New City Hotel

Location is great and the staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating. Will definitely book again.

I liked the size and comfort of the two twin beds in our room and how the two rooms we purchased were right next door to each other. I liked how the hotel let us keep our luggage in the lobby after checkout so that we could pick up our luggage later that day.

The AC/heater in our room did not work. We would constantly try to turn the heater on but the temperature would not increase in the room. Eventually we decided to just turn off the AC/heater so it would stop blowing cold air into the room. The bathtub did not feel secure to stand in while showering and the bathroom felt small in general. There was not a lot of counter space in the bathroom.

Perfect location and everything that you need! There’s free snacks and drinks in lobby were the best! Will def stay here again if I visit Taiwan. The AC here is strong, very nice and clean place

Bed was super comfortable, great curtains to keep the room dark for sleeping. Lots of local and chain restaurants nearby (KFC, McDonald’s), and an excellent boba tea shop. Within a block of metro station.

Bring noise ear plugs, right across from Hospital so ambulances all night long. They provide free snacks but the snacks are all the same thing and you’d have to be desperate to eat them more than once. It’s a perk you won’t use. Also, they have a high sided claw tub in the bathroom, if you have mobility issues with your legs/knees this is not a good option for you.

Very clean and nice accomodation. Not balcony, but I really appreciated outside seating in the back of the hotel - if you are smoker, there is not much possibilities in hotels in Taipei, so this is good option for you. Otherwise it is very hotel-wise, not really cosy, but if you don’t mind that type of the accomodation, it will be ok for you.

The location is near to Mrt station ,like less than 5 minutes walk There is a coffee machine at the reception area. They also provide some snacks.

The shower area is a bathtub. The toilet floor is wet all the time and gets messy

Friendly staff, great location, clean and comfortable. Pillows were a little tough on the neck.

Great location, very near to transit and a cool shopping district. Despite being next to a hospital, it was quiet. The staff were nice and there were free snacks in the lobby.

The room was fine, didn't love that the TV blocked the window and the windows were a bit grimy. The bathroom drain spat water when showering so everything was wet all the time.

The location of the hotel is great, the staff is friendly, there is snacks and coffee for free at the lobby. The rooms were OK to sleep in.

We found many mosquitos in the room and at night they bit me many times, although the window could not be opened. Also, the window had this pattern and it was impossible to see the view outside - very strange.

The hotel's location is very strategic, making it easy to access major attractions and transportation.The receptionist and staff were friendly and welcoming, which made my check-in process smooth.The facilities were good, offering everything I needed for a comfortable stay.Service responses were quick, and any requests I had were addressed promptly.

The room was located right beside the lift, which resulted in a lack of privacy and some noise throughout my stay. This was a bit distracting and made the room less comfortable than I had hoped.

Location, many food stalls and a morning market, Shuanglian MRT, all within short walking distance! Staff were helpful and patient, room was clean.

Only 1 washer and dryer. But hotel staff did explain it was a service for guests’ convenience as the nearest laundromat is about 10 mins walk. They are not charging a high price for it. I appreciate it nevertheless.

I liked everything! The location was great, the value for money, and the staff are all professionals and polite. The lobby offers free snacks, tea, and coffee. There’s also a complimentary washer and dryer, with only a 100 NT charge for detergent. Since we left early, we needed a car service, and the price was reasonable.

There was no window but I knew it before I booked.

We came to visit Taipei for the first time and this hotel was great. Had everything we would need for our stay. Filter water downstairs with hot, warm and cold water. Tons of coffee options as well as tons of free snacks. The beds were comfortable, everything was really clean. The only thing that was a con was that the shower situation was a bit interesting. They had a claw foot bathtub to shower in but water would get everywhere even with the shower curtains provided. Otherwise though, we had a great stay and even used their airport shuttle to get back.

Shower over the bathtub, not very practical

The bed and beddings are great. Bathroom is great with bathtub. Heated toilet seats with bidet is also great. I also like the free coffee and snacks provided in the lobby.

I booked room with window and only after booking I was informed that the window has no view and no lights would come thru the window as it is faced to the wall. So basically the window is only a decoration without any function as window. You cant see anything but wall , as the window is facing very close to the wall. This information should have been provided in the room description, before any booking was made. Had I known earlier , I would have booked different room. I tried to upgrade when I checked in, but it was no longer possible.I had room with window and paid a bit more to have this, but I had no idea whether it is raining or not, sunny or cloudy, it is basically the same as room without window.The wall between room is also very thin. I could hear the person next door snoring every single nite.
