Royal Rose Hotel Ximen

Well kept, staff helpful (though some's English is marginal), room as described in pictures, lighting fixture plentiful,

Coffee machine not working properly. Some construction noise by neighbor occurred around 8:20pm on our first night, but stopped soon after our complaint.

Location of this Hotel was fantastic, we were walking distance to everything, It was so easy to find places to eat, multiple train stations and great places of interest, would strongly suggest you choose this little hotel that was quiet and comfortable.

The bed is comfortable.

The overall atmosphere is much darker than the photos online. There's a musty smell in the lobby, and I also found mold around the sink in the bathroom! There are always water stains on the table in the room that won't wipe clean.

Location was right in the heart of ximen. 10mins away from the night market and the MRT station

Great option for staying in Taipei. It’s a good location - right in Ximen, easy walk into the pedestrian market area, but not too loud at night. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The first floor has reception, free snacks (noodles, drinks, chips, etc), water dispenser, and laundry machine - $50NTD for washer, $10NTD for 10 minutes of dryer. Rooms are pretty spacious for Taipei - aka small but with enough space to open your suitcases. Nice shower, and the bed is pretty firm. They kindly let us check in about 30 minutes early and relax in the lobby for an hour or two before then, as we got in early after a rough red eye flight. The slippers they provide are really nice!

The wifi goes in and out - there are 2-3 networks on each floor, so you can usually find one that works. The pillows were very thin

The room allotted was compact, all have windows but with no view or overlooking. The adjoining back entrance of another hotel, consider as no view. The location is good, ten minutes walk to the MRT, 24 hours check in and a cute outpost for noodles and cookies etc for guests with a microwave. Water bottles provided, no toiletries but essentials provided and hair dryer.

A very nice stay there, in a room without window (be prepared but perfectly fine !)The people are so so nice

This hotel location was great! So close to ximending market and all the shopping there. Plus close to public transportation. The room was huge and the bed was actually so comfortable. It was a king bed which was a huge bonus. The staff was super nice also. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location with friendly staff and great accommodations. It might not seem there’s hot water but run it for at least 3 minutes then you’re set.

Friendly staff, nice location, MRT is near by the hotel. Price was totally okey!! We would recommend it and book it again.

The staff were lovely.Laundry facilities were reasonably priced.Proper bathroom not a wet room.We enjoyed the snacks in the lobby area. Was really good location for Ximending.711 across the road. Lots of places to eat, next door and down the street. Massage nearby too. Fruit and vegetable shop about 10 m away.Would definitely stay again.

We found it difficult to regulate the temperature in the room, a flat sheet on the bed would have helped with this.

The heater is not working well. Sound isolation is not really good.

The little lounge area with free flow of instant noodles, water, coffee and snacks is great for those traveling in groups.

The location was absolutely fantastic, closest metro is about a ten min walk but you’re right in one of the best neighbourhoods in the city. Staff are very friendly and rooms are really spacious. Free snacks and washing machine / dryer is a big plus!

Super local. Easy to get to.Place was clean. Internet was great.Comfortable to sleep and good resources.

Asked for access to the laundry room and was told to go to the hostel next door..Then the next day I found the laundry room on the ground floor. Not sure what happened there but a bit annoyed that I had to travel so much further than needed.

Bed was soo comfy, very good shower, good location in Ximen, has washing machine to do laundry, there is a tv with Netflix and YouTube

The window did not look out on the street in did not let in natural light as it was the back of all the buildings
