    • Great locationComfortable room, quiet even though the hotel is close to the main streetFriendly staffFree wine tasting every dayFancy restaurant which also serves breakfast

    Cons -

    • The wifi is very very slow. Sometimes even unusable. The breakfast was a let down. I stayed for two days and they don’t ever change the menu. Had to eat the same food for two days——even in a regular hotel with continental or buffet-style breakfast, they would swap out a couple of dishes here and there.
    • the bathroom door is not completely “closed” with the sliding doors and water can leak out into the bedroom if not careful.
    • Room size is smaller than other hotels at same price rangeThe breakfast is quite fancy, with several servings and beautiful presentation, but it gets repetitive. I booked for 3 nights with breakfast, but on third morning I had to skip it and try something else in the neighbourhood.

The kindest man at the reception! Plus all the free snacks and wine ? hour. Wine o'clock perfect for a couples get away. So fun and don't miss the rooftop bar!

Some of the drinks they created were strange and different from the description. Very artistic, great service, but the concept went over my head.

Location was convenient to many attractions. The security was great for the location. Front desk people were more than helpful. Breakfast was exceptional.

The room was a bit small but well laid out. The bathroom had a great Toto toilet but fairly hard to use. The walk in shower had all the features but again somewhat hard to shower based upon placement of rain wand and heads. Wine afternoon was basic at best.

Rooms are clean. Bathroom has a wash-let. Wine tasting on each floor, every day between 5pm and 7pm. Snacks and minibar are complimentary. The complimentary coffee in the lobby is excellent!

The breakfast is served really slow. It's not a buffet, but some sort of à la carte concept. The breakfast has a whole lot of restrictions coming with it though, which you may not expect from a hotel. In fact, the breakfast experience made our stay less relaxing. Some things you might want to be aware of:1. During check-in you have to select a 30-minute time slot during which you plan to have breakfast on each day.2. You'll have to select what and how much you want to eat the day before, by selecting your meal choices on a Google form, and in Chinese. The meal options are the same every day.3. The restaurant staff are really slow to bring your meal "courses".4. The order of the "courses" is odd. They will bring an empty glass, and then fill it 20 minutes later with a beverage. An egg comes consistently at the end of your meal, when your bread has already been consumed.5. Coffee comes at the very end. Why not ask people when they want to have their drinks: during or after the meal?6. Cereals are just processed from a factory like choco pops etc., don't expect real oats.7. Yoghurt comes in a plastic tub, you can remove the plastic lid yourself. Not very environmentally considerate and not tasty either.8. Staff cleared plates between courses but just nót every plate. So you were left with a little graveyard of plates all the time, to a point where the newly arriving dish could not sit on the table anymore. How's that even possible in a "Michelin" star restaurant?8. We sat there 90 minutes for a breakfast!!! Most of the time, just waiting. In summary, that flaunting of the "Michelin" experience is an overcompensation and at times just ridiculous. The ingredients are nothing special. Also, a good breakfast does not need to come in strict order. If you are from a western upbringing, you might find that they are trying a too hard to come across as "fine dining".

Service is good, the hotel design is elegant and artful.

The space of the room for 3 twins is kind of small. The allocation is ok, not very convenient.

Don't skip on Molino de Urdaniz, the restaurant in the basement of the hotel. Recommend the chef's tasting menu during dinner for a great fusion mix of tastes and flavors. Pricey, but worth it for a relaxed dress code (they don't enforce suit/jacket for men) dining experience that is still middle-upper tier- this is especially important with those with kids as our 9 and 12 year olds were able to join us for the meal without the pretentiousness that may be present at other Michelin-starred locations. They offered kids meals-- either a nice seafood pasta for 480 NTD or a 5 course kids set for 1580 NTD... We opted for the 5 course for our youngest who enjoyed their experience.Location is pretty decent as well with good proximity to two MRT stations that each have two MRT lines. Didn't try the breakfast because when in Taiwan it is much better to go to a Taiwan breakfast joint. All snack and beverage items in the room were free of charge and a snack+beverages bar on each floor could also be accessed without additional fees. Finally, the rooftop lounge is fantastic with a few outside seats. They have heaters for when it gets cold and the food, admittedly limited menu, appears to be prepped from the same great restaurant in the basement. The hotel arranged an early morning (0500) Songshan airport taxi ride for 600 NTD. Sure, it was maybe 4x expensive as flagging down a ride on the street, but having the driver waiting for us when we came downstairs at 0455 was very convenient.

I'm finding it difficult to think of anything we did not enjoy about our stay at this hotel. The price is a little higher than other hotels in Taipei, but you get what you pay for...

Nice hotel but rooms are extra smalls - smaller than in Paris or NY. Also I was surprised we couldn’t get breaksfast as they were already « full » for next day (we checked in at 7pm). I think priority should be given to hotel guests.
