amba Taipei Zhongshan

Comfortable rooms with comfy bed, pillows, nice shower and very clean. Suited our stay in Taipei very well. Close to metro, shopping etc. Easy to commute around Taipei via metro, bus, taxi . We particularly liked the downstairs cocktail bar attached to the hotel …..like descending into another world! Relaxed surroundings, jazz and excellent cocktails.

Noisy, from outside but even next door - hole hear the guest next door sneezing, and they weren’t doing it so loud. Staff was a bit blasé, hardly an acknowledge you. Breakfast very simple and the restaurant was freezing cold…

Amazing location - 5mins walk to Zhongshan MRT. Property was right smack in the bustling Zhongshan district, but was sufficiently peaceful. Bright, cozy interiors with very friendly housekeeping staff

Mattress was too bouncy. Pillow was too flat for a restful sleep. Reception staff were business-like (neither friendly or rude) - Perfunctory would sum up the general reception Staff’s service.

it's good and value for money

There are no hangers in the shower, don't know where to put the towel or clothes. And the pillow are too soft .

The room was very comfortable. Clean and spacious enugh. The hot shower was nice. There were good local breakfast shops near backroad.

Hotel was clean, even though the room was small, it had all it needed. The staff were kind, they even mailed me back a piece of clothing I left behind in the room. Nice location, walkable to the major stations and malls.

There is no real curtain that blocks the light from the big window. Only a semi-white see-through blind. I was very annoyed because there was a construction site right outside the building/ our room window. The hotel was good but this was such a big issue for me. They also did not allow any early ( like 30 mins early) check in. We arrived at 2:30pm and literally waited on the street for 30 mins. But I guess this is an understandable policy. It gets cold at night, but there is no heating. But that is the same for every hotel in Taipei I presume.

The location is everything! I personally love this area so the hotel location is ideal for us. You still need to walk around 8 mins to the nearest subway but this doesn't bother us -- we also love walking. The room itself is lovely. The size is decent. And it is pretty clean. I would recommend this hotel!

Cannot think of anything besides there is no proper dropping on/off area for a car. No big deal tho if you only use subway.

Have been staying in this hotel for a few times, basically the location is perfect, it is in the middle of everything and it is quite clean. Love the convenience that I may order souvenirs of different brands through the hotel and all items can be delivered and packed in a box ready for the flight home.

The toilet, no privacy;The breakfast can be a lot better with more varieties of food;Not much of amenities available.

The facilities were great, big room space, loved the fact that their electrical outlets are international ports.

Would be good to permit guests after check out to use a shower as many international flights depart late at night. Even if charged a small fee, the service would be appreciated.

Staff is very helpful. Room is clean. Although I was worried about the noise from the street, the sound proof was excellent even I stayed 2nd story.
