Clean bathroom, very good breakfast, walking distance to my aunt¿s condominium.

Far from subway stations.

Breakfast was good. Decent quality for the price. I like how they have alcohol spray in the elevator and the entrance of the restaurant.

Shower was moldy and some parts were not thoroughly cleaned.

Staff and service good/very responsive, breakfast good, Wi-Fi good. Nice neighborhood (quiet/calm, good food).

The beds were kind of comfortable, but my back is a bit sensitive. And some of the things in the room had stains on them. Wish we had another chair in the room as well. And an occasional drain fly or two popped up after a few days of using the shower. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years, and this is a consistent issue.This hotel is also a little far from the main parts of the city further south, so keep that in mind depending on your itinerary. You can always take a bus or Uber downtown, but will need to add in an extra 20 - 30 minutes of travel time.

The traditional Taiwanese breakfasts are great; including fresh squeezed soy milk or popular noodles soups of your choices. you can also chose either western style, too. Most of the dishes are healthy includes micro sprouts salads, Nuts dried fruits…etc.

I missed more internacional food at breakfast time.

No small table for single travelers in the breakfast room.Lobby furniture is too cheap.Shower stalls are full of mold, no hand soap by the sink.

The size of the room and the fact that it is often used for co-op training staff.

The facility has seen better days. Some of the rooms are better than others. Some rooms have a bad odor either coming from AC unit or mold. It is hard to tell. Some rooms are nicer than others.

Buffet breakfast. No fuss check-in and out. Good location near Yangmingshan and Beitou Hot Springs.

The size and space of the rooms, the patio with view, how clean it is, location.

The cleaning agent in the common areas especially in the breakfast basement and elevators. It smells like moth balls. The guest rooms do not have that terrible smell however.

It was in a good location and surrounding location was quiet. Small but adequate room. Does need safety deposit boxes but on the day that I forgot to lock my goods, everything was as it should be on my return.

The walls between the rooms were so thin, I could hear every word coming from next door.

Wish the desk space was a little more roomy. Bed was solid, but I was a little sore at times waking up.

Nestled in Beitou, Mellowfields checks most of the boxes you would expect at a hotel. What I like most about this place is that their staff, especially their restaurant staff, provides hospitality that makes you feel so much at home. Other than that, their rooms were nice, but don't expect a 5-star hotel room here. The location of the hotel is what stands out for me. It is lcoated in such a nice, peaceful neighbourhood where the locals hike around, take walks, and sip coffee. Food options are plenty, and although it is nowhere near a train station, getting around to beitou area with a taxi or an uber is convenient too and is not too expensive.

The rooms are definitely a little more on the older side, with no carpet and a smaller toilet, but at least they are clean and fully furbished with a fridge, kettle, tea bags and etc. Location wise, it is perfect for people looking to stay in North Taipei away from the city centre but do take note that the hotel is not near any MRT station and you'd have to take a bus to get there.

The room was nice and large, great bathroom too. The lady and breakfast super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. It was nice to get new water and tea in the room every day. There is a grocery store right around the corner, the 24 laundry across the street and bus stop only 2 minutes away. Many restaurants in the area.

We could not sleep for the first 5 nights since someone next to our room was either watching TV or talking very loud for many hours in the middle of the night. We mentioned it finally to the front desk and they stopped.

The rooms had a balcony and view over the city. There was an underground parking on the premises. The buffet breakfast was offering excellent local food, only they close a little earlier than the announced time, so they cut you short if you want anything last minute. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and we went to the Shilin Night Market from there. It is also close to the Beitou public hot springs and National Museum. It’s worth selecting this place to stay in Taipei as it is of very good quality, even if a little far from the centre.

The breakfast was Taiwanese style breakfast, and that makes a very scrumptious meal! Lots of options, and they are all fresh and delicious. I really liked that there was also fruits available. The coffee is a typical espresso-style machine coffee so it was okay, but not strong enough for my preference. The dining hall uses banquet style round tables, which does make it a little awkward to dine when you're alone or with only one friend. But that's easy to get used to! The staff are also very helpful and polite, which I appreciate very much. Oh, and the room comes with shampoo and body wash, which I ended up buying the shampoo from their hotel lobby's shop because it was so good!!! Room facilities are also wonderful - absolutely comfortable. There's hairdryer and kettle, two items that are crucial for me. They also restock all the toothbrush/toothpaste sets, the complimentary tea and snack, as well as the bottled water during their daily room make-up. I'm a very satisfied customer!

The gym's opening hours. It's only available from 3pm to 8pm daily. Not too sure who is actually available during those hours to use the gym!!! I would have liked it to be 24/7 access via the room card. That way, there's flexibility to use the gym during my holiday. Apart from that, nothing to be picky about!
