Location and free drinking water

Rooms are not kid friendly, bathtub is too high, had very little water pressure for shower, sink is too high, room service did not do a good job cleaning the room.

Location and overall good value.

The bottled water provided in the room is very bad. It has a strong chemical smell. I cannot say if it is harmful but it is not drinkable. This is my only complaint about this otherwise excellent hotel.

The location.

Room are not yet prepared though there is an additional bed for a third person. Still they we wait for them to clean the room and the toilet.

you promised a $100 dollar refund if I requested the credit card...visa...and I did not receive it...can you check it out and let me know..otherwise I will return the card

Great stay! Great location - just feet from an MRT station. Great helpful staff! They helped us take our luggage to the room, gave us great ideas of things to do in the city and places to eat. They also called us a taxi when we were ready to leave.

The bed was not very comfortable. It was very hard! The pillows were overstuffed.

Room.is old but certainly equal to what you are paying.

Comfortable, spacious, restful. Staff was courteous and friendly.

The shower gel was not topped up, but minor quibble as it's easily rectified. Nothing of particular note - I'm easily satisfied. Picky travellers can choose branded establishments, but if you're looking a simple and restful stay in the heart of the city with easy access to amenities and transportation: look no further. Do note that value is relative, but for me i got what I paid for so I'm very happy.

Beds were quite hard and basic facilities. Great location though and staff very friendly.

Hotel has no vibe. Kind of dead and abandon feeling. It needs a refurbishment especially toilets etc. perfect location and must have been a nice hotel in its hey day. Nice hotels around with less money.

Location in front of MRT station. Many restaurant and 7-11 in walking distance.

Having travelled internationally for many years; I felt that there could have been better value for the money paid, the staff could have been friendlier, only one pillow per bed, no milk or sugar provided for the tea/coffee, rooms could do with some upliftment (very old curtains etc.).

Location, very close to Bencoolen MRT. We had booked a standard twin but received a free upgrade to a superior twin. The room was very spacious and clean. They let us check in early. Staff very helpful. The area next to reception with tea/coffee/water is a nice touch.

The curtains as the part that covered the window were voile, the heavier fabric ones were just decorative so you could not pull them together at night.

Old, dark, cold, tired, bored staff, weird breakfast arrangement, dull place, in need of renovation.Having said all that - everything worked, nothing out of order

My go to hotel in Singapore - location is perfect with the Bencoolen station right outside the hotel, Bras Basah station across the street and Dhoby Gaut station just a 5 min walk. The twin room is quite spacious and has all the amenities of a comfortable stay, including a bath tub. There is a food court at the Lazada One building across the street, that opens early and closes at 9pm, but please grab a Nasi Lemak at a michelin reviewed stall just 2min walk from the hotel at the right side. Will stay here again next time, maybe for F1

There are steps leading to the lobby so you have to lug your suitcase, there are no ramps. The front desk staff are quite ready to help though, but just a note for mobility-challenged guests.

Location, Location, Location. The hotel is situated directly opposite the MRT station on the main Downtown line - Everywhere is easily accessible. The staff were also very obliging.

After a full day of sightseeing, I was hoping to put my feet up and relax in front of the TV… but, to my disappointment and surprise, the ONLY English Channel was a Singaporean news channel. Cable needs to be invested as many English speakers pass through the hotel. Little luxuries go a long way. The bath didn’t retain water so a shower was the only option. No flannels provided.
