Watermark Hotel - Kaohsiung Main Station

2 min walk from the main train station. Room was spacious and well maintained. Also glad that there was a laundry room that was accessible till late.

There is only 1 lift in the building.

The location,

When it came time to relax in the room, there was only two channels for movies in English. The breakfast is OK. They should put out some scrambled eggs and have a waffle iron.As for the room itself, it could use more storage space for clothes.

The room for two was spacious and has a balcony. Water pressure was strong(4th floor). The kaohsiung main station is just infront of the hotel which made our commute easy.

The front office staff when we checked in last Nov 18 around 8pm was courteous and helpful but on our checkout on Nov 22, the front office lady was rude.The food is on repeat play?

The room was spacious enough, there is a large window overlooking the train station area which looks nice at night There are 3 washing machines and dryers available to use - washing is free but you need to use coins for the dryer. There is an orange juice and cold water dispenser available to use at all times. The breakfast is also very well stocked with a large selection of foods.

The bathroom pipe system had some issues which produced an unpleasant smell so make sure you need to keep the bathroom door close. The staff was a bit cold when we arrived - we were 20 minutes earlier than the check in hour and I asked if it's possible to check in early and they just said that check-in is at 3:00PM - thanks I guess. There is a lot of sound coming from the hallway so if you're unlucky to have some bad-mannered neighbours it can create a bit of noise but we had earplugs.

The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the front desk service was also very good.

They don’t have hair dryer

Excellent location right outside Kaohsiung Station (both HSR and MRT) and nice breakfast. The room had a good layout and the bed was so comfy - it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The hotel has washing machines that can be used for free (with laundry detegent) and coin-operated dryers.

A hair dryer was not provided in the room.

Weak wifi

The location is perfect. It was near the Kaohsiung Main Station. We also loved the free breakfast, and most of all the helpful staff of the hotel.

We're a group of 6 friends staying in 2 rooms and the space in the rooms was rather narrow for us to open our luggage and move around.

We liked the location as it was next to the metro, the buffet was simple but effective, the laundry facility was useful. Bathrooms were also very clean and nice.

This hotel was incredibly convenient, sited just across the street from Kaohsiung Main Station and only one stop from Formosa Boulevard, which had the Dome of Light and a night market. The room was nice and the breakfast options were fantastic. For the price, I would certainly stay here again.

The room was a bit small and had some missing tiles in the bathroom. As a single traveler who spent very little time in the room, it did not hinder my stay at all. Room was very comfortable and met my needs for a fantastic price.

Great food, services and very clean.

The breakfast by bay windows facing main train station makes it an enjoyable experience. The breakfast was simple but will fit tastebuds of international crowd. Room is extremely big, with ample space to lay out all your suitcase.

The centralised aircon grille has some vibrations now and then.

Convenient center of town location, next to station with all the transport we needed, so we were able to visit the great fine art museum and other interesting locations with relative ease. Kaohsiung has become a truly modern place, while keeping some of the old cityscape intact

Amazingly the TV-cable media center was broken and needed staff to come up and fix it. Unbelievable in this day and age.

The location is very convenient

The clothes dryer dont work very well and the toilet design kind of give me the feel of hosptial toilet

The rooms and bed were spacious. The breakfast buffet had enough choices to explore and not get sick of. The staff were also very helpful in an emergency. (My mom had an allergic reaction, and they quickly identified a nearby hospital and clinic plus called it in so they'd know to expect us.)
