AC wasn't working either! This seems like a problem that should be part of the routine room keeping process to ensure all facilities in a room are functional. To have 2 different rooms with non-functioning AC was not okay.

Lovely vibe overall — the warm yellow lighting makes the place feel inviting. The property is well-kept, breakfast has plenty of good options, and the coffee hits the spot. The bar is decent too (the Asam Boi cocktail was a win). Really appreciate the sustainable water bottles — great touch.

The staff at the reception were very friendly and patient. Staff at the restaurant were polite.Door man was very helpful in assisting me to get a car during heavy rainfall.

The room is good, and surprisingly sound proof although the location of hotel in just on the main street ( BONUS point!)Another thing worth shout out: The crew thoughtfully prepare breakfast for me for my early flight, although it's before their shift start. Lot of thanks for the crew!

The Chow Kit hotel is a great place to stay if you’re deep in the city, with a great restaurant/bar downstairs, it makes for a good time to stay short or long! This place will definitely compliment your taste in aesthetics if you’re looking for it.

The room sizes are pretty standard, which makes sense for the location in KL.

Staff, and shower with great pressure of water.

I like the property but just wanted to suggest to add some hook on the wall near the door for jackets, trash bin near the sink, add some toiletries like comb, cotton buds, toothbrush and toothpaste, lotion and hand cream. The TV keeps being taken over by other guests connecting through Bluetooth while watching.

We found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming, particularly the hospitality staff. Sekky and his team were professional, attentive and a great asset to the Chow Kit Hotel.

Our room was at the front of the hotel and despite the sound proofing, the noise from motor bikes at night was quite loud. Next time, we’ll request a room towards the back of the hotel, or bring ear plugs.

I loved the vibe of this hotel; hip, comfortable, great music always playing in lobby, amazing food and drinks in the restaurant... ate breakfast here and one other meal every day because the food was so good. The room was modern and decent sized. I got the one with the view of the train and city. The staff were top notch, professional, young and fun. Good firm bed, great shower pressure, well lit. Location was terrific for walking, and taking the metro. I used Grab mostly because its so cheap. Terrific coffee place next door. Definitely recommend.

The Chow Kit Hotel absolutely surpassed our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful—but what truly stood out was the experience on our second day. I had submitted a special request to have the room refreshed earlier than usual as we were preparing for a pre-wedding shoot in the room before heading out for more photos. To my surprise, a whole team came by—swiftly and seamlessly making up the room with such care and attention to detail. It was more than just housekeeping; it felt like they genuinely wanted to make the moment perfect for us. That kind of hospitality, where a request is met with such effort and graciousness, is rare. Highly recommended for anyone seeking not just a beautiful space, but a stay where you’re truly taken care of.
