Good location, comprehensive hot spring facilities, hot spring in the room was pretty spacious, good price but you get what you pay for

Staff was rude - constant reminders during breakfast that they finished at 10am, staff also called our room at 11:01AM to tell us to check out (we were on our way out the door already). Understand it was 5+ mins past check-out time, but it was 1

The staffs are very nice and helpful. The location is pretty good. Very nice breakfast. The room is quiet and big.

The hotel is bit old.

It’s close to the station, so you do not need to go too far to get there after the MRT, the rooms were very roomy, the breakfast was quite good with many options to choose from.

The room was spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed having our own onsen in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was great and had a selection of Western and Asian foods.

Awesome location within walking distance to key tourist area in Beitou: MRT, thermal valley, museum, library, culture center! Great public hot spring spa! Very enjoyable! Breakfast has a good selection!

Unfortunately both of our rooms had electrical issues related to the lights. One of the room was able to fix the light issues by removing the master card to reset. Another room - our bathroom light doesn’t turn off so we had to sleep through the night with the bathroom light on and because the door is semi-transparent it bothered us a little bit. Since we were extremely tired we were able to fall asleep anyway. It was too late to change room when we found out as our son was already in bed and we had settled in. Suggest: please check your lights .

Good Location to food n transportation. Friendly service staff

There was a really bad toilet smell near the lift lobby on our 7th floor which was not coming from the hot springs.

The front office staff was welcoming and breakfast ok.

This hotel is dated and disgusting. When entering the room I felt off right away. The sulfur smell of the hot spring (which I am aware is to be expected) plus the worn out furniture, walls with mould and general cleanliness of the room made my stomach turn. The electricity in our room was not in order. When slightly pushing a bed side table all lights turned off, see photos for reason why. Super unsafe situation with all the wires out on display with heaps of dust piled up. We reported this to the front desk and they send someone over to just simply reposition the bed side table. In the end, I was happy we were only staying one night, because I could not have endured this any longer.

Checking in was very fast and simple. Our bedroom was very nice and comfortable. Having our very own hot spring tub was amazing! The location was also very convenient to the parks, restaurants, and the public hot-springs. The breakfast had a decent buffet. Pricey but worth it.

The property is a bit worn, I.e bathroom fixtures, walls needed fresh paint.

Neglected hotel with poor maintenance and no heating

We booked a Deluxe Double Room at Beitou Sweet Me Hot Spring Resort in Taipei, but our stay turned out to be a major disappointment.The hotel is being run with an air of neglect, with no apparent interest in maintenance or improvement. Only the reception area gives a passable first impression—everything beyond that tells a different story.Despite being labeled a “Deluxe Double Room”, and being located on the top floor, our room clearly hadn’t seen basic upkeep in years. The walls were in desperate need of repainting, the bathroom had uneven tiles and traces of mold, and there wasn’t even a spare roll of toilet paper. The photos attached speak for themselves.Taipei can get cold at times, and our room dropped to 8°C (46°F) at night. The heating didn’t work, so we got out of bed and went to the reception, only to be told that “there is no heating” and that we could request an extra blanket. That’s despite there being heating controls in the room—yet another issue the owner seems unwilling to address.We contacted Booking.com to arrange an early check-out, as there were other hotels nearby that didn’t show the same level of disregard. Unfortunately, the process took so long that it would only have spared us the final night.We’ve traveled to over 40 countries and stayed in countless hotels—some excellent, some average—but this stands out as one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had.

Excellent room facilities with private hot spring bath, exceptional public hot spring bath and service, tasty breakfast with great variety of choices, well-decorated and cleanWe will come back again for the next visit, very impressive.

The staff was courteous. They also acknowledged our birthday and anniversary! The room was clean and the breakfast was delish.

Great location within walking distance of the MRT station and attractions, with plenty of amenities around. It was also wonderful having our own private hot spring in the room.

Location provides easy access to transport links and places of interest. Easy walks around the hotel.

There was a raised kerb outside the hotel. Would be nice if there is a wide ramp for easy access to the hotel.

Based on price, it is in an acceptable condition.We did experience following issues:1) Power (Electricity) cut off in one of (2) rooms (same issues as mention in one of other guest review), the technician came very quickly and show us how to reset, no further issue after that.2) At (after mid) night, the sewer (drainage) system will make some sound and backflow (bubbling). Common issues if you live in old apartment before3) (Common issues in hot spring places) Walls & ceiling with some spotty paint peeling, leakage (stain) sign, marks (mould) between few grouts between wall tiles in wet area. If you are expecting a spotless place, then you should conder other 5 stars and pay more for accommodation.

Few minutes walk away from the New Beitou metro station, very convenient to get to places via metro and buses.Room size was ok, but felt like the space was not very well utilised such that there's enough space to open luggages. Toilet/room does not havs enough space to hang towels as well.Room comes with private onsen which is great and relaxing.

Breakfast selection was alright, can be better. Some dishes are different on consecutive days. Would be better if there's water dispenser.

The location was very close to metro station, and the staffs were friendly. Breakfast was ok.

The room was a bit old and very small compared to the photos given on booking. For the price I paid, which was quite high, it’s not worthy and recommended option.
