Pacific Express Hotel Chinatown

We are very thankful for the early check in. Location is excellent, near a lot of eateries and bus stops.

Carpet has stains and very bad smell. Bathroom ceiling was peeled. But with the price we paid and considering we were only stay for a night, we did not request for a room changed.

Location is always great, located just across of Petaling Street, short walk to nearby Pasar Seni MRT station, 7 Eleven just at ground floor and a local kopitiam just right around the corner to experience a Malaysian style breakfast. Easy to get Grab or any e-hailing rides as 7 Eleven will be your landmark. Receptionist was kind enough to fasten the room availability and happy to help us store our luggages while we wait for check in at 3pm and out exploring.

First of all, the room is the most basic room I have ever stayed in even though the receptionist said it was just a 3 star hotel. Room looks bare, bed is hard and the linens are thin in my opinion. Not a restful stay after spending the day walking around exploring. The shower has a soap dispenser, but no complimentary soap. Asked the reception an extra toilet paper and said cleaner will top it up but we never get it the next day. The traffic noises can be heard at night, so if you cant tolerate that, it might be a turn off for you. Booked a queen bedroom but due to unavailability, was given a 2 double beds room instead. Our mistake was agreeing to the swap as turns out it's not the same. 2 double beds joined together is not comfortable and its awkward.

There is no smokers level. Had to get out of the building even in wee hours....?

Room is clean, comfort. Location is very good. Parking available and accessible.

The frontdesk staff should be more friendly. They should smile to customers. This is a tourism industry not a counter in an office where you need to be serious all the time.

Choose this hotel due to the pacific Express Hotel central market (same management) declined my stay one day before which I booked and paid on Mac 2024 (RM5++ for 3 nights stay.)This hotel has window with no outside viewNo fridgeSo expensive, stay for 2 nights for RM971.63

Location was near to Chinatown, Central Market and Dataran Merdeka. Easy to find food every where. Staffs was very helpful and friendly.

Parking area limited for hotel guests. You can easily miss the junction turning into the carpark area as the parking entrance is located at a very small back alley.

The Staff were friendly and accommodating and allowed my wife to stay their. Before me as my flight was delayed the room was a good size the bed Was Comfortable and the shower and toilet were clean and kept well.

The Walls maybe were a little thin the communcal hallway seened in need of some TLc the onsite cafe had iregualr opening hours.

the location was so convenient in chinatown, there is a 711 beside the lobby for when you need water & snack

It was one of the most horrible experiences I've ever had , after I paid by my card in place , they asked my CVV and card info , it was ridiculous, rooms are too dirty and not ventilationVery bad internet connection, bed was too hard and couldn't sleepYou choose here ,you regret , don't believe me ? It was a very convenient, central location in Chinatown. A good size room. Mine had no window, which at least made it very quiet. As others have commented the carpet had seen better days, both in the room and the corridors, but I didn't find it too bad.

As already mentioned, it was a little musty. I also wish they would provide a bedsheet to cover yourself, as this is all that is needed, but instead they supply a thicker covering. But most hotels in the tropics seem to do this.

ONE ISSUE RE CAR PARK. VERY NARROW, DARK. CENTRE RAISED RD DIVIDERS HARD TO VIEW AS YELLOW PAINT WORN OFF. CARS CAN EASILY RUN INTO THEM. TRAFFIC FLOW ARROWS (DIRECTION) PAINTED ON WRONG SIDE OF WALLS HENCE TRAFFIC FLOW GOING IN TO/OUT OF CARPARK IN REVERSE TRAFFIC DIRECTION.

what I like here is the location which is close to the art market, the Indian mosque is also close and the man who served us at check in

We put up a sign saying our room wanted to be cleaned but we didn't see any housekeeping at all during the stay. Then if we're not mistaken... the deposit is MYR 100, but this morning we got MYR 50... because we were in a hurry to go to the airport, so we didn't really pay attention or ask about it.
