The AC made a high pitched whining and whirring noise. The loud beep beep beep beep of the lift while the staff was putting up christmas lights in the early morning right outside my room. The slippery white paint on the street where I had fallen.

Classic low rise country house feel. Two outdoor pools Excellent breakfasts included in the deal. Free fast internet, both wired in the room, and wifi throughout the hotel. Hotel was quiet and peaceful, whilst being very near Orchard Road shopping cen

Not worth it.

Pretty low value for money. Service was average. When asking for cart in rain to come to reception, waited 30mins and they still hadn't sent, then they forgot so walked instead.

Very comfortable and friendly staff! Hotel is well maintained, in good shape and seems to be renovated recently. Amenities in the room are good. There are several restaurant options which are really worth it. Perfect location on walking distance near two metro stations, bus stop and the ION mall.

The AC in the bedroom needed a filter cleaning as it was not working properly due to dust buildup.

The room was great. Nice size and great refurbishment since the last time I stayed here. Location good- far enough away from Orchard Road but easy to walk to. Pool areas terrific.

I requested a ground floor room (preferably onto a courtyard) as i was staying 5 days and intended spending a lot of the time at the hotel. I chose the hotel because of the pool areas.I was given a 3rd floor room with no real windows. (the hotel- for some reason has put frosted glass panels over all the windows overlooking the drive-in). It looks impressive when driving up, but awful when you get into the room.

Location is good, room is big enough and quite comfortable.

The house keeping didn’t do turn down bed.. I stayed 2 nights, they didn’t do at all.

It’s an historical property, way older than me. And normally it’s call “old” yeah literally old buildings…Staying there more likely gosh buster experience rather than historical experience!

After a long journey from Europe (on our way to Jakarta) we decided to take 2 nights in Singapore. The Goodwood was a brilliant choice. Originally I chose it because it isn't high-rise, and this is something we really appreciated when we got there. It was just nice to have ground level pools surrounded by normal height buildings, even though some high-rise buildings could be seen. In addition the staff were wonderful, very helpful and friendly, everything is immaculately clean, the breakfasts were delicious with a wide selection of food, and the location near Orchard Ion mall meant the shopping is excellent. For sightseeing the mall is over a MRT station so it's easy to get around. Would definitely return.

Some of the building was undergoing renovation so we didn't get to see the whole thing. This didn't affect our stay at all but it would have been interesting to see more of the old part.

Excellent service and great location. Room was spacious and clean.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The location was excellent, and the food was great. The swimming pool and gym were also well-maintained and enjoyable.The property is housed in a beautifully maintained, historic colonial building. There’s an excellent Japanese restaurant called Tatsuya located near the main entrance — it offers top-quality sushi, though it is quite expensive.

I stayed at Parklane Apartments, but the drying function of the washing machine wasn’t working. It was an older model, and unfortunately, they weren’t able to repair it during my stay.

I love the history of the hotel, the spacious older rooms with balconies, the gardens and the 2 wonderful pools.

The carpet in the room needs thorough cleaning.

The hotel felt a bit dated for a five star hotel, eg carpet, swimming pools. There was facade renovation works while we were there.

Beautiful, historic hotel in a great location just off Orchard Road so it's quiet and the gardens are lush and large. The pool is probably the largest in Singapore and is perfect on a hot. steamy day. Staff are brilliant. Apartments where we stayed are spacious for a longer stay.

The hotel is a little tired and needs an update. The pool is great but there are not enough lounges, there is no poolside menus or service, there are no showers or changerooms anywhere near the pool, and the outdoor areas could do with some freshening up - put a bar or a little cafe out there - there's plenty of space. We stayed in the Park Lane apartments (attached to the hotel but behind the car park) which are really spacious but very outdated - especially the lighting and the furniture.

Interesting heritage property in great location near Orchard Rd and public transport. Sadly front part of building is being renovated so is under wraps but everything else was great. Nice big pool.

the room was great- very large, very comfortable. lovely little kitchen and lounge area. everything was clean and the servicepeople were very accommodating.

The bathroom as also very nice except the shower was over the bath. Little difficulty for older people. but still O.K.
