Sotetsu Grand Fresa Taipei Ximen

First is location, Hotel locates in popular area and MRT station is in front of the hotel which is very convenient. Comfy bed and clean, Big bathroom, Toilet. Generally nice place to stay. Hotel cost is acceptable for this rate star hotel.

Some simple thing which is not costly hotel that much but they don't have. For instance a bottle of water. Just for small one no need to have a big one but the don't have it for guests. That was only one issue I felt.

The hotel provides little amenities for all guests. It was a great location with good value.

I suggest to add a hand soap in the toilet area.

Great location, walking distance to markets, train station. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was nice to have the free vacuum sealing machine to help with packing large items for our travels!

The laundry machines were limited and the digital controls were not working during my stay.

Great location, next to the metro station and across the road from Ximending district.

Not a lot of choice for breakfast downstairs in the separate cafe.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is great, Everything within 5 to 10 mins walking distance. The room is great. The only thing I am not happy with is the breakfast. I was expecting buffet breakfast, hotel engaging the restaurant downstairs and it was like few sets for you to choose from. I think this should highlight when we do reservations so that we are aware and decide should we include breakfast in our bookings. Another thing is when we checked out, it was heavy rain and we arranged car to pick us up. We were asking Hotel permission can the car pick us in the hotel car park but the car park was managed by 3rd party and it will required the 3rd party agreement before the car can pick us so that we will not get wet. Unfortunately, we were not able to find the person in charge and the car pick us outside the hotel where there is no roof and we all get wet despite with umbrellas

The breakfast was under restaurants downstairs and not the buffet type. And the sets we can choose were mainly western types. We were expecting the Taiwanese / Oriental type of breakfast. If this is not the usual type of breakfast we expecting, it should listed or stated in the sites before we do bookings to include breakfast or not.

breakfast was not good since it is not buffet it is set dish and not too much choice. stay for three nights but skipped for two nights and eat out instead.

Location is the best and sfaff is very nice. We can ask staff to clean room every day. It has key card for security.Room is very clean.

Everything is so new, clean and comfortable. More importantly the setting is minimalist Japanese setting. It's definitely worth staying. The price for Mid Autumn Festival long weekend however is too expensive. Regardless if you ever come to Taipei and wish to stay in Ximending. This is an awesome selection. It's walking distance to everywhere. It's just next to Ximen MRT exit station.

Sotetsu Grand Fresa Taipei Ximen location was superb! MRT was just next to it and 7-11 was besides too. And walking to 西门町 was so convenient! Staffs are friendly too. Happy stay! I love the shampoo & conditioner & shower provided by the hotel.

The choice of breakfast was limited to 4 selections. Out of 4 selection, my boy & I only like 1 of them hence, we skip breakfast for the rest of the days although I have paid for breakfast. But the serving was good and breakfast taste was good. Is just me that is being fussy.

The hotel was right next to a few subway exits which was very handy. Check in was easy and quick by using the self check in machine in the lobby. The lobby also provided amenities which was nice. The room was spacious and vey clean. Not much of a view from the room as it looked over a construction site but we were only in the room to sleep so it wasn't an issue for us (didn't notice construction noise either even though the hotel did warn us about it prior to our arrival).

The room was beautiful and very clean and location is perfect.

None that we did not like just add more choices on the breakfast menu.

Great location, right next to the MRT and downtown Ximen district.

Unfortunately the first night our room filled with the smell of cigarette smoke, despite it being a non-smoking hotel. The staff were helpful and moved us to a new room the following morning.

Perfect location, right by the MRT station and the Ximending Night Market. Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and smell great. 10/10.

Clean room with comfortable beds. We loved having a Japanese style toilet with bidet.

The towels were poor quality. The overall room and accommodations felt like 4 star, but the towels felt like they were from a 2 star motel, very rough and thin. Would have been nice if the towels were more plush.

Location was perfect, facilities were good and clean.

Internet was super slow, we had our room internet fixed but still experiencing slow internet during our stay.

Centrally located, easy to access by metro as well as by bus. Room is minimalist but impeccably clean. We had sound sleep despite overlooking the main street.

Some of the front desk personnel was courteous but a little bit cold.

Too much emphasis on high tech stuff. WiFi was a bit spotty.

The room was spacious and clean. Everything is new and up to today’s standard, smart TV, fast internet. The location is really great just 1 min walk from Ximending Walking Street and also 1 min from MRT Ximen which easily great choice for traveling around the city.

If you are sensitive to the noise you might need to consider, the sound from the street below is always there (though it more quieter at night) but the hotel also provides earplugs for free as well.If you don’t mind that, the rest are good.
