Hotel South Sea

This hotel was in the perfect location. It is easy walking distance to a few night markets and the Formosa metro station, as well as some temples, and the river and running paths along the river. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and there was a hot/cold water dispenser and free coffee and tea in the lobby. My room was small but comfortable, and had a nice big window. Despite the hotel being in a pretty busy section of town, it was not super noisy. You could hear the cars go by on the street sometimes but it is not a very loud street all in all. The beds are firm, which I prefer, and there are tons of options for groceries and dining out nearby.

The WiFi was not fast (8 mbps up / 4 mbps down). This is not the hotel's fault, but despite no smoking rules, someone was definitely smoking on my floor.

Great location close to metro and night market. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, free laundry machines on the roof. Very nice and accommodating staff. Great stay!

What I do like about the property is that it is clean, it has a heater and the other things that you might need during your stay, they have free water, coffee and tea, it is like 10 minutes walk from Formosa Station, 4 minutes to Liuhe Night Market, and has a nearby 7-11. In addition, the staffs are all accommodating, very kind, and respectful.

Too expensive on weekends.Advertised with breakfast but was not provided. It’s least and very base equipped motel. Should be three star or less.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially the cleaning crew. Convenient location. Good value. If you're budget conscious, this is a good choice.

The threshold for the bathroom is not my favorite as it can be an unnecessary hazard.

There is no early check-in. (Arriving at 8 AM) But the staff was so nice. Let we check-in 1 hour (3:00 PM) before actual check-in time (4:00 PM)

Excellent location near Metro station. Staff was friendly. Room was large and spacious, with lots of storage space including a ledge above the beds. Room even had a small refrigerator. Air conditioner worked well. Hotel was also within walking distance of Liuhe night market for late-night eats.

Due to only having a 3-in-one shampoo/conditioner/body soap for the shower, there was no hand soap for the restroom.

Close to the subway station and the night market, friendly staff. Hotel feels a bit outdated but was still comfortable an clean.

Only downside was that the bathroom had a bit of a bad smell, even when you leave the window open all day. So we had to keep the bathroom door shut all the time. Overall good value for the amount we paid.

Largely a good hotel, clean rooms and comfortable beds/sheets. Only downside was the stains on the mattress and some sheets.

The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly and responsive to enquires. It is also located close to public transport and sites for sightseeing.

Nice staff, free use of washing machine, elevator and good location. We were given an upgrade for free from room with no window to room with window.

The room was dull and dingy. There were water leaks in the ceiling that made the room feel dirty and depressing to be in. Wallpaper coming off the wall. The room needs attention.

For the price it was good, clean, close to the main station. The furniture with wear and tear, the bath was a bit lacking. Personnel very very friendly and helpful.

Walk within 15 minutes to MRT station

Not clean enough, there were many small flies around the room, so frustrated.
