Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel

The Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel is exceptional. Of particular note - the staff who were incredible, and we loved the design of the hotel and services available. Our room was very comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay.

The Chinese restaurant We have booked a room with two tables to host a family reunion. The menu was a set menu. First of all, the service was unacceptable. A hotel restaurant told the guest to leave when is only 9pm saying that they are going to close. Also part of the reason was the fish dish were bring in very late.When are book and paid for the table, it was almost like 30000 NT, they should mentioned that the restaurant will be close at 9pmAlso if they are so strict about their closing schedule they should be also prompt on bring out the dish with consistency. Instead we are waiting for the fish for a very long time.Also, at 8:57 the waitress told all of us including all of our guests that the restaurant is going to close at 9pm. It was very rude and embarrassed in front of all of our guests. What kind of service is that??One of our guess bring a small child he is only 8 years old when the dessert is served we ask the waitress to give the small child extra jello and the waitress said they can only provide 10 as the menu is only for ten people. I was shocked to hear what she said. Is ok not to give but what kind is service that. Also. we can easily pay for it but the service people humiliated us again in front of our guests The waitress don’t change plates until we ask them to do so. Ten guests per table and is serving different dishes in a Hotel Banquet room not changing plates???we are not eating street food.I am very disappointed and would not recommend the restaurant to anyone

Spacious, clean, comfortable and stylish rooms. And there was a gym. Also, the staff was nice.

Breakfast buffet was not very good in regard to a healthy, Western diet. And the dinner buffet wasn’t very good either, especially given the price. Also, streaming services (like Netflix) were not available on the room TV.

The room was bright, the bed was comfortable, and the isolation was good. We used the gym twice and it was also super bright, clean and empty.

It would be nice to have more affordable dining options

- Room was clean and comfy. Staffs were friendly and pretty helpful and timely (when we said the shower temperature was very unstable they sent ppl to come up to check for us immediately).- They compensated us a box of sweets for the shower issue we experienced the day before, which was pretty nice.

I was a bit let down with the breakfast though.I stayed with Renaissance Taipei before the pandemic which was a few years ago, i remember it was much better.Food wasn't very fresh (for exmaple the smoked salmon)Egg dishes was pretty perfunctory (the egg benedict was almost unflavoured??)Porridge was cold, not hot and not even warm.

Loved the pool and the room was very comfortable. Also the staff were very professional and lovely to deal with.

The breakfast was ok but nothing special. The best section was the egg station where the chefs would make omelettes/poached/fried eggs to order.

A very pleasant stay at Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel! Staff were very nice, friendly and efficient. View from hotel was definitely amazing as what you could see was loads of trees and plants from your room. Would love to stay here again for my next trip in Taipei again.

great pool for swimming (25 meters)

The gym is too small and has no good equipment. The breakfast was really bad.

The location was reasonably close to the Shihlin Night Market.

Breakfast was not included and we were charged more via Booking.com than what was available through other sites. I also woke up with facial hives several days in a row due to a pillow issue.

Excellent facilities, helpful and friendly staff, very comfortable rooms very good communication feel like home away from home

They do not change bed sheets so I have to keep requesting every day to change bed sheet

swimming pool was great

the drainage was broken in the bathroom even though has been fixed once when we checked in at the first night.

the location is superb and everything is spectacular

we booked the hotel because of the rooftop swimming pool which turned out to be closed during our stay. We were only notified while checking in.

The location, near the park. It’s peace and tranquil.

Room 815. The desk by the window is far too big and doggy chair. The desk light failed after day 2 of my stay. Apart from that, it’s very good hotel to stay. Bed id very comfortable.

No lights in balcony. Can hardly enjoy the night there.
