Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei

Close a proximity to the subway. Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly.

I am giving this assessment base on it being a four stars hotel: No staff member at the door upon arrival, no pool, included breakfast was mediocre at best, and the windows in our room was completely shut and shaded with zero view.

Comfortable room with much space. Abundant and varied breakfast. Very attentive staff. Very close to the public Metro system.

We stay here every year. This year we’re let down by the bellman. We tipped him every year but this time we just got off the plane and didn’t have any cash in hands, so I was planning to tip him when we checked out. When we’re ready to checked out, he gave us a face with very rude attitude because we didn’t tip him when we checked him. So just because of that I decided not to give him any cash even though I had it in my hand. As a customer, we’ll tip when we’re happy with your service but not because we’re worried that you’re going to give us a face, so we have to tip you. It’s not going to work like this, my friend. He for sure needs more training on that.

There's nothing that i didn't really like but i suggest you consider adding more choices at the breakfast buffet.

The location is very convenient with bus and train stations are just a short walk away. Very nice hotel and the staff are friendly, courteous and super helpful whenever you need them. The breakfast menu selection is great ?. We enjoyed our stay at Evergreen very much and definitely will stay here again when we return to Taipei.

Very nice hotel with helpful and kind professionals! Our room was beautiful! The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated having an electric kettle and tea selection in our room, as well as robes and slippers. The bathroom was beautiful with double sinks, a separate soaking tub, and a beautiful shower. We also appreciated the assistance getting taxis from the doorman. Check in and check out we're very easy. Very professional and I would love to stay here again!

I am sure that when construction is over, it will be delightful to see out the window windows again! Also, we would appreciate lotion in the bathroom.

Great location! Just 5 minutes from the green/yellow metro intersection, with several bus stops right at the entrance. Also close to multiple 7-Eleven and FamilyMart stores. Spacious room with a large bathroom and double sinks. Breakfast was diverse and tasty, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

No outside view due to facade construction. For a five-star hotel, some basic amenities were missing, such as body lotion and hair conditioner.

It is an old-fashioned hotel (the facilities are old but well-maintained and the uniform of the staff is traditional). The room is spacious, the bed is firm (which I prefer), the quilt is comfortable, and the location is convenient, just 200 meters from the train station, and the staff are very nice.

The carpet looks a little bit dirty. It needs to be deeply cleaned. No gym and no swimming pool.

The lobby is beautiful and welcoming. The room and the bathroom were spacious. Staff were very helpful & friendly. They had coffee in the morning on week days along with ice cream and congee in the afternoon and evening. The location was fantastic. There were couple of bus stops within few minutes of walking. The MTR was 8 mins walk. There was a 7-11, Family mart and a Starbucks within 2 mins walk and a great breakfast place (4 + breakfast) within 2 mins walk.

The hotel breakfast seemed a bit more expensive for the choices available. The only made to order items available were omelette and sunny side up egg.

Great Location. Even though the building is under construction, I did not hear it at all during my stay.The staff were friendly and attentive, and my room was wonderful. I Would definitely stay again!

Nothing. I like a mattress that is on the firmer side so the bed was great for me. If someone prefers a soft mattress then this one would not be great for them.

The service was great. I didn’t have to open the door for myself. The staff spoke English, and they explained to me various things like operating the elevator with patience. The room itself was very comfortable. Everything was clean. The pillows were great. The WiFi was blazing fast.

I couldn’t find a thing to dislike.

Location is the best, breakfast is the best, room is so clean and nice. The stuff are so friendly and work so hard. If I visit taiwai again, I will definitely stay again.
