The Barracks Hotel Sentosa by Far East Hospitality

Beautifully done building. Quiet location but very close to the sentosa express. Even it’s on the island public transport is still accessible. The staff was super friendly and professional. Great breakfast and afternoon canapés. My wife even got some souvenirs from them.

The location is convenient to go to the Palawan beach zone. It’s also easy to catch the train. There is a 7/11 next door. If you want to be in Central Singapore, it’s not the place.

The balcony are little hot to stay. A fan would be welcome. The variety of choice in the fridge could be better as well as some snacks.

Excellent service, special note to Nizam and JJ that made our stay extra special by being so caring towards our little one.

We had an amazing delighted experience in The Barracks Hotel Sentosa, a private yet cozy stay. Spent the most beautiful weekend getaway for my son's 7th year birthday! A big thank you to the team who had attended to our special request. ☺️

Everything was amazing!?

Location fantastic on Sentosa. The short walk from the room pool. The lounge offered complementary drinks (including fizzy drinks in mini bar) and snacks throughout the day and then free flowing beverages and canapés from 4-7. History of the hotel was fascinating along with the sensitive furnishings.

Dark rooms with no day light. Limited breakfast options (in variety and quantity) that needed to be ordered the day before. Service was lacklustre at breakfast including having to ask for cutlery and no one anticipated our needs, such as taking coffee cups away but not asking if we would like another one….. They didn’t provide turn down service each night so had to ask for more water and clean towels. The interconnected rooms were connected via a ‘private’ staircase that was outside. Not fully private as other guests could get to the stairs so kids had to be locked in overnight for safety and security. Hotel stored luggage after our check out but store is open to the elements so 2 of our bags got completely wet including the bag with our plane clothes in. Quite expensive Suite left me feeling underwhelmed by the service received along with the Value For Money and unlikely to stay again despite the location.

No buffet breakfast and not many in-house facilities

Breakfast was ok, but choice is limited & you have to order the day before and confirm the time you want breakfast as this hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant facilities, so the food is cooked in the sister hotel on the same large site.

Breakfast was phenomenal and the location was near all the major sites on Sentosa.

Do note that when booking through Booking.com for 2 adults and a 6 years old kid all three of you need to sleep on a single bed even though the number of persons was explicitly mentioned at the time of the booking. The staff was helpful and arranged a mattress on the floor which was not great, not still we did not have to sleep all together on a single bed.

The property was beautiful, calm and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were fabulous, the towel art was great and the food was amazing.

Great place, grate people, great service and great atmosphere!From our arrival to our departure everything exceeded our expectations and we would be ready to come back at any time in the future!People like Emily, Lily and Chao Hong and all others made us to feel like being at home.

There was nothing which we did not like.But we would like to make one proposal for possible further improvement ... so if possible it might would be a good change to make the pool on the "right hand side" to be "Adults Only Pool" so that the people who would like to enjoy nice quiet time in the pool could stay on that side and families with children on the "left hand side".

I like everything in The Barracks Hotel ;1. Pre-check in procedure explained details through Whatsapp from the staff named Azwan. On the check in day, He was welcoming us patiently and he was really helpful (Pardon we forgot to give him some tips) with this review I will recommend you as the best staff in The Barracks Hotel.2. Space on the room is not spacious, but the interior design made it perfectly with limited space they can maximize the function for each room. Room has vintage theme but the vibes was not spooky at all. Also the soundproof door was worked perfectly, in that night a party around the hotel was aloud when we sit in the balcony, but when we were going inside in the room was so quite. Good Job.3. Ambience of the hotel was so peaceful to enjoying sunset and sunrise4. Restaurant was surprisingly great, the staff and the food was good.

Suggest to check regulary for the chair around the pool that mostly because of bird droppings

Lovely hotel, very intimate as only 40 rooms. It was quiet and secluded. The pools were perfect! Enjoyed the complimentary cocktail hour and their accompanying food bites. The drinks were well made.The breakfast needs some improvement.The English breakfast option was great!We had the Grenola, fruit, and yoghurt combination, which was not as expected.We had the pastries that were not good. The gym, however, was located in another hotel which wasn't ideal.

The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble and they were proactive with anticipating every need. The property and facilities were very clear and spotlessly maintained.

A wonderful hotel. An Oasis of calm. The swimming pool areas in particular are beautifully laid out and are very relaxing areas. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are excellent with a good choice of local and western options. The canapés and cocktails in the afternoon were excellent and greatly enjoyed. However, what sets the hotel apart is the outstanding customer service. Nothing is too much trouble. The service is always delivered with charm and grace.

We had a great peaceful day in busy Sentosa. Everything was beyond our expectations especially the happy hour and breakfast at the poolside which we loved the most.

They serve excellent food and drinks. The staffs are very cordial. The room is very comfortable.

I won’t call it value for money because there is absolutely no view other than the pool. The pool is very boring, my condominium pool in Singapore is larger than this hotel’s pool. They did allow to use the pool of village hotel next door which was a saviour otherwise my daughter would have been very bored. There is also no kids activities. There were no toiletries kept near the bath tub and the ones kept in shower were locked . I am all in support of using reusable bottles for toiletries but locking them in the shower in a 5 star hotel is strange. And there is no mirror in the room other than the face mirror.

We booked a one-night stay to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and without a doubt, this has been the best hotel experience we’ve ever had—both locally and abroad. From the moment we arrived, Adikin and his team provided outstanding service that was warm, attentive, and proactive. They struck the perfect balance between being genuinely friendly while also allowing us the space to enjoy our time together.Even our seven-month-old son adored them, which speaks volumes about their warmth and hospitality. We typically aren’t big on staycations, but this experience has genuinely made us consider making it a family tradition for birthdays.And here’s the kicker—I’m writing this review before we’ve even checked out! That’s how impressed we are. Thank you, Adikin and team, for taking such wonderful care of us. We’ll definitely be back!
