    Pros +

    • I liked that the location was nice as it was right across from Jiantan MRT. The property was also close to alot of Ubikes for us to ride.

    Cons -

    • One of the young mgr refused to give us extra coffee pods
    • On the first day, there were holes in the bed sheet and pillows. Sometimes when we ran out of toilet paper rolls in the washroom, they were not replaced during room cleaning in the mornings. The jacuzzi bathtub and washroom floors were not cleaned during room cleaning every day. The breakfast options were quite expensive and limited for a 4-star hotel.
    • No room service of any sort. I was told to come down and get a toothbrush, that they couldn’t bring it up. Also, the front staff were hit or miss in terms of friendliness and helpfulness. The gym was tiny and the pool was closed. But my least favorite bit was actually what many people said they liked about it - the location. It felt suburban, and while it was directly next to the MRT, we found that the MRT in Taipei was not particularly useful. We needed to take cars to many places, as there aren’t MRT lines near places like the national palace Musuem and addiction seafood market.

The “mountain” view was nice. I wouldn’t call it a mountain, but it was very pretty. Also, the bathtub was the real highlight. The bedding was also nice.

The scale, big enough to be comfortable and small enough to be intimate.

I wish they could be a little more flexible with check in time as our flight arrival in Taipei is always in the morning. It’s exhausting to try to kill a few hours roaming the malls! ( like eight hours!) Unless you pay for an extra day, of course. Hotels used to be more accommodating for early arrivals. If there is room available they would let you have it at a reasonable time. It’s a little easier to kill four hours than eight when jet-lagged. Also the unchanging breakfast menu gets tiresome since we spent eight nights here!

The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious.

The Mountain View was not scenic.

So close to the MRT, which is directly across the the station. The room is very clean and spacious. Although across from MRT but you won’t be able to hear anything outside. It has all the amenities needed.

Nothing to complain and will recommend it others.

The property was clean. The rooms seemed to be in good condition, but there were subtle signs of disrepair and overall lack of upkeep as we stayed in the property longer.

Many things in the room were broken/non-functional. For example, one of the desk lamps was not functioning, but still left in the room unplugged and wrapped up indicating the staff knew it didn’t work. The outlets were so loose that it made it impossible for charging blocks to stay in unless they were left completely untouched. The WiFi was truly horrible, so I do not recommend anyone coming for work to stay here. The sliding doors to the bathroom were loose at the bottom and completely ineffective at staying open. Most importantly, the sterility of the property extended to the attitude of the staff, who seemed unhappy and treated guests (including others staying at the property) with a coldness I haven’t experienced elsewhere. They blankly stared as we struggled through the front doors with our bags when we arrived and left the hotel without providing simple services like helping the door stay open. Whenever we asked for help we were also treated with an unnerving coldness from the staff, such as when we asked about places to eat in the neighborhood. When we asked for a roll of toilet paper, it was not delivered. When we asked again, the staff delivering the toilet paper to the room was clearly agitated. Overall, the staff here made it feel like we were unwelcome guests arriving unannounced. I’m not sure if it’s a morale issue, but the staff here was one of the worst at hospitality I have ever seen. I don’t understand how this property has the positive reviews that it has. Maybe it was a change in management or some other issue, but I will likely never stay at this property again given the awkwardness/coldness of the staff and the many poorly hidden issues with the rooms.

Convenient location, right across from the transit . Good value for the price

Staff greeting. Employees locker room, next to my room, should be Iocked at all time. The couch surface was filled with old stain.

nothing nearby on foot except night market

i love how it’s so quiet yet so easy to reach shilin night market. There’s actually some nice shops at the back if travellers venture out more.

Need more lights for the bathroom mirror and dress mirror. It’s too dark to shave and apply makeup.

I think this was the most advanced room for the price ive stayed in! Super clean room, super spacious and hi-tech room. Location was LITERALLY in front of the Jiantan Station, red Xinyi line. Super convenient. Lots of places to eat at around the hotel, as well as convenience stores around. Walking distance from Shi Lin Market.

Tango continues to be my final stop whenever I come back to Taiwan yearly. It’s usually the first stop as well ( where I deposit my luggage and go backpacking out) . The streets behind are a hidden gem. Don’t just go for shilin night market ( which is overrated) but go for the local alley shops. Beds are super clean, mattress is excellent, pillows amazing, facilities are just good. Perfect resting spot after a hard day of holiday walking and shopping.

The location is great, just next to Shinling night market and is close to Taipei station too. Stayed one night for my anniversary. The room is comfy with great Mountain View!
