    Pros +

    • Staff is nice , room size is good but little bit outdated. Free coffee stand is nice , surrounded is convenient to Dinhua street and nixia night market.
    • Customer service was great, very accomodating and upgrading us to a much nicer room.
    • Location was pretty good. Close to Ningxia market. 10 min walk to either two subway stations west and east of the hotel. Service was friendly and front desk was courteous. Free and delicious coffee.

    Cons -

    • no laguary facilities that make long stay bit inconvenient
    • our first room had a musty smell, but when mentioned to front desk, they switched us to a much nicer bigger room. not the best views out of the hotel windows
    • Internet was spotty but worked. Carpet could use a bit more vacuuming (for a 4 star hotel, carpet was mediocre) . Needed more pillows and more comfortable bedding.

Spacious room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff and short taxi ride to the main train station in Taipei.

The rooms are on the pricier side for Taipei.

Nice, clean hotel room. Building was quite nice. Location is pretty good as it’s not too far from Main Station and it’s close to Dihua Street and not a far bus ride to other parts

There’s not an MRT station super close to it

-spacious room and bathroom-have bathtub-have an independent closet-have large comfortable sofa-have desk area-the next to the hotel, there was supermarket-the small bath for baby and the baby bed were arranged.

-lighting selection was bit complicated-breakfast price was bit overpriced-the list was closed during the certain time (midnight for security reason)-the tv was old-the towels were given only two big one and two small ones everyday. Baby towels were not provided.

Good location Comfortable bedsTheir evening concierge was friendly , made you feel like you’re coming back “ home” from you out and about day. Staff willing to accommodate your request

The view outside the room - city alley and some one’s window across , so couldn’t have the curtains open.

The room was a reasonable size and the breakfast had a great selection. It is located a little way away from the hustle of the main streets of Taipei which makes it a little quieter.

Location did matter as we needed to catch trains frequently.

We booked this hotel specifically for the gym but it only had a couple of treadmills and nothing else. Not even a few dumbbells, or a yoga mat. I consider this false advertising and do not recommend this hotel.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, had good lighting and the hotel is luxuriously designed and had fresh flowers in the lobby. The bathroom was good and spacious with both a bath and a shower that had very good flow of hot water. We received a treat upon our arrival to the room for our honeymoon which was really nice. The room was cleaned every day which was also nice.Free coffee and tea in the spacious lobby were a good comfortable addition.

It felt pretty old fashioned, like a hotel from the 90’s that froze in time. Also there was some dust buildup on the bathroom phone. Otherwise everything was mostly clean so it wasn’t such a problem.

Good large rooms with cozy beds and well spaced furnishings

The bathroom needs an upgrade, and a 24 hour restaurant

Raymond at the front door is the best!!!!! He is the nicest and went out of his way to help us. He was so knowledgeable and spoke really good English. My son had been in tawain for 3 months learning Mandarin, so he took time to talk and help my son. It really meant alot. Every hotel needs a Raymond! The front desk gentleman with the longer hair was super nice and funny too. The breakfast was a little wild, but good. Location was the best! Walking distance to taipei main station, night market and different shopping districts!

The only downside was when we were leaving at 6am, the gentleman at the front desk chased us down outside (with our ride already there to take us to the airport) to ask where are keys are. I told him, we left them in the room. Then when we were ready to pull away he ran back out there saying we needed to pay for dry cleaning. Not sure why it wouldn't have just been added to the room bill. I had to go back in and pay with 5 people and the driver waiting.

    Location, clean hotel. Good service.

Rooms are dark and outdated. Still very clean and nice property.

The hotel was in a great location, close to a number of tourist spots without being in the crazy thick of it. I stayed for a week and as a solo female traveler, felt the area was safe even at night. The room they gave me was incredibly huge, it had a living room zone, a bed that I think was a California king, a full desk with office chair, and the bathroom had a shower and separate full sized bath. Also the place had a walk-in closet. Just so much space for one person. There was also this ingenious control panel right next to the bed, that controlled all of the lights and temperature in the room, so I could control everything without getting up. Why can’t all hotels have this? All the staff were super nice and helpful, and there were plenty of spaces to sit in the lobby. Would totally stay here again.

Maybe one thing that other people mentioned was a cigarette smell, but maybe it was coming from one of the rooms (because some days I couldn’t smell it). The place was super clean though, like I even took a bath in the bathtub and I usually wouldn’t if I felt that the place wasn’t that clean.

Good location. Close to night market, convenience stores, cafe etc.

Good location, but not very close to Taipei station.

The hotel room was like having a penthouse with great large window and marble shower and jacuzzi. Was truly enjoyable stay.

Room and lobbies and eating area all very beautiful and high quality design and materials. My breakfast not included but we paid for it one day. Beautiful breakfast room and large buffet but the food was meh compared to the other hotel I stayed in. Location was great, near Dihua district and frequent buses that took us everywhere. LOVED the huge square rain shower, like being under a waterfall. My daughter loved the separate deep tub.

We absolutely froze in room. It was warmer outside than inside. I had heater on 22 celsius and it said heat but cold air came out of vent and it stayed at 19 or 20.

Location is great - walking distance to the main station and other attractions. Room was spacious.

Air conditioning was only cooling / heat mode not working, which is not great at 15-18 degrees outside. Room we got was top floor, but we were not informed there was a futon and no chairs. We were okay, but that could be an issue for others.

The room and hotel experience far exceeded my expectations! Traveling as black person can impact your treatment even if you have a very professional and friendly disposition like me. I own a technology company that led to living in Beijing. We stayed at higher end hotels in the Sanlitun area. They were small and poorly designed, etc. Somehow I thought Taiwan hotels would be similar. I was wrong. This hotel was on par with a Westin are Intercontinental room. Except my room had a patio with a table umbrella and seating. It felt like it was on the first floor because of the stones and plants. The Superior Double, bed, bathroom, and room were a very large especially for the region. The breakfast was great, well beyond a continental breakfast that you would get in Scandinavia or Europe. The eggs, and Guava juice were the highlights for me but they had a lot to offer. The staff were very professional. The older bell man was great and really set the tone for the pleasantness of the stay. When I come back to Taiwan this is most likely the hotel I will stay. It’s clear the building is old despite the upgraded facade outside which is well done as well as the early 2000’s western interior design. There are imperfections but you simply won’t beat the combination of comfort, space, water pressure, breakfast, professionalism, location, fast WiFi, at the very competitive prices. In general Taiwan hotels have a great value to cost ratio but this was better IMHO. Oh yea, on the coffee table was a free bottle of wine and a gift box with several high-end toiletry brands. 8.8/10

The bath tub had a 3in. X 6 in. Rectangle cut out of it exposing the inner area. There was a slight smell from the air vents when the fan was blowing. Very much old building thing not concerning. There’s a lot of lobby space filled with nice seating. I think it would be a great area for a hotel bar. Probably can’t do too much about the being cracks that were painted.

Central location between markets, MRT, bus depot and riverside events. 7-11 across the road and MRT only a few blocks away. Good breakfast and really friendly staff with 24hr check in.

    Bathroom and building is dated
